About

We offer a wide range of spiritual, cultural, educational and social programming for members of all ages. The highly active congregation of 800 families, together with its inspiring clergy, values Jewish learning, spiritual worship, service to the community and support for the State of Israel. Our beautiful campus contains a magnificent sanctuary, chapel and multiple social halls; a unique Holocaust Memorial designed by Israeli artist Frank Meisler; and “The Tauber Academy,” a state-of-the-art Jewish Early Childhood Education Center. We are a synagogue of strength, security, and stability. The congregation continues to grow and expand while the clergy, staff, and membership constantly strive for improvement and excellence. The mission to foster Jewish life within the City of Aventura is an ongoing challenge. Our synagogue strives to create an open, warm, inviting and inclusive community that gives Jews in Aventura a sense of rootedness and belonging. In a modern era in which Jews often struggle to connect with Judaism and with the Jewish community, the mission of the Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center is now more important than ever.

BEAUTIFUL synagogue! The dome made a gorgeous backdrop for our wedding. We also used the ballroom for the reception and loved it. We used the synagogues in house catering service with Steven and it was nothing short of phenomenal.

As a bride the most important aspects for me was the food and the music because people remember how good or bad the food tastes and how rocking the party was.

Aventura Turnberry was a great place to have a big wedding on a modest budget for a black tie affair. (day affairs that I have been to have been great too!)

The food was WARM, DELICIOUS (as many of my guests volunteered to tell me after the wedding) and Steve, the in-house caterer is willing to be flexible with what you envision.
Working with Steve was a breeze, he grew up in catering with his family and he knows the business well, is up to date on the trends, professional and really cares to make the bride happy. He is so easy to get in touch with via text, phone or email and he is there for most of the affair making sure things run smoothly in the sanctuary and the party room.

I have been to many affairs at this venue and they have always run smoothly as a guest and behind the scenes, Steve has everything under control.

The sanctuary ceiling has been re-done, as well as the seating and bimah. The bimah looks amazing in my photos and video. The party room has new elegant/modern white curtains around the walls so you don't have to pay extra to cover the walls (you can also leave them open if you would like). Steve is well connected with great vendors as he recommended my videographer who was awesome as well!

If you are looking for the best bang for your buck, this is the way to go. In a nutshell I wanted a classy place reminiscent of a hotel ballroom but without the over priced hotel fees. Having a wedding at a temple is special because you are the ONLY party there, at a hotel, you deal with other people who are walking around in bathing suits while your guests are arriving in fancy dresses. If I had to do it again, I would definitely have my wedding this venue!

We held our ceremony at the synagogue at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center and then the reception at the attached ballroom (using the in-house caterer, Events by Premier, which is also awesome and reviewed in a separate review). This venue is just gorgeous. The synagogue is modern, clean, and very well-kept. The ballroom is prettier than all of the hotels we viewed. My husband fell in love with ATJC as soon as we walked in the doors.

Even better than the appearance of ATJC is the way the staff operates. They are so professional, responsive , and warm. We were so happy we booked this venue and I highly recommend it to all Jewish couples!
We're all about trust. Our community relies on honest reviews to help you make those big decisions with ease.
