Our event was the celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary and included a renewal of vows lead by Dan (who, by the way, did an amazing job with just a little input from us!). During the vows, which were by our request the old-fashioned "for better, for worse" version, Dan asked that any of the couples who wished to participate in the renewal vows could say them along with us. This was a surprise to us but make it the most special part of the service for us. All of our children and their spouses, our granddaughters, my husband's brother and his wife, and our granddog, Lucy, were present along with the other ranch guests and wranglers (at our request). We had a delicious supper following our vows (once everyone had dried the tears away!) and that was followed by the most beautiful and equally super delicious two tier chocolate with white frosting wedding cake covered with wild flowers, lace and ribbon topped by our original cake topper. Courtney baked our cake and decorated it, all with her own vision of what it should look like after getting to know us during our week there, and it could not have been more beautiful. It was a lovely surprise and the best dessert of the week! We wanted to take it our room and devour the rest of it all by ourselves but decided it should be shared! Courtney took care of all the dinner arrangements and did an amazing job with the table favors and decorations that we brought for the occasion. Everyone made the evening go perfectly! It couldn't have been better and it will live in our memories as one of the most special moments of our lives. Ellen and Dan are outstanding folks and were so very helpful with all the arrangements and helping us pull this off as a surprise for our family.

Congratulations to Dan and Ellen on the completion of the Aspen Grove facilities! Patti and I chose Sundance Trail Ranch for our May, 2015 wedding — our seventh annual visit to the ranch. I guess you could say that we're regulars. We were engaged and later married at Flat Rock overlook with Dan officiating. We chose this venue simply because it's one of our favorite places on earth; peaceful, casual, friendly, beautiful and lots of horses! We were able to have our adult children and their partners ride up the mountain for the ceremony — everyone felt welcomed, relaxed and left happy. The staff is always at their best and will do what it takes to make it all happen. We were after a simple and beautiful outdoor wedding and it was all we could ask for. Thanks to everyone at Aspen Grove.

I have been working with Aspen Grove for over a year preparing for my wedding and they have been accommodating at every turn. Amanda who is the current coordinator has been an absolute blast to work with. She is as responsive as can be given their location and lack of overall cell reception and helpful in making sure that everything is taken care of. The venue is absolutely stunning with plenty of photograph locations. With us paying for our own wedding on a limited budget, the price point was fantastic and includes a lot of things that made planning for the wedding even easier. WIldflower centerpieces, beautiful picnic tables and a handcrafted arch gave us the perfect simplistic, country rustic wedding my husband and I were looking for. I would highly recommend Amanda and Aspen Grove for anyone looking for a beautiful Colorado Mountain wedding.
