I have ordered 5 cakes from Katelyn and am so excited to order many, many more! She is incredibly thoughtful, kind, talented, and amazing to work with. She always makes my ideas, no matter how crazy or farfetched, look even better than I could have imagined. Her cakes have made birthdays and other parties for myself and my loved ones, that much more special. Not to mention, they are the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted. If you don’t live too far away from Durham, do yourself a favor and order a cake (or multiple) from her!!

Capital Cakes did a great job with our wedding cake. The cake was beautiful and all of our guests loved it!

We ordered our wedding cake from Capital Cakes, and we were so thrilled with how it turned out! Katelyn was responsive and easy to work with, and we LOVED that we were table to pick up a tasting box of different flavors to try on our own time. We ended up going with a lemon cake with blueberry buttercream filling, and it was absolutely delicious! We've had multiple guests have reached out to tell us how much they loved it. Katelyn did an excellent job decorating our cake with a beautiful flower cascade. We're really looking forward to ordering another one of her cakes in the future.
