Katherine Barcsay is about the “best there is!” She is not only the consummate professional, but is a great storyteller. When she shoots a wedding, she begins with the preparations and chronicles ever part of the process. Her attention to detail through her keen eye is astounding. There is fluidity, which makes for shots that are alive and candid. In her lens, gone are the days of “staged or stayed;” welcome are the days of personal movement.

A friend of ours commented that what was so evident in one of the first shots we received within days after the wedding, was that Katherine had truly captured the love between my husband and I — is there any need to say more? Ah, but I will!

The other thing about Katherine is how hilarious she is. She will literally sing to you as she is snapping a shot, and it will be an on-the-spot ditty of something absurd, which will beyond breaking the ice between subject and lens, will encourage you to react, so your attune yourself to that and not self-consciousness.

She is kind, super talented, super smart, and a completely stunning human being! She has been a part of my family for years as a friend, a chronicler, a confident and we love her immensely. And finally, I will say again, she is the best there is.
