First, I will say Mrs. Wilcox is a really nice lady. Unfortunately that’s not enough when running a business. This was a minimony by design (COVID), and we wanted to be responsible. I shared a few details of what I wanted in our first conversation (saying vows at 2:12pm ... a story behind this; sand ceremony on the beach; wedding song identified). I liked the script she provided, and prior to the day, I was happy she was taking the time to work out the concerns with sound and wind distortion.
Fast forward to the day, my groom arrived almost an hour before me. I arrived about 15 minutes before everything was to start, just to learn that the didn’t arrive yet. Thankfully there was no setup for them to do... I asked a friend to do that. I called to find out what was happening to find out they were lost. My thought was... why was there no research done if you weren’t certain of where to go? When they arrived, they hurried to the beach and I the boardwalk. After approximately 10 minutes, her partner asks me what my song was and couldn’t find it!!! After some time, he found it and my daughter walked out before me. As the music played for about five seconds, somehow he switched songs and couldn’t find my wedding song. Annoyed, I asked him to cut it off. I get to the beach, and she apologized, clearly upset this happened. The icing on this cake was the microphone which had such a terrible echo!!!!! The entire ceremony!!! No one could hear anything on zoom or surrounding us... but at least my husband was too busy being infatuated with me to care. I will say, the sand ceremony was beautiful and she was timely in submitting my documents to be recorded. Her partner is the reason she has a less than glowing review. Not to mention, his lack of awareness had him walking back and forth in-front of the zoom camera.... If she must work with him, add some time to the schedule for a walk through with her team to include music and sound.
