Braids by Ellie is a wedding beauty business based out of Gilbert, Arizona. The precocious and entrepreneurial owner Ellie Mulqueen started doing wedding hairstyling when she was only 16 years old. Since then, she has brought bespoke and beautiful hair services to nuptials throughout Arizona. She and her team are dedicated to making sure each of their client’s tresses is a dream come true on their romantic day.

Services Offered
Specializing in braids and updos, Ellie believes that braids add the perfect boho vibe to any photoshoot. Her team of beauticians offers consultations and trials, during which they get to know soon-to-be-newlyweds and find the perfect hairstyles to match their wedding aesthetics. On the big day, they provide on-site services for the entire party to get everyone looking and feeling fabulous for the walk down the aisle.

I just ADORE Ellie!!

Ellie is super talented and such a sweet soul. It was hard for me to find a hair vendor that was confident to style my natural hair. Ellie incorporated all my visions for my naturally curly hair, and treated my decision to leave it natural with such respect! I used Ellie for two services since I had an intimate wedding ceremony and then a postponed wedding reception. She was so flexible with all the changes that I had to make due to COVID-19. I am so happy I found a hairstylist for LIFE!! Thank you again, Ellie, for all your love you put into your work and for making me look beautiful on my special days!!

Hire Ellie

Ellie from Braids by Ellie was amazing! She arrived early, running ahead of schedule, which immediately made the morning stress-free. She listened to what I wanted while also bringing her own creative vision, and my hair turned out absolutely beautiful. She was flexible enough to add a bridesmaid last-minute, professional, and very communicative throughout. She even helped me brainstorm how to wear my veil. My hair stayed in place all night, and I got so many compliments. I can’t recommend her enough!

Braided dreams

Ellie was absolutely incredible. She listened to changes from my trial and matched my inspiration photo perfectly. And she is soooo QUICK. My bridesmaids were gorgeous and I felt like a literal princess. She even does amazing with extensions!

Life saver

My original hairstylist canceled on me one week prior to my wedding. Ellie opened her books for me last minute, so willingly, and traveled to me at the crack of dawn to make my wedding hair vision come to life.She was a literal lifesaver & took all of my stress away. My hair was gorgeous & lasted all night- especially considering we got it done at 6am!!!! I seriously was complimented soooo many times about how unique and gorgeous my hair was. Ellie is an angel.

Ellie is so amazingly talented and such a vibe. She goes above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and love your do. Her team is amazing as well, super quick and efficient. Bonus she also owns @weddingwhips so if you want fabulous hair and an amazing get away car look no further you won’t regret it!!!

Ellie is incredible

Ellie and her team are absolutely, hands-down the best and most dedicated hair stylists you could book for your wedding. She is so professional, SO fast (literally did the most amazing braid for me in record time), and does the most beautiful amazing work. Everyone told me a million times I looked like a mermaid at my wedding. She did the boho garden braid of my dreams! HIRE HER you will not be disappointed!!!!

Bridal hair by Ellie!!

Ellie did an amazing job. Ellie arrived earlier then we initially scheduled to get all of my bridesmaids and my hair was done on time for the wedding. Ellie was able to do any hair style we provide to her. She even offers affordable hair trials. She was very friendly, organized, affordable, and AMAZING. I can go on and on.
