I used her for my engagement session and my wedding. They both turned out really well. The only reason it is not a full 5 stars, is because it was a few weeks before I got my pictures back. Other than the length of how long it took for me to receive the pictures, I am completely happy with her work.

Brenda was contracted as our photographer for our wedding. As with any wedding day, things went awry and she did step in to help (EVEN WITH BOUQUETS!). The reason for the 3.5/5 rating is that she didn't come to our reception. She told us that the limo was too fast and she wasn't able to keep up, but our groomsmen and other guests who were following the limo made it with no problem. I'm not sure what happened, but I do know that I won't have any pictures from my reception. After speaking with her about it, she said she didn't have the correct address for the venue, but I have an e-mail from June 23rd that confirms she was made aware of the correct dates. It's only been two days since the wedding so I can't speak for quality of the photos. I'm just a bit upset that I won't have any professional photos for the reception even though I paid for them.

12/22/2014 Update: Rating is now down to a 2/5 (and that's being generous). After a ton of back and forth with Brenda, she finally agreed to refunding a portion of our money since she didn't show up to the reception. Once she sent us the payment, we took it to our bank, but the were unable to cash it. So we took it to the bank that was printed on the check. The teller informed us that there weren't any funds in the account to cover the check. Needless to say, I WAS LIVID! After sending Brenda an e-mail (paper trail), I got no response. My wedding was in September, this happened in October. It is now DECEMBER, and I have yet to hear from Brenda. I went to her bank again today; STILL NO FUNDS. I called her, left a voicemail, and sent another e-mail. Sadly, my next step is to pursue legal action.
In regards to the quality of the pictures, BORING! There was absolutely no creativity. You would think that she could have at least done some special effects on a few of them since she didn't even get any pictures from the reception. But, no. I would NEVER recommend Brenda Lee Photography to another bride.

Brenda was very punctual showing up for my wedding and engagement session. Afterwards she posted on her website that she was running weeks behind editing. Every status after that was initiated by me. My family, friends and co-workers teased me that I had coned, phone number from website disconnect as well as the number in our contract. I would not have known what was going on with my photos, if I had not contacted Brenda.

I only received t about 230 photos to include engagement and a six hour wedding session. There was no creativity. The wedding photo checklist was a great idea if it was implemented. I expected more; to include creativity and better editing. My engagement session was so disappointing I hired Campbell Photography and for a one hour engagement shoot, he edited over 300 great photos. My advise to you, Brenda is to stop overbooking and provide quality service to your customers. I regret that I did not cancel and request a refund after traveling 100 miles to Birmingham and only received 40 photos..... I overpaid generously. Photos that were taken by my guest that had gait instability were better. On top of that; you ate generously and left one hour early..... I literally wasted $1000. Thanks BrendaLee for capturing everything else but my special day. You will be highly un-recommended. She contacted wedding wire to get my posting removed stating that she has had no business transactions with me. It was very easy for me to forward a copy of my cleared check. For any other wedding wire members or anyone else that googled Brenda Lee Photography / Brenda McDonald please read my review before you contact. Better yet; get a few hundred dollars, get on the interstate, let the window down with your money In hand out the window; you will be better off with your iPad or a Polaroid camera.
