Couples and their loved ones can enjoy overnight accommodations in our beautifully appointed Manor House and Carriage House, explore the scenic grounds, and take in the peaceful views of our 2.5-acre pond. Our newly renovated Event Center accommodates up to 250 guests and offers a beautiful, versatile space for receptions, and celebrations year-round.
In 2027, Basil Place will unveil one of Northeast Ohio's only permanent sailcloth tent venues. Overlooking the water and seating up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing, this stunning new space combines the romance of an outdoor wedding with the comfort and convenience of a permanent structure, creating an unforgettable backdrop for your celebration.
Adding to the charm of the estate are our beloved rescued animals—including alpacas, pot-bellied pigs, white peacocks, and chickens—which have become a signature part of the Basil Place experience and delight guests of all ages.
At Basil Place, we believe every wedding should be as unique as the couple celebrating it. From your first tour to your final dance, our team is dedicated to creating a seamless, personalized experience you'll remember for a lifetime.
Facilities & Capacity
Basil Place welcomes up to 250 guests and offers a collection of beautiful event spaces throughout the estate. The elegant 16,000-square-foot Manor House provides luxurious overnight accommodations and serves as the backdrop for romantic outdoor ceremonies and cocktail hours overlooking the estate's scenic grounds. The 4,000-square-foot Carriage House offers a private getting-ready space for the wedding party and can also be enjoyed as a honeymoon suite.
Our newly renovated Event Center creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for unforgettable receptions. Surrounded by rolling pastures, mature trees, two picturesque ponds, and breathtaking sunset views, the estate offers countless locations for stunning wedding portraits.
Beginning in 2027, couples will also have the option to celebrate their reception beneath our permanent sailcloth tent overlooking the water. Seating up to 250 guests for dinner and dancing, this elegant new venue offers the beauty of an outdoor celebration while providing the comfort and permanence of a thoughtfully designed event space.

I also have to mention how absolutely wonderful and above and beyond Michelle and her staff were throughout every step of the wedding process. Michelle truly feels like family to us. She made the process so easy and was so accommodating to all of our requests. She checked on us so many times leading up to and the day of the wedding- we truly felt so taken care of It is so apparent that this is not just a business to her, but truly her passion.
Their preferred caterer, A Taste Of Excellence, was hands-down the best experience with a caterer we've ever had. Mikaela was so kind and flexible, and the food was absolutely to die for we were so impressed with them that we had them cater our welcome dinner as well. They do so many weddings at basil place that they are very familiar with set up and where to go, which makes for that much smoother of a day. All the catering staff were so kind and friendly and added to the positive atmosphere.
In summary, if we could go back in time, we would choose Basil Place 100 times over!!
The best ever!
We got married at Basil Place on May 25, 2024 and it was the most fun day of our lives. We were able to stay overnight at Basil with our wedding party which made it an even better decision. Plus, getting to bring our stuff from home earlier in the week was such a stress reliever.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue…you really can’t go wrong. 🤍
