Thanks to Bluewater and Zena, my husband and I had an absolutely perfect wedding day! Due to the fact that our wedding was the same weekend as tropical storm Anna, Zena had to come up with several different back up plans in case we got rained out, which luckily didn't happen. All of the vendors she recommended were outstanding! Zena did an amazing job coordinating the day of the wedding and I am so glad she was there! The venue, the southern breeze home, was so gorgeous and we had the best vacation while we were there! Thank you so much Bluewater and Zena for making our special day flawless!

My wedding venue provided the services of Bluewater Weddings and Events due to a big last minute change in plans on their end. Zena and her team ended up providing planning and coordination services and now I'm wondering how we would have pulled off the perfect wedding without them! Zena helped us every step of the last couple months and was there the day of the rehearsal and the wedding to help everything go off without a hitch. I can't say enough good things about Zena-- she's professional but friendly and warm, and just knows everything about weddings in the area. She ended up picking out most if not all of my rentals based on photos I'd shown her and they were wonderful. She also helped figure out a few logistical things that I couldn't quite navigate. Quite honestly we were floored by how great it was to have a wedding planner and coordinator! It even seemed like she was having a nice time at the wedding, even though she was working the whole time. She connected with the wedding party seamlessly. Zena and Bluewater did a fantastic job with our wedding!! Zena was extremely diligent and went beyond the call of duty for us to make our wedding weekend simply perfect. Zena made sure that our three events (reception dinner, wedding and reception, and day after brunch) all went off without a hitch. Whatever bumps in the road did arise were handled by Zena before they became an issue. I would not hesitate in anyway to use Zena’s services and Bluewater properties. I had my wedding at The Islander in Emerald Isle. The location was perfect! We were right on the beach without actually being on the sand of the beach (we didn't want our elderly grandparents to have to treck through the sand). The outdoor area was right outside of our hotel rooms patio doors on a nice grass area with the beach in the background. After the ceremony we went inside for our reception. The reception room was perfect! A nice sized bar with a stage and small dance floor. Our coordinator, Zena from the Bluewater staff, made the day stress free for me. I didn't have to worry about decorations or the cake or anything else. I told her what I wanted and she made sure it got done. All I had to do was sit back and relax and enjoy the day with my new husband. Thank you so much for making my wedding perfect in every way!!

My husband and I moved to Emerald Isle a month before we got married! Zena went above and beyond to help me get the BEST photographer, caterer, event lighting, and DJ! We planned our wedding in less then three months which could of been a stressful nightmare, but Zena was answering my questions even through text messages after hours. On the big day Zena was attentive and took care of all the little details so my family and I could just focus on the wedding and not worry about the logistics. I would recommend working with Zena for any future brides because she is upbeat and will go out of her way to make sure your special day is amazing!

Zena Underwood, our wedding planner, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and kind. My fiancé and I are both from out of town, and extremely busy, so we only had one chance to visit the area while planning the wedding. Because of this, we relied on Zena to refer vendors who would deliver great service. She was so great at listening to our vision of what we wanted for our day and providing us with a list of vendors that met our wants.

Our wedding day could not have went any better. All of our family and friends have commented on how beautiful everything turned out and how great the food was, etc.... Zena and her assistant did an amazing job saving my wedding day. We were hit with a tropical storm and had to relocate the entire wedding. Everything I had planned for our beach wedding at our beautiful rented home had to be moved to The Islander. Zena did an amazing job keeping me calm and informed. She and her team transformed The Islander banquet room into a dream! My husband and I could not have asked for a better planner or a more perfect wedding!

Zena and her assistant Mel did an amazing job. They really made this event EXTRA special. Everything was perfect. We had so much fun with them as well. It was everything I could have hoped for and more. With Zenas help I planned my entire wedding long distance, site unseen and it was absolutely beautiful. 100% satisfaction with these girls.
