She was so responsive, communicative, and on top of every little detail. Candela and the team made the entire planning process feel seamless, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. We planned a 35 person, $1000pp budget wedding at the Baja Luna in Oct 2026. Our goal was to create an intimate, unique experience for our guests. We had a specific vision and, most importantly, didn't want a cookie cutter wedding.

Pao met us where we were at, then went above and beyond. The CIL team helped streamline decisions about our lower priority vendors (florals, DJ, etc.) so that we had more time and budget to put towards the areas that mattered more. Perhaps surprisingly, I LOVED our florals and DJ and I am so grateful that Pao guided us to such fantastic decisions.

Towards the end, we had loads of logistical details that Pao handled seamlessly. She found a baker at the last minute who made GORGEOUS cookies to hand out to our guests upon arrival at the hotel. CIL printed signs and provided easels for our welcome party. Pao picked up the 15+ items that we brought to Cabo for our event and ensured all the vendors got these.

However, the point where Pao and team came through for us was entirely unplanned. Our wedding was rained out! In the week leading up to the event, there was uncertainty as to whether we'd get rain or it would pass us by. Pao handled this uncertainty expertly, keeping me in the loop and providing me with options. To be clear, Cabo never gets rain - the team was not experienced at handling this situation. Nevertheless, I have zero feedback - they made all the right decisions. I still can't believe how they magically figured everything out.

Pao went above and beyond in a number of ways: getting us a tent at the last minute, reworking the event configuration, and coordinating transport back from the venue (as the road was very muddy and our normal vans wouldn't handle it). My guests later told me that she turned into a drill sergeant whilst shepherding guests to the ceremony, all in service of my dream: getting married in the Baja Luna chapel before the rain started. She did everything and more to ensure I got my dream wedding.

What impressed most during the rain situation is that there were several times when my opinion and Pao's opinion on major calls (like whether to move the ceremony time) differed. She made her case expertly and when I disagreed, she completely committed to my decision and making it work. That takes immense professionalism and, ultimately, care. It shows the values and mindset that she brings to her work.

Something always goes wrong during a wedding. Going with CIL, and specifically Pao, means you will have a force of nature in your corner to ensure everything within your control goes right.

My primary planner was Ceima, and David (one of the owners) also joined many of our meetings. From the very beginning, it was obvious that wedding planning is so much more than a job for them, it’s something they are genuinely passionate about. They truly care about their clients and are dedicated to bringing each couple’s vision to life.

They provide a carefully curated list of high-quality vendors based on your preferences, making the selection process so much easier. They also keep track of every payment, due date, and contract in a shared spreadsheet that you have access to, and they send timely reminder emails so nothing falls through the cracks. Wedding planning involves an overwhelming number of details, yet somehow they manage everything with incredible organization and professionalism.

Communication was always excellent. They were responsive via both email and WhatsApp, and I always felt like I had someone in my corner.

On the wedding day, their service truly exceeded every expectation. Their team was there from start to finish, ensuring vendors arrived on time, overseeing the entire setup, checking in on both my husband and me throughout the day, and guiding our guests so everything ran seamlessly. Ceima stayed by my side while David was with my husband, making sure we were both taken care of every step of the way.

I first reached out to Paola at Cabo in Love in June 2025 after we chose Los Agaves at Acre as our wedding venue. I honestly was not looking forward to the wedding planning process, so I really wanted to make it as low stress as possible by hiring somebody. From the very beginning, I felt like she truly understood my vision and had the expertise to bring it to life. Candela Fernandez was assigned as my wedding planner, and I immediately knew she was the perfect fit. She was incredibly organized and had a clear plan for how the next 11 months would unfold.

I can be very indecisive, and throughout the process she was always kind, patient, and steady. Even when I wasn’t the most responsive, she gently kept me on track, offered honest and thoughtful opinions, and made sure I never felt overwhelmed. Her knowledge of the venue and local vendors made everything seamless, and I felt completely comfortable knowing she regularly worked with the same vendors I had chosen. Having someone so familiar with the area was especially important to us since this was a destination wedding.

Candela kept everything impeccably organized: our budget, our timeline, and every next step. She was extremely responsive. We struggled to get in touch with the hotel room‑block coordinator, and she stepped in firmly and professionally to help resolve the situation. When we visited Cabo for our tasting about six months before the wedding, she coordinated everything, picked us up, and took us to different hotels so we could decide where to host our room block.

As the wedding approached, she kept me on schedule with payments and even helped coordinate a few discounts that could be handled in cash the day before. At the rehearsal, she guided me, the bridal party, and the groomsmen through every detail with so much patience-repeating anything we needed to ensure the day would run perfectly.

On the wedding day, she was calm, professional, and completely in control. I also met Pao Camacho, who was just as lovely and capable. My father‑in‑law had arranged a special and surprise delivery of a surfboard for our guestbook, and Candela and Pao made the entire process effortless. Throughout the day, Candela and Pao kept everything running on time, and I never felt rushed or unsure of what was happening next. If anything went wrong, I truly had no idea because they handled everything flawlessly.

Multiple guests commented on how professional, kind, and well‑coordinated the team was. I am genuinely so grateful for Cabo in Love and especially for Candela for their time, care, and attention in making our wedding day an absolute dream. I wish I could work with this team again!
