A little about me:

My name is Dara and I’m a stay at home mom of four boys. I can remember as a child my grandmother made fun birthday cakes for all of her grandchildren and beautiful wedding cakes for whoever asked. When I found out that one of my son’s had an egg allergy I though of all the great cakes I had growing up thanks to my grandmother and realized if I wanted him to have the same memories I was going to have to learn to make them for him. It took a while to figure out how to bake without eggs and then came the real challenge when I found out my youngest was allergic to dairy and has a soy sensativaty. I made even more changes to my recipies and now I have a few that are dairy, egg, soy, and / or nut free. I have learned to make and decorate cakes by trial and error. I started out making birthday cakes for my children because of their food allergies. I enjoyed seeing the end result and thought they looked great. I then started getting requests from my family and friends to make birthday cakes for their kids too. I soon realized that others liked the looks and taste of my cakes as well. A few years ago I got my first request for a wedding cake, not sure at first if I could do it, I took on the challenge and it turned out better than expected! It has since then become my passion to design and create cakes for all occasions. Now, with a considerable amount under my belt, I have decided to take the plunge and start my own business making and selling cakes to more than just family and friends.
