We recently had the privilege of hosting our wedding at Soldier Hollow Nordic Center, and it was truly the most magical experience we could have imagined. From the breathtaking mountain views to the impeccable service, every detail exceeded our expectations.

The venue’s natural beauty is absolutely stunning. The sweeping vistas and serene atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the location—it’s a dream for any couple looking to blend elegance with the beauty of the outdoors.

What really set Soldier Hollow apart was the incredible staff. The team was professional, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. They worked with us every step of the way, ensuring that no detail was overlooked, from the setup to the flow of the event. We felt supported and cared for throughout the entire process, which made the day stress-free and enjoyable. Colleen was a dream to work with and was super responsive and helpful when we needed help with vendors, site plans, etc.

The facilities were immaculate, and the flexibility of the space allowed us to create a wedding that truly reflected our personalities. Whether you want a small, intimate gathering or a larger celebration, Soldier Hollow provides everything you need for a flawless day.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. Soldier Hollow will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we highly recommend it to any couple looking for a breathtaking, unforgettable wedding experience.

I got married in June of 2025 at the new Soldier Hollow Nordic Center ("Sports Discovery Center"). I've been waiting to write this review until after I got my pictures back because I wanted to do this venue justice. It is BREATHTAKING. Super reasonably priced right now because it's still a hidden gem (If I'm not mistaken I think when we booked in the fall of 2024 it had only had 5 weddings there) but once the word gets out they could and should charge double or more.

Colleen is the venue coordinator and was so accommodating towards our vision and easy to work with to make your event a success. You have an entire section of the Midway mountainside to yourself and the venue is designed well to take advantage of the incredible views with the massive wrap-around deck, floor-to-ceiling windows and the clear garage-style doors that turns the main space into an open-air room. Since our wedding was a little larger and we were maxing out the cap (200 people), I decided to use the upstairs for dinner and the downstairs outdoor patio for the reception so there would be ample room. It worked out great.

I can't recommend this venue enough. It was fantastic to find a place in Utah that not only was so beautiful and private, but could accommodate a larger wedding and was easy to coordinate with. Thank you, Soldier Hollow, for helping make this event so special and unforgettable.

We had our wedding at Soldier Hollow on 10/4/2025. We booked about a year and a few months early and the entire time the venue coordinator, Colleen, was exceptional. She is super friendly and down to earth. Just very easy to work with and made the process seem less stressful after getting off a call with her. She provided such great guidance and was always available when I had questions. The venue itself was a dream. Everything came out beautifully. Even when it rained on our wedding day and our ceremony was planned to be outdoors, Colleen already had a plan to keep the theme outdoors while staying dry. The views were still spectacular during the ceremony and reception. Everything truly came out better than I could have ever asked. I highly recommend Soldier Hollow and their pricing is way more affordable than the other venues that have similar views.

My husband and I recently got married at the “sports discovery center” building at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center. We truly had the best day ever and a great experience with the venue. The venue provide tables and chairs for the ceremony and the reception and we were responsible for finding all other vendors but they provided a list of recommended vendors, many of which we chose from the list and they were fabulous. The venue coordinator, Colleen, was incredibly responsive, understanding, and accommodating to all our needs and questions including providing helpful hints and things she’d previously seen overlooked in the planning process. This allowed our day to be flawless. Our friends and family were mostly from out of town and absolutely blown away with the beauty of the venue and surrounding area. I wish we could relive the day over and over again and if we did we’d do it all again at soldier hollow in a heart beat.

We had a beautiful wedding at Soldier Hollow! Our ceremony took place in the meadow, and we held our reception in the Nordic Center. The wraparound patio and large garage doors created the perfect indoor-outdoor feel for our celebration.

What I loved most about this venue is that it offers a true blank slate. From catering to linens, you have the freedom to design every aspect of your wedding exactly as you envision it. That flexibility really allowed us to make the day feel uniquely ours.

Colleen, the venue coordinator, was outstanding. She communicated clearly, set expectations, and was so supportive in helping us bring our dream wedding to life. We feel very fortunate to have found Soldier Hollow and would absolutely recommend it to other couples.

I still can’t believe we were able to have our wedding at Soldier Hollow. It truly felt like we stumbled upon the best-kept secret in wedding venues. If you’re dreaming of a breathtaking destination wedding without the massive price tag, this is the place.

My partner and I had toured countless ski lodges in search of a mountain wedding, and most were quoting us upwards of $50k. Soldier Hollow, on the other hand, gave us everything we were looking for and more — and somehow it all came in under budget.

Soldier Hollow is a Nordic Olympic ski center, and booking here felt like getting a private mountain overlooking a lake all to ourselves. The new reception building is modern and stunning, with a wraparound deck that was perfect for cocktail hour. During the reception, the huge garage doors opened up to the deck, letting our guests flow in and out and enjoy the sunset views. It felt magical.

What really set this place apart, though, was how customizable everything was. We had full flexibility to tailor the space to our style, and Colleen, the venue coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She was so invested in making sure everything went smoothly — helping with the floor plan, sending pictures during the planning process, even meeting with our DJ ahead of time. She let us drop off a few key items the day before, which gave us more time with our loved ones on the actual day. That kind of thoughtfulness made all the difference.

If you're considering Soldier Hollow — do it. I can't recommend it enough. It’s the kind of place made all of our guests say, “How did you find this?!” and made us feel like the luckiest couple in the world.

As the mother of the groom, and lead wedding planner, when our original venue notified us 3 weeks before the wedding that there had been a fire, and they would not be able to host the wedding, it was stressful! Thankfully, we were connected with Colleen from the Soldier Hollow Sports Discovery Center.

Colleen was AMAZING! She immediately stepped up, scheduled a tour for that weekend, and assured us that the wedding was “no problem”. She was an excellent communicator, very responsive (even in the wee hours of the night) and provided excellent support throughout the planning process. In fact, in the short time that we knew her, we felt that she provided a level of support that we hadn’t experienced with the other venue. She was very action focused. On wedding day, we were fortunate to have the assistance of Kathryn. She was kind, calm, and checked-in with us regularly.

In addition to the planning support we received, the venue was gorgeous, inside-and-out! It was fresh and new, and covered EVERY detail we were looking for…all the way down to “nice” bathrooms. The outside provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and pictures, the inside was perfect for dining, dancing, and the events of the day. We felt that we were granted a freedom at this venue that we didn’t have at the original venue…the stress was replaced with relief and excitement.

As far as recommended service opportunities for the future, it would have been nice to have the option for a “day of” wedding planner” to address any hurdles with vendors and ensure we stayed on schedule. Final clean-up was also our responsibility, it would have been nice to have the option to pay for this service. I think we would have been willing to pay a little more for these service options.

In the end, the fire at the original venue was a "blessing", as we ended up celebrating this momentous occasion at a venue that surpassed that of the original and exceeded our expectations!

We may be biased, since we had the BEST time at our wedding, but Soldier Hollow Nordic Center & Day Lodge was the most beautiful venue! Judy was so wonderful and helpful and even had staff there to help the whole day. When you book you get the whole day from 9am - 11pm, and since we were able to use all our own vendors we went in early and the tables and chairs were already set up, so we just added our DIY touches. Since the venue is more rustic we didn't need many decorations which was SO nice on a budget and the venue had table and chairs, and chairs for our outside ceremony. They had a bar that could be set up out side and large deck that surrounded the lodge. We were so grateful to have found the lodge for such a great price and to have met Judy!
