Facilities and Capacity
The featured barn was originally built in 1975, and Azalea Mountain Venue is located on an extensive, family-owned 100-year-old apple orchard that has been passed down through four generations. The farm is powered by solar panels and hydroelectric turbines, making it an ideal choice for couples looking for an eco-friendly venue. The red barn acts as the main event space for indoor celebrations, and features natural wood and stone architecture throughout the interior. Inside also features a classic spiral staircase, which incases a large brewery-style bar for bartenders and caterers to use. Heating and air conditioning are available inside, to ensure visitors feel comfortable during any season. The main barn doors open up to floor-to-ceiling windows and glass French doors, to ensure indoor receptions can enjoy the vision of the manicured grounds. For outdoor ceremonies, bright green fields thrive throughout the grounds, creating a rich setting for people to exchange their vows with up to 210 guests. Beside the barn is a tranquil pond with a floating dock, which is surrounded by lush greenery to create a peaceful atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the view of this pond from the barn patio, during cocktail hours or intimate ceremonies with up to 75 guests. White fences surround the event space, adding a welcoming aesthetic to onsite photo sessions.
A farm manager will be present during your event, to provide any extra help and ensure your day runs smoothly. Azalea Mountain Venue offers wooden barrels, wedding arches, and other country-style decor that can add to your nuptial theme. Various farm equipment has also been placed throughout the premises, to act as themed props as you pose for pictures with your entourage. Tables, chairs, and linens can be provided and set up into any arrangement you prefer. The onsite team can also offer transportation for you and your guests, from shuttle buses to a stylish newlywed departure.

The Azalea Mountain farm has been part of our family for almost 50 years, and it has created some amazingly great memories for 4 generations. This place has an abundance of stories to share!
The barn was designed and built by Richard, with the help of his father in 1974. He is the monarch and center of this beautiful estate. He has devoted his life to making this farm better and more unique than anything else around.
The pond was established to feed the grassy fields and apple orchards and continues to sufficiently provide for our new crops of apples and hay each year. Because of the ingenuity and brilliance of Richard, it also serves as an outlet for the hydro-electric turbine pump that produces the electricity for the farm. The goldfish that reside in the pond are descendants to those placed there by Tim as a gift to Patti (Richard’s daughter) when they first fell in love as teenagers. We can’t help but smile each time we see new goldfish come to the surface to feed.
The apple orchard boasts 100-year-old trees and provide a wealth of family stories each year we harvest. Richard’s grandson’s (Tim and Patti’s grown children) still talk of “the year of the great Pear War”. We have added some more fruit trees to the old orchard area and are excited to hopefully share and continue our harvest traditions with the next generation.
Our family feels blessed to have so many good stories to tell about the making of Azalea Mountain Venue. We hope that we’ve created a great place for others to share beautiful experiences as well. We look forward to providing a place for loving beginnings, beautiful memories, and great stories.
