We had our reception at the International Banquet Conference Center on the 8th floor of the Atheneum Suite Hotel. Sophie and her team were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. From the moment we booked to the day after our wedding, Sophie and her team were on top of everything.She made the process so easy and helped with every thing she could to make our day perfect. She even let us store our cake because our cake baker had an emergency! She continued to go above and beyond in every aspect. In the weeks after our wedding we keep getting compliments from our guests about how AMAZING and DELICIOUS our food was and how great the service was. Everything was just perfect.

The Atheneum made our reception an absolute dream come true. I worked with Sophie, and her expertise was evident. She returned emails and calls promptly, and on weekends. Everything we asked for was supplied, including our cake. The service was first class and the food was 5 star. I highly recommend!!!

Absolutely Fantastic- our wedding was awesome! Sophie is phenomenal, so friendly and I loved her from the moment I first talked to her on the phone. She helped with EVERYTHING and answered calls and emails at all hours of the day and night. I would send an email when it popped in my head and not expect to hear back until the next day and sure enough, she would respond. I'm talking midnight (when nobody should respond)! I wasn't a Bridezilla by any means but each time I needed her, she was ON IT. Derrick was awesome also- so friendly, so helpful and just a gem. Loved him!

We had our rehearsal dinner in The A Bar right off the lobby and everyone was fantastic. We had the food catered from Fishbones- it was SO good.

We had our "First Look" on the roof of the hotel which had the entire view of the city. It was fantastic. My veil actually flew off of my head, over the side of the hotel and landed on a street light below.... alas, it was rescued. :)

We had our ceremony and reception in The Grand Ballroom with approximately 260 guests. We opted for a strolling dinner and it was fantastic. We wanted more of a party feel where our guests would mingle and let loose so we had an open bar prior to the ceremony that went all the way through until midnight. Highly recommend this. The guests both young (21+) and old thought it was so cool to have a cocktail while we got married. Everyone literally raved about it. We also had the dessert table that was included in our package and saying "dessert table" just doesn't do it justice. It was amazing. I was actually in awe when I saw it and would be happy to share photos!

We had over 60 people book rooms at the hotel and the rooms are all suites. Everyone loved them and it made it a true wedding weekend. Not to mention that the Tigers/Wings/Lions all played that weekend (9/26/2015). The city was alive and electric! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and hotel! :) Best Day Ever!

The Atheneum is absolutely beautiful, the food is wonderful and the staff is such a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend this locations to others planning a wedding.

This venue has it all. The food, the drinks, the dance floor, and the beautiful view of the city!
