Alta’s Rustler Lodge is a wedding venue in Alta, Utah. Nestled amidst the Wasatch Mountain Range and just 30 minutes from Salt Lake City, this lush alpine meadow setting is the perfect spot for a romantic and unforgettable wedding celebration.
Facilities and Capacity
Alta’s Rustler Lodge hosts wedding ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. The venue can accommodate parties of up to 180 guests and offers a choice of indoor and scenic outdoor event spaces. The spacious Ceremony Lawn affords spectacular views of the Wasatch Mountains. You can exchange vows and then enjoy some quiet time strolling through the wildflower gardens before making your way to the Cocktail Patio for beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Nearby, you will also find the Rehearsal Dinner Deck, where you and your guests can mingle and relax. The 1,600-square-foot Rustler Dining Room is a delightfully rustic space, perfect for an elegant wedding reception. The smaller, more intimate Eagles Nest Bar and Lounge, with its high-top fireplace, cozy couches, 360-degree fireplace, and unsurpassed views, is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the company of family and friends. Alta’s Rustler Lodge also has 65 guest rooms, a heated outdoor pool, and steam room and sauna.

If there was a word better than “perfect,” then I would use that word
- The staff was accommodating, kind, insanely helpful, and they worked hard and fast to make sure everything got done in time. They were also very fun to chat with, and were always a good vibe.
- The facility was very clean and kept in great condition. There were also lots of fun things to find in the hotel, such as an arcade room and game room on the 7th floor.
- Having the entire hotel for your party for the weekend was definitely the move. We had the pool to ourselves and all of the facility amenities.
- The views were nuts. I mean, obviously, we were in Little Cottonwood Canyon, but having high rustler in the background is next level
- The spa was very nice, the pool and hot tubs were perfect, the food tasted great, there was shuttle service to Oktoberfest at Snowbird, the lawns and yards were manicured well, I could go on and on.
Bottom line: Book it. It’s worth it.
The Perfect Mountain Wedding
The staff was incredible—so welcoming, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. Planning was seamless, and the entire weekend felt effortless. From a late-night pool party to cozy moments in the one-of-a-kind après ski bar, every space felt fun, warm, and full of character.
Alta in the summer was stunning. With the natural beauty of the mountains, we hardly needed any decorations beyond flowers—it was already perfect.
Our wedding day was completely stress-free and full of joy. We’ll never forget it, and we’ll always be grateful to The Rustler for giving us the most meaningful weekend of our lives! We highly recommend this venue, and couldn’t imagine a better day.
