Arlene and her team truly saved my wedding dress! After having a terrible experience at the bridal store that I purchased the dress from in Austin, my mom recommended that i drive to Houston to see if the amazing seamstress that cleaned her own wedding veil and added sleeves to her gown could fix it. Arlene was able to tell what was wrong with my dress just from a few pictures, and when I arrived in Houston she already had a plan! She essentially took the dress apart and rebuilt it in a matter of days since my wedding was only a week away. She also made the most beautiful straps, and provided me with handmade shape-wear to ensure the dress fit perfectly! She also built me a brand new veil and matching combs to choose from to bring the whole look together. To say Arlene saved the day is an understatement! She truly can do it all and is so kind, warm and caring while being a master seamstress! My family and I can not recommend her enough!

I can't say enough good things about Arlene and Beautiful U. She helped me turn my vision of a cape veil into a reality. My veil was not meant to be a cape veil so it required completely restructing the veil. Although she had never done this before with a strapless wedding dress, she was so patient with my vision and ensured it turned out 100% perfect. I couldn't be more grateful for her making my dream into a reality. She also helped with a wrinkle issue in my dress that my bridal shop couldn't be fixed. Amazing!!

Arlene saved the day! After a manufacturer error and a previous tailor’s mistakes, my wedding dress looked bad. Arlene fit me in two weeks before my wedding and completely fixed my dress. She took it apart, brainstormed on how to fix it over five fittings, and now, it looks beautiful. Arlene is an expert in what she does, and she is also the loveliest person. In fact, all the folks who work at Beautiful U are kind, professional, and fun. I drove in from Austin to work with Arlene, and it was the best wedding decision I made. I am immensely grateful to Arlene, and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Arlene and her team did an excellent job altering my grandmother's 1960's wedding dress. I went in 3 times and they widened the bodice and added a few rows to the bottom of the dress. Best of all, it had become yellow and they made it white again! It looked like it was new again.

Also, I did not know what bra or petticoat to wear with the dress and the salon had suggestions and were able to order ones for me (I had read that most places make you come with your undergarments the first times). I tried on different veils and Arlene ended up making me a ballet cut veil. I am really glad we chose Beautiful U.

Arlene and Lee were amazing! They took my all lace ballgown and took it in 2 sizes until it fit perfectly! They even did a last minute adjustment to take the dress in another 1/2 inch the week before the wedding! Very professional and super sweet, they really care and want to make sure you look your best!

WOW!! Words cannot express how truly grateful I am to Arlene and her staff. I had a dress made for me by another seamstress, which was a nightmare. It felt terrible and looked unflattering, but I didn't know what was wrong. I didn't know if I would ever look beautiful in my wedding dress.

When I brought the dress to Arlene and her staff with only a few weeks before my wedding, they took one look and knew how to fix it. They also added custom features to make the dress flattering to my body. They went above and beyond by sewing little lace flowers to fill in the lace in specific areas that I wanted less sheer. All of this for a very fair price. Oh my goodness! They are angels, and I would give them a million stars if I could. On my wedding day, I felt confident, beautiful, and my guests raved about my dress.

I chose Beautiful U to alter my wedding dress based on the reviews I had seen online. I am so glad that I did. They did a fantastic job. I was nervous about the alterations as my dress has a lot of bead work, but I shouldn't have been. My dress fit perfectly and looked beautiful. They had it done very quickly and I couldn't complain about the price even if I wanted to. I highly recommend them, they are true professionals.

I was so nervous about choosing a place to alter my wedding dress - I went to two other tailors for consultations before deciding to go with Beautiful U, and I'm so glad I did. The staff is lovely, and they made sure my dress was exactly how I wanted it. I am very short and so my dress needed a lot of work: nipping the waist, shortening the straps, and hemming. I got a dress with very intricate beadwork, too. It came out PERFECT! I also needed a veil and waited until the last minute to try to get one. They offered to make one for me, and it was just what I needed, for a VERY decent price! You'll be in good hands with Beautiful U.
