We got married at Bluewater in the Sunset room with 24 guests. Planning a wedding in 2020 came with unique challenges, however our wedding was everything we dreamed it to be and more thanks to Hayley and the rest of the staff at Bluewater. Hayley did an amazing job coordinating the details despite all of the hurdles brought on by the pandemic. The managers on duty that day, KJ and Scott, were so accommodating and made sure we were able to have everything just the way we wanted it all day/night. The food was incredible. Everyone was talking about the crab dip and shrimp & grits especially. Our servers, Lou and Carson, were perfect! They were attentive, so genuinely nice, and you could see their smiles from behind their masks which meant a lot to us and our guests. We were having so much fun that we just couldn’t leave, so the servers found an extension cord so we could move our speaker to the balcony and continue the celebration. The small things like that made the night perfect and we are so thankful. If anyone is looking for a space for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception, Bluewater is definitely the place to go. I thought the spectacular view is what I would be raving about after our wedding, but the staff were equally spectacular!

We had a post wedding brunch/meet up here. The staff was very helpful assisting us with bar space outside on the deck so our out of town guests could experience the warm fall weather and the waterfront views. The staff were very nice and patient considering it was a large group.

Hands down the best venue to have your wedding in Wilmington. The staff is friendly, professional and patient. They love what they do. Haley and Megan are the best wedding coordinators. I couldn’t have ask for more. The food was cooked to perfection and their servers, bartender were excellent. Not one complaint. If you want a memorable wedding, have it at Bluewater. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you ladies for all your hard work.

We have always loved Bluewater and it was especially awesome to have our wedding reception there. Our guests loved the views and were impressed by the food- we love their crab stuffed salmon! Hayley and Megan were great coordinators and helped the night run smoothly. The only unforseen incident was with a CO2 canister for draught beer but the staff there accommodated us with a gift card after the fact. All in all, we would highly recommend Bluewater as a space to celebrate with friends and family. Beautiful views. Great service. Excellent food.

This place is absolutely stunning!

Everyone at Bluewater was amazing. They made planning so easy, and our wedding day was perfect. Despite the rain, they made our day great, and we are so grateful for all their hard work.

Advice Id give a anyone trying to give a wedding rehersal dinner of 90 family and friends?First of all before stressing or trying to do it yourself call Bluewater Grill and ask for Erin and Krista.These girls know how to make it come together from the beautiful venu to the scrumpus food.They made time to sit down several times during the planning stages and were always available to answer my calls. They made us feel like family and we had a hard time getting guest to leave! Thank you! Kim and Jimmy Thompson

Bluewater Grill was the perfect venue for our son's large rehearsal dinner. The event planners were responsive and helpful with every request. They were a delight to work with. Our dinner was delicious (filet and shrimp) and we had many compliments about the food. My only complaint was that the salad was not as described and the quality was not comparable to the rest of the meal. They were receptive and seemed to appreciate my "critique"! Our friend, who has planned and decorated for many weddings and rehearsal dinners, told me that she had never had a staff clean up, organize, and pack her materials (vases, candles, urns, linens, etc) as thoroughly and carefully as the staff at Bluewater did. The rehearsal dinner was exactly as we had hoped and we give the staff a lot of the credit!

Bluewater is such a dreamy location on the intracoastal waterway! We had the private room upstairs with a balcony on the water.The food and service were absolutely incredible for our rehearsal dinner. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

We had our rehearsal dinner upstairs at Bluewater and it was wonderful. There were actually 2 other parties going on that night, but they did a great job of making us feel like the only ones. The food and ambiance were great, but was truly stood out was the exceptional service. We didn't have to lift a finger once we arrived; a server was always ready to help and anticipate what we needed. There was a small snafu after we booked our rehearsal dinner - they had accidentally double booked the room we planned to use. They fixed it quickly and flawlessly though and we were so happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend them for an event space.
