If you are thinking about a North Shore wedding, you should absolutely be thinking Bluefin! Jess and all of the Bluefin staff are incredible, the setting on Lake Superior is unbeatable, and our wedding went off without a hitch. I cannot recommend Bluefin enough for your event!! My now-husband and I wanted to keep our wedding small and hold it in a location that held meaning for us. We have been up to the north shore every year as a couple, and once we realized it was possible to get married up there, it was a no brainer for us. We toured several local resorts that boasted wedding venue options. Bluefin was easily the best, and we quickly decided that we would be getting married lake-side. Jess (the event manager) was incredible from the first moment connecting with her to schedule a tour. On the tour, she was so helpful and accommodating, it was easy to picture getting married in their space. Jess and her whole team deserve the highest of praise. I have received so many compliments on the wedding, but by far my guests are pointing out the service we received. The bar and wait staff were INCREDIBLE. Like the best ever. They were so attentive but also laid-back, which was exactly what we needed. The people at Bluefin are second to none. Of course, the setting is hard to beat as well. Many guests have complimented the lake-side ceremony as unique, intimate, and special. Jess and her team had everything set up perfectly for us, and I could not have asked for anything better. Our annual trips up the shore will now include a stop at Bluefin, and I feel very lucky to have such an incredible place be the backdrop for an incredible memory. We could not be happier with our wedding at Bluefin Bay! I highly recommend it to someone who is looking for the beauty of the North Shore, as there are several ceremony sites right on Lake Superior. They were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process, the day passed with ease. For example, it was unexpectedly cold on the day of the wedding and they put blankets out for the guests to use at the ceremony. As for the reception, many guests told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and the value is on point. This it not the place for you if you want a large wedding, the reception room is able to squeeze in 100 people max. The best part is, you get to go to Bluefin to plan the wedding and every year after for your anniversary!

We seriously could not have been happier with Bluefin and Jeremy's help in making our wedding day perfect. Just perfect! Bluefin is such an amazing venue with stunning ceremony sites and reception areas. The atmosphere is such that the party goes on all night long and we heard from so many guests that they had an amazing weekend on the north shore thanks to us choosing that destination.

This venue was absolutely stunning and unforgettable. From the start they filled our lovely lake side hotel room with champagne, Jeremy M was the best person every, asking questions and making sure everything was together. He made the night as smooth as possible. The food, was to die for. The steak was tender and the chicken was moist. There wasnt anyone upset at all over anything. They surprised us and had fireworks for our wedding at the end of the night, and to top it all off gave us a voucher for a free stay at bluefin bay for the future. Hands down my favorite place to be in Minnesota.

Jeremy Mathys, the event coordinator, is excellent. He usually responds to emails within minutes of me sending them. I accidentally left a gift at Surfside and he even mailed it to me!

Judi, the chef, was also wonderful. She created some amazing food. All of our guests were delighted. We really like high quality food, and this was just perfect.

All the other staff people we met were personable and hardworking: the bartender, the servers, the van drivers. You can tell everyone works hard here and makes customer service a priority.

The facilities are just great. We married at the cove, which was small but still fit 100 people. It was gorgeous. Surfside's ballroom is also excellent. We had about 110 people, so the lobby was pretty packed during cocktail hour, but it all worked out.

My daughter was married at Bluefin Bay in Tofte, MN and it was absolutely perfect. The Bride and Groom were married outdoors at "The Cove" which is right on the shores of Lake Superior. The scenery was amazing. Jeremy worked with us to plan the menu and details of the reception at Surfside. He was very responsive during the planning process and allowed us to be creative in planning our Friday night reception for our guests. The Saturday wedding reception area looked beautiful and the staff was very professional. The food was excellent! Our guests loved the venue, atmosphere, food, and overall feel. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!
Jeremy was great! but he is not a wedding "planner" so we did hire Northland Special Events out of Duluth, MN to help with decorating, and organizing our Friday night gathering, signs, etc. The combination of the two services was incredible!

When we met with our vendor, we were feeling very overwhelmed. Shelley made us feel at ease with our decision. She showed us around, gave us some tips and tricks, let us see a wedding getting set up that was happening that day. We talked with Jess and she also had a lot of great things to say. I love this place and would recommend to all!

Beautiful location and ceremony. The rooms were beautiful and we had a great view. Food and drinks were great. Staff was accomodating to us with our needs.
