Barn on the Hill is a rustic wedding venue located in Thornville, Ohio. This working farm features a two-story barn nestled on rolling hills of sweeping landscape, to provide you with picturesque views of the countryside. Couples will be free to enjoy the blend of rustic surroundings and modern amenities, to enjoy their first moments as newlyweds.

Facilities and Capacity

Established in 2017, Barn on the Hill features 35 acres of land for visitors to get creative with. Its barn acts as the main indoor event space, with over 6,000 square feet of floor space to transform into a couple’s nuptial dream. Up to 150 guests can be comfortably seated on the main floor, while the second floor loft gives a birds-eye-view of the ongoing party. The interior features vaulted ceilings, natural wooden walls, and exposed beams for a down-to-earth, bucolic atmosphere. String lights are present throughout the venue space for an added touch of warmth and elegance. High windows are featured throughout the walls to provide plenty of natural light. Connected to the barn is a spacious outdoor patio, where guests can enjoy their cocktail hour to breathtaking views of the countryside. Couples that prefer outdoor celebrations will have an abundance of choice on the farmland. Your wedding arch can be placed alongside the farm’s serene pond, which is surrounded by manicured lawns and lush trees. A bonfire is also present nearby for warm, intimate evenings with your wedding party after your rehearsal dinner.

Tables and chairs will be provided to the soon-to-be-weds, and set up by the onsite team. This farm venue has an open vendor policy, allowing you to select florists, caterers, and other service providers that best suit your needs. Your choice of culinary team will have access to the onsite catering kitchen, while your bartenders can take advantage of the portable bar. Parking is also available on the property, with wheelchair accessibility throughout the premises. Barn on the Hill is open for three seasons, from April until November, to ensure celebrations enjoy the best possible weather.
