Al Mesa Music is a Texas-based live entertainment and music production company delivering professional, high-energy performances for weddings, private events, festivals, public venues, and special occasions across Texas, the United States, and internationally. Led by guitarist, vocalist, and singer-songwriter Alfred D. Mesa (“Al”), the company also operates Golden Mesa Music Recording Studio and features two premier live acts: Tejas Prickly Pair and Dave & Al Music.

Known for authentic performances “just like the original,” Al Mesa Music specializes in Rock, Country, Blues, R&B, Soul, Reggae, and Latin-influenced music, combining crowd-favorite classics with original material. Their extensive catalog spans decades of music and includes original productions currently featured on local radio, university productions, promotional broadcasts, public service announcements, and television commercials, including appearances on KZSM FM and Texas State University productions.

Tejas Prickly Pair unites Al Mesa and Tyson Friar, longtime friends and former U.S. Army brothers-in-arms who met while serving in Jordan. Tyson, a former U.S. Army Band guitar soloist, joins Al to deliver powerful live performances backed by decades of combined musical experience.

Dave & Al Music is a lifelong musical collaboration rooted in Corpus Christi and the Texas Gulf Coast. Performing together since the 1980s, the duo brings seasoned musicianship, charisma, and extensive nationwide touring experience to weddings, breweries, festivals, corporate events, and live music venues throughout Texas and beyond. Dave’s world-class guitar work remains a driving force behind the Al Mesa Music original catalog.
