Upon entering the main building, you’ll be greeted by a rustic Louisiana interior that features rustic decor and vintage signage. The welcoming atmosphere carries into the event hall where there are soaring high wood beams and windows with natural light. Here, you and up to 380 guests can dine and dance. The hall’s spacious dance floor and interior stage are ideal for your DJ or live music at your reception. Vaulted ceilings and strings of warm lights blend the barn’s rustic atmosphere with the bayou flowing in the background of the event hall. Inside the hall are food-serving areas and main bar for you and your loved ones to enjoy throughout the event. To relax in the warm Louisiana breeze, you can extend your celebration to the attached pavilion and outdoor deck. This covered area offers additional seating for up to 450 guests, with picnic style tables just beside the bayou and an outdoor bar. Beside the pavilion is a wooden walkway, connecting it to the expansive outdoor dance floor an open-concept gazebo, expansive garden areas and an outdoor wedding pergola. Here, you and your partner can say “I do” with Bayou des Familles behind you. When using the venue’s barn and garden spaces in their entirety, you can share your big day with up to 1,200 guests. Throughout the property are plants and wildlife native to the area. You and your guests can also experience animals in their native habitat within the protected waterways of the Bayou des Familles, includng egrets, turtles, fish and occasinally a live alligator swimming in the waterway. In-house catering and bar services are provided by the venue. The culinary team prides themselves on creating menus that showcase high-quality, traditional Cajun and Creole cuisine made from scratch. On your big day, regional classics can be served in the form of a buffet or plated dishes.
