Absolutely the best wedding food I've ever had (but maybe I'm biased). Alan let us come in to do a tasting before our wedding and we tried just about everything they had to offer! He even kept going back to the kitchen so we could try more and more of the appetizers and then didn't charge us for the tasting. Truly amazing service and just a friendly team. We did family style serving and they had a great staff come out the day of and everything kept telling us how yummy everything was! I was sad we didn't have more leftover at the end of the night, but the staff made sure to box up some food early in the night for my hubby and I. Love love love the mac n cheese and the ribeye was so juicy and flavorful! I also heard the bacon wrapped prawns were delicious as an appetizer but I wouldn't know because they were ALL GONE by the time I got to my own wedding!!!! Definitely a good sign :-) I'll be visiting that restaurant again when I'm back in town!

Bate's has amazing food at their local steakhouse and it was just as good at our wedding. Allan, the owner, was wonderful and has a great team behind him. Some catering can be expensive yet you get food which is sub par, that is not the case with Bates. You get delicious food and a great team to back it up. Any bride wanting to use them will be happy with the result.

Bates has a great reputation. They were a little spendy but we still have people telling us how amazing the food was at our wedding. The quality of food was sort of our fault. We sampled the tip roast and loved it, however the day of our wedding the meat was a little to red for us. Their food is rather amazing, we just failed to mention that we would like the meat to be done, not medium rare. The value became overly expensive because they did our alcohol for us. We paid for the beer and whether it was used or not we paid a flat fee and the remainder of the beer went home with Bates. Our wine we purchased and for each cork they popped we were charged an additional $15.00. They are great people to work with and work with you as you need.
