Cardinal Provisions catered our wedding at the Asbury Hotel September 2024 and did an incredible job. This is not an exaggeration when I say that since the wedding, 20-30 people have told me, individually and unprompted, that it was the best food that they’d ever had at a wedding. Molly was super kind and accommodating in helping us narrow down our menu (they have so many great options, it was honestly hard to choose). The dinner service was perfect, their staff was friendly and professional. They really delivered across the board. We’ve always loved eating at Cardinal when we are in Asbury Park, we were thrilled to learn they catered, and couldn’t be happier with how it all came together. The food was phenomenal (especially the farro with roasted mushrooms-10/10), the people were great, and the service was stellar.

Cardinal was the caterer for our wedding in Asbury Park in August and they were absolutely wonderful! They came highly recommended from all our other vendors and once we stopped by their restaurant we understood why.

We worked mostly with Molly, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. She organized an incredible tasting at the restaurant for me, my husband, and my parents. We had the best time and then couldn't stop raving about the food.

One of the biggest reasons we chose Cardinal was because of their unique options. We knew that by going with them that our guests would have delicious and seasonal food that they don't often get to have at weddings. Cardinal also provides gorgeous vintage plates, which I loved so much and continue to get compliments on. Our flowers were colorful and I expressed to Molly that I was nervous about some of the plates clashing with the flowers. Before the wedding, Molly went through all the plates they were bringing to the venue and removed any with bold patterns. When I say Molly is the best and went above and beyond for us - I really mean it!

As we expected, the food was incredible and all the dishware looked beautiful. And their desserts were one of the biggest highlights for a lot of our guests! Everyone that we spoke with about Cardinal recommended the choco tacos and they were even better than everyone hyped them up to be.

Cardinal also catered our post-wedding brunch. I was a bit all over the place with the brunch but Molly was so patient and ready to jump in whenever we had the plans sorted out. And everyone loved the brunch food so much, that we actually ran out of food but, once again, Molly was the best and went back to the restaurant to grab some more.

I can go on and on about how much we loved working with them and how Cardinal added so much to how special and amazing our wedding weekend was. I can't recommend them enough!

We worked with Grace on our wedding cake and desserts and OMG they were amazing! Our chocolate tahini cake was both beautiful and delicious. During the cake cutting we actually had seconds because it was so good (who says no one eats the cake at a wedding?). We also had the home made choco tacos and vegan chocolate chip cookies and they were so delicious! The choco tacos were definitely a hit! We also worked with them on a platter for brunch the next day and their pastries were to die for! Grace was so kind and easy to work with throughout the process and we can’t thank the Cardinal team enough!

We recently got married in April 2022 at The Asbury and Cardinal Provisions was our caterer! We were specifically looking for something other than "typical wedding food" and they definitely delivered! The grazing pile and passed hors d'oeuvres were so delicious that people were chasing down the servers for more! Dinner was also great and we loved the vintage china they use. Katy was great working out our menu to be exactly what we envisioned and worked really well with people who had food allergies and dietary restrictions.

The cake was also so beautiful and delicious. We opted to also get the choco tacos which were a HUGE hit!

We would highly recommend Cardinal and will be dining with them at their restaurant location in the future!

I cannot even begin to express how AMAZING and how above and beyond the Cardinal team went for my wedding. My husband and I got married at the Bear Creek Herbary and it's an untraditional type venue (garden center with beautiful greenhouse situation). Cardinal cooked our food outside in the fire pits which my guests thought was the coolest thing ever (okay, let's be real, I thought was the coolest thing ever). I'm a total foodie and our food for the wedding was my number 1 priority. Cardinal was absolutely everything I dreamed about. Both my and my husband's younger brothers are extremely allergic to nuts and my mom and a few other friends/family members are vegan. We chose a casual buffet style menu that was comprised mostly of vegan sides and different proteins. I wanted all my guests to be able to try everything. No one left hungry. Everyone raved about the food. I wish I had eaten more. I still dream about our wedding food. They also provided bartenders and created some delicious and beautiful whimsical flower based drinks (I'm a floral designer) with edible floral garnishes. I seriously cannot. The whole Cardinal team is cool, they kicked butt at my wedding even though it was 100 degrees out (and prob hotter in the greenhouse) and I'm totally grateful and want to do it all over. Thank you so much for feeding us the good stuff, can't wait to visit the restaurant soon!
