Brought 8 people to get our hair done the morning of the wedding. They were extremely helpful and timely in getting everyone done!

J. Michael Salon did an incredible job for my large bridal party. There were 11 of us to get ready with my Mom and Aunt. Everyone who came was really friendly and made getting ready for the wedding so relaxing! My stylist did a fantastic job with my hair and make-up. She perfected a style that two other people had not been able to do for me and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! And they were the only salon who didn't charge a much higher fee for my services just because I was getting married! Scheduling with them was super easy and everyone I worked from booking to the day of was fantastic!

I used this salon for my wedding and loved it! Brianna did my hair and make-up for my wedding and three other ladies that work there. Emma, Emily, and Jenna did the hair and make-up of my mom and bridesmaids. Everyone looked gorgeous and especially loved their hair. I looked stunning, Brianna could not have made me look prettier. I did trials with another woman, and my hair fell out within an hour both times and she cost twice as much. This salon is very reasonably priced and my hair stayed in through the whole wedding! That includes a wedding ceremony and pictures on a very windy beach (there was a tornado warning 3 days before our wedding) as well as me dancing and sweating all night. When we got back to the hotel my hair still looked great! Also, I did a trial with Brianna before the wedding which I suggest you do to just to make sure you know what you want on your big day. Brianna is so sweet and professional, as were all of the ladies. They showed up early, set up discretely, and were very efficient. When they left we were ahead of schedule! They are also very nice to chat with and are very relaxed, which is important on your wedding day.

Went here for a bridal trial. Makeup was good. The colors were not exactly what I wanted, but that could've been easily fixed. The girl who did the makeup was professional and friendly. The hair was awful. After four attempts that got progressively worse I had to leave because I was late for another appointment. I left with my hair in a topsytail bun. It was a style I could've done if I was late to work. I had shown the hair stylist pictures, and explained what I wanted. After a couple attempts I even tried to show her how I wanted the front by sweeping the hair with my hands. She took the hair out of my hands without paying attention to me and just started a new attempt. I realize that she could've been having an off day, or we just didn't click, or I wasn't making myself clear. So I communicated to the shop that I was unhappy with the hair portion of the trial. After taking the day off work, paying for the trial (slightly discounted because I was planning to book my wedding day with them) and tipping 20%, the shop said I could schedule another trial and, as if they were doing me a favor, receive the slight discount again. Maybe this is how things work but I was appalled. I would have been more than happy to tip the second stylist for her time, but I felt I should not have to pay the same price for a second trial. I never went back, and did have to pay for a second trial elsewhere (these trials are not cheap!) but the second shop, Propaganda in Hamilton, NJ, did amazing work. I would rather my money go to a small business that is accommodating and friendly instead of a business that doesn't care about customer satisfaction.
