We used Bake for our wedding dessert table and cake. Everything was spectacular and Jen was flexible and easy to work with. We went with seven trays of assorted pastries, each more delicious than the next. We were able to have something gluten-free, something chocolate, something fruity, something crunchy... basically something for everyone. They also made us an incredible, simple one tier Nutella-malt wedding cake. It was SO GOOD. The desserts were the perfect size for the end of the meal and were great to eat in between dancing. Bake was also very affordable and they worked well with my coordinator. They delivered everything and were great with communication.

I used to live very close to Bake, so I was familiar with the quality and taste of their cakes and other baked goods. I did a couple other tastings with more high-end vendors specializing in cakes. I decided to go with Bake, mostly due to the cost and value for the quality and taste of cakes. I ordered a two-tier traditional white cake decorated with sugar flowers for cutting, along with four single-tier side cakes in different flavors. They matched the flowers to my invitation pattern. I ordered for 100 guests, and we had leftovers. Guests were raving about the cakes. Most had tasted multiple flavors. Do not miss the old fashioned chocolate cake and the s'mores cake. The entire experience with Bake, from the tasting to the proposal, to the delivery and product was nothing less than perfect. I would've spent hundreds of dollars more at one of the other cake places I looked at. And, if you want other desserts, Bake has amazing pies, cookies, etc. Bake also did the dessert for my rehearsal dinner.

We did not want a traditional wedding cake, but rather a variety of cakes that our guests would eat and enjoy. Bake Chicago provided those cakes. We had 8 cakes with 4 different flavors. The ones we selected were unique (Nutella) but absolutely delicious. There was hardly any cake left as the guests sampled more than one kind. The value is extraordinary and they could charge much more. If you want something different, this is your place.

Best cake in Chicago is from Bake in Wicker Park! I am not even a sweets fan and I fell in love with their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake. Before, I was just going to have simple cupcakes at the wedding until I tried Bake's cake at a birthday party I attended. It was then that I decided to have a dessert bar. I got 4 different round cakes from Bake and they were all a hit! The chocolate peanut butter, Nutella buttercream with malt cake, Chocolate raspberry, and sea salt caramel with malt cake. Seriously, people were all raving! I would definitely go back there for their cake. Not sure if they do the more formal wedding cakes, but if you want a more non-traditional dessert option, it is always fun to have variety!
