Loved getting married at Brighton!

My husband and I met on ski patrol at Brighton, so it was only fitting that we got married there. We got married at the Milly Chalet in July and it was gorgeous. The hillside was lush and green - we couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. Brighton was great to work with and super flexible. We got married on the lawn out front, had dinner tables inside, and our bar and dancing out on the deck under bistro lights. It was perfect!

It was nice to have a venue where we could BYOB (served by a bartender) and had a couple choices of caterers. The venue comes with included plastic round tables and chairs. We ended up renting wooden tables and chairs because it fit our vibe better.

Be-Utah-ful Mountain wedding

Brighton Ski Resort was such a beautiful place to get married! We got married at the Milly Chalet Lodge. It was so perfect!! The snow melted just in time for out July wedding. The river was flowing and flowers were starting to grow. The responsiveness to messages was delayed but on the wedding day everything was great. The staff was super helpful and responsive. They went above and beyond to make our day special and make sure that it was exactly how we wanted it. They were very nice, friendly and professional. We got our dream mountain wedding! So much cheaper then the other ski resorts! Definitely would recommend.

i absolutely loved my venue, however the contact in charge of setting us up was not very quick to respond and get us information. The venue is perfect for outdoor weddings and really fit our personality well. I would recommend this venue just make sure you are working with a good contact from the resort.

Vendor review of this venue

As a vendor I understand that critical reviews can be hurtful, so I will be as professional as possible when writing this.

I am a musician who recently played at a wedding held at the Milly Chalet at Brighton Resort. When we played, it was about 100 degrees outside. I was waiting to have an umbrella set up for my group and discovered that I had forgotten a water bottle. I saw that the bartender was basically set up but was still doing some things to be completely ready to go. I walked up and asked him for a water when he had a minute. He flat out said "No." I couldn't believe I was being denied water. The woman behind him followed that up with "we will be filling the jugs soon." What kind of place won't give water to a fellow wedding worker on a hot day like that? It's not like I was asking to be served and it wasn't like I was demanding it immediately. They didn't even tell me another alternative as to where to get water.

When I asked the coordinators if they hired the bar tender or if he worked for the venue they said that he worked for the venue and asked why I wanted to know. When I told them he wouldn't even give me a glass of water they lost their minds. They told me that they had been there since 10:00 in the morning for an afternoon wedding and had been denied a restroom until guests started to arrive! This was one of their many complaints about the cooperation and helpfulness of the Brighton Milly Chalet. I personally witnessed the coordinators asking the venue for assistance setting up our shade and they wouldn't even do that much. The staff there couldn't be bothered.

This venue is either not treating/paying their employees very well making them fairly disgruntled or they are telling their employees to treat other people this way. Either way, it's not great. I was less than impressed with the level of service provided. Seriously... it was just water... you should have just been a decent person and said more than "no." I would choose another venue as there are many great ones to choose from around here.
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
