At the last minute, we decided we just couldn't go with the photographer that our wedding planner had recommended. It was the same old stuff as every other wedding album you've seen.

David Bates gets that. His style is unique in the first place. Then he listened to what we were after and made it happen.

We were on a short schedule due to the last minute change but, David took the time to get things planned to our liking.

On the day of the wedding, he was just wonderful. So courteous and professional. He found opportunities for those cameos that are so special that we hadn't imagined!

Plus, we had our wedding albums in time for our trip to see my wife's family in Europe in late January!

I have not found David Bates to be unresponsive in any way. I chose David due to his attention to detail and professionalism. I've loved David's work for the last four years and always knew that he was going to be photographer for our wedding. Our engagement photos turned out amazing and we receive so many compliments on them. My husband and I would highly recommend David to anyone that is looking for a professional with a keen eye for the little details that add up to a wedding day - the look on your fiance's face when he sees you walking down the aisle, the moment of quiet when it is just you and him, and when you are truly happy during that day.

David Bates handled my wedding portraits. I wanted to have my portraits done in Houston even though I was getting married in New Orleans, and I wanted to be extra complicated, so I had two different photographers. I could not have had a better experience than I did with David. We took my portraits at Brennan's, and didn't make that decision until the morning of, which he was so flexible and fine with. He was there early to look at everything and took pictures until he thought he had what we needed. He and his wife also provided the printing and framing for the portrait, which is so beautiful and we continuously get compliments on. If I had gotten married in Houston, I would not have hesitated to use him for EVERY aspect of my wedding photography. He is such a professional, yet kind and relatable, and he takes beautiful pictures.
