I hired Averi Blackmon Photography and they went above and beyond my expectations! So many good experiences I'm not sure I can list all the little things they did- Beautiful engagement shoot photos that were professional and that I got back quickly, stunning photos of everything from the getting ready to the family pictures (yes, even those who don't typically photograph well looked good!) to the details to the little moments in between- so many hugs and smiles that were caught on film that I would have completely missed or forgotten about without these pictures. My favorite has to be the one where my new husband dances with my dad and dips him back, surprising dad quite a bit! They captured so many good candid moments, and it's been over a year and I still love all of them. I'd highly recommend this photographer. Other important notes: appropriate cost for services, professional while still keeping it fun and relaxed, able to help wrangle family members for those pesky group photos (more like herding cats), and awesome at what they do.

WOW! I don't even know where to begin with Averi! She was hands down the best decision we made throughout the whole planning process! When I first started planning the wedding in the summer of 2016 the best advice I got was make the most room in your budget for photography. Starting out I really didn't think having pictures were going to be that big of a deal. But I shortly found out I was wrong once she took our engagement pictures and on. Averi is a lot more than just photography, she became a friend throughout the whole process and I think that's where she will stand out from most. Our first wedding gift we received was actually from her, it was a little card about how excited she was to work with us and a framed bible verse. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but when we received it we were overjoyed because it made us feel special and reminded us that we were going to get to spend the rest of our lives with each other. This was one of many special little things she did for us. It has been almost 2 months since we tied the knot and Averi is still going above and beyond to make sure we have each and every memory captured the way we want it from our special day! She also majorly helped us plan our timeline for the day of and really made the whole process go smoothly (she made me feel like we had a wedding planner....which we didn't). Every meeting and email conversation I had with her she was always throwing out ideas to help me plan for the big day. My husband and I are not one to pose for pictures, but she made both of us feel so comfortable and we actually ended up having a lot of fun at every session! I can literally flip through all of the pictures and relive the day like its a movie.....she's THAT GOOD. One of my bridesmaids is actually using her because she made the day go so smoothly and fun and she's even from another state. With all of this being said my husband and I will definitely be using Averi for every future photoshoot we need!

I had heard so many horror stories from my married friends (and any friend who'd been involved with planning a wedding) about photographers who took awful pictures and/or never gave the couple any pics. I was terrified, but then I found Averi... From the first time I sat down with her, I felt completely at ease. She totally understood my vision for the wedding and my love of the more "candid" shots! While my wedding is still a few months out, we did just have our engagement session with her. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND!! She created such a comfortable and fun environment, and y'all, the pictures are gorgeous!! The turn-around time was incredible. I have worked with Averi for Engagement, Christmas, Bridal, and now Wedding. She is absolutely amazing. She did a fantastic job of blending in to the background of the wedding day, which is not something I have experienced being in other weddings that had different photographers. I honestly did not even notice her snapping away during the ceremony & reception and often wondered "did Averi get pictures of that?" but she captured all the great moments and the wonderful details of the day perfectly! There are some wonderful candid pictures she got that are absolutely priceless. Not only me, but several people that weren't even able to attend the wedding have been driven to tears by her beautiful pictures. Her presentation of her work and her customer service always exceed expectations. She puts a real personal touch to her work that I have not seen anywhere else! Her prices are incredibly reasonable, and really a steal when you consider what you are getting with Averi compared to other professionals out there that are the same cost or more.
