When browsing for DJs for our wedding I was focused on two things: a DJ who could get people dancing for the whole reception and good value for the money. Scott came out on top and he exceeded every hope. He was very communicative through the planning process and made sure he understood the timeline and requests plus his rate was fair and for the entire event rather than one price to start then another when the hours you actually need are added. The wedding itself is where he really shined and I'd be doing the awesome service he provided us a disservice by not acknowledging how pivotal he was to making our wedding not just the best night of our lives but also the most fun. The technical aspects such as light, sound quality, and mics were all fantastic top notch professional equipment but the man behind it all was the driving force. We made a few specific requests but did not micromanaged and just asked him to get our friends on the dance floor the best he could; he's the professional after all. From the very first song to the last dance Scott kept everyone in the crowd engaged with a wide variety of great music. I'm not exaggerating when I say there wasn't a single moment when the floor was empty. He perfectly chained songs together for 4 hours to make our wedding the dance party we wanted. I can't say enough about his skills and will be forever grateful we picked him for our wedding. Aside from the best song selection he's also personable, great at sticking to your timeline/MCing, and a ton of fun. Hiring Avalanche was some of the best money I've ever spent in my life, not just my wedding. I can't emphasize enough how all around great the experience was and hope everyone who reads this will consider him. I've heaped a lot of praise into this review but the last thing I want to add is my new wife I are brainstorming excuses for a party to hire him again. Do yourself and your guests a favor and hire Avalanche!

Scott was amazing to work with! He puts a lot of care into providing the best experience that he can for all couples. Not only was he very responsive, but his attention to detail in regards to timelines and music preferences is amazing. Scott did everything he could to make sure that his part in our wedding was as stress-free and seamless as possible. There was never a time when we were worried that he wasn't going to hold up his deal of the contract with great quality!

DJ Scott Ely was so worth it! He had one of the most competitive prices for the services he offered. We enjoyed his DJ and dance floor lights package and his MirrorMe photo booth. Neither disappointed! We danced the night away - even Granny boogied. The dance floor stayed packed and everyone loved the photo booth! Karen kept the photo booth running smoothly and she even helped me untangle a prop scarf from my suit. DJ Scott worked well with the other vendors, such as the photographer and videographer, to adjust his lighting. Julia and I would whole heartedly recommend DJ Scott at Avalanche Sound & Lights for anyone's Big Day!

Scott went above and beyond for us on our day. He even turned around to grab the song we had switched last minute for our wedding! He was absolutely amazing and had our guests on the dance floor the entire evening!

Scott Ely was highly recommended to me for my daughters wedding. I am so happy we booked him. He was always very responsive and organized throughout the planning process. He sent a form for is to complete that was thorough and allowed him to obtain all the necessary info. He then met with them fo discuss all aspects of music for ceremony and reception. He knew exactly what they wanted and the vibe they were going for and made it happen! He was great and reading the crowd and making sure everyone had a great time. I’m am in shock and awe by the professionalism and kindness. We had the DJ set up (it had all the lights, bells, & whistles) and the state of the art photo booth. The images were customizable and so clear! Not your average Photo Booth standards!! The duo that ran both were SO friendly, helpful, & fun. They accommodated every request at DJ booth and had more than enough props at Photo Booth to keep our group laughing and engaged. They came and set up on time, never got in the way or caused issue, and even helped us with our last minute decorations. Book them! I PROMISE everyone at your event will have a blast!

We would highly recommend Scott as your DJ! He communicates well and is highly professional. We felt he knew exactly what our needs and wants were to make our wedding absolutely perfect! If we could give him more than 5 stars, we would! He did an amazing job from wedding ceremony to the reception! Scott was phenomenal he went above and beyond meeting with us probably way more times than necessary lol. Scott really did a great job from planning and all of our changes to rehearsal and helping us fix things we would not have realized were broke to the wedding day where he turned the dance floor into a real party I truly recommend him for your special day.
