Absolute Events & Entertainment was fabulous! All of our guests loved the Photobooth, Videographer was very nice and prfoessional, and Chris totally rocked our reception. Our guests are still talking about our wedding!!!

Chris Atwood and Absolute Events were by far the BEST vendor we worked with for our wedding. They are real people and understand how best to make your event the party you want it to be. We are still receiving compliments on what a great party we had, indicating that the dance floor was never empty - even during dinner and complete with a sing off of Paradise by the Dashboard Lights! Absolute Events deserves TEN stars! My husband and I had Christopher Atwood and Absolute Events provide the music (DJ/emcee) and lighting at our wedding in May 2012.

When my husband and I talked about entertainment for our wedding, we had a short but non-negotiable list of demands:
1. Everyone has a good time
2. High-energy
3. DJ
4. Reasonable price

Long story short? Absolute Events fulfilled every single one of these criteria and SO much more!

Because my husband and I were living in different time zones before we got married, Chris went out of his way to arrange mutually convenient times to arrange conference calls to go over every detail possible to make our wedding day spectacular. He listened patiently and carefully to our needs and ideas and offered helpful suggestions for the music and timing of each step of the ceremony and reception. He was easily accessible by both phone and email, and was clear and thorough in his answers to all of our questions.

Absolute Events gave us exactly what we were looking for -
polished professionals we could work with painlessly and trust completely to deliver an outstanding experience. There was great energy throughout our ceremony and reception, and the response from our guests was overwhelmingly and unanimously positive. Months later, our friends and family are still telling us how "well done" our wedding was.

Chris Atwood and Steve Pierre were truly phenomenal and made our wedding reception one to remember. With only two weeks to prepare (our previous DJ cancelled on us at the last minute), they pulled the reception together without a hitch and we still hear rave reviews about it. Chris ensured a smooth flow of events for the night, and he gave an awesome introduction for the bridal party. We did not have to worry about what came next, or the timing. Everything was on point. One of the things we were concerned about was that our families wouldn't dance and the floor would be empty. But it was packed the entire night!
Steve also did an amazing job. We specifically wanted someone who could cater to a largely Trinidadian/Jamaican crowd and also play popular music from the 70s, 80s and today. We were nothing short of impressed by their selection of music and willingness to work with our needs and specific requests.
At the end of the day, we had a wonderful celebration, and everyone, old and young, had a spectacular time. I would recommend these guys any day. They are very professional, organized, experienced and flexible. You won't have to worry about a thing.

If we could give Chris Atwood 6 stars, we would! He went WAY above and beyond to make our wedding special, fun, and exciting. We had so many compliments about the DJ and how he got everyone on the dance floor! He is so amazing at accommodating every single desire you have for your wedding, but can also be completely trusted to do his own thing and know exactly what your party needs. If you want a unforgettable, energtic, fun wedding you must meet with Chris Atwood of Absolute Events! We got soooo many compliments of what an amazing job he did. Our guests said this was the best wedding they were ever at! The night went tooo quick because of all the fun. You must must get the blacklight package, i've NEVER seen so many people on a dance floor at a party in my life! He really turned the place out! One complaint is your feet will hurt by the end of the night, but trust me, the pain is so worth it!!!! Chris is so easy to work with and down to earth. Some DJ's can carry a bit of an ego but not here, I felt like we were old friends from the first time we met! Thank you again for making our wedding the best day not only for us, but for our guests also!

I also booked John Argueta for photography through Absolute Events....what a professional! I've been in a few weddings and the photographer had no direction and no voice. Not the case here, John was an absolute professional and guided me through the entire day. I saw some of the pre-edited pictures and I cannot wait to see the rest, OMG! For the rest of my life, when I need a photographer I will be calling John. His work is above the rest and he is down to earth easy going person! Such a pleasure to work with, thank you being part of our day and providing us with some of the best memories of our life!

"BEST WEDDING WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO" is what we keep hearing and we have to thank Absolute events for that. From day one we knew they would deliver and boy did they ever. We had a Dominican/Italian wedding and finding a DJ who could entertain both sides was not easy. Rich Kenny did an outstanding job with translating and introductions and Chris Atwood knew exactly what to play the whole night. They catered to everyone in our diverse crowd and the dancefloor was packed the whole night! Some of our family and friends who never dance were on the dancefloor the whole night!! That says it all. I hired Absolute event services for my wedding. They were excellent to work with. Chris was great to work with. All my guests loved the music. It was mainly an older crowd but, Rich got them up dancing. I would use there services again. Thanks for everything Guys!!

Chris Atwood, Rich Kenny, and Anthony at Absolute Events are THE BEST! Our guests haven’t been able to stop talking about our DJ company and what an awesome party they put together for us. I can’t even tell you how many people came up to us throughout the night to say that of all the weddings they have been to, ours is the one that they’ll always remember because of how great the food was and how awesome the party was! In fact, I know of at least three people who asked for their contact information at the end of our reception. We originally had a deposit with another DJ but I began to get a weird feeling about them about 4 months out from our wedding and convinced my husband that there was no harm in at least looking for another DJ. We needed a DJ who could effectively do an American and Latino wedding with some Greek songs in there as well and prior to hiring our first DJ we realized that a lot of DJs in the area don’t really understand what good Spanish music is and that there’s a difference depending on what country you’re from. We happened to be on YouTube and found videos of some really awesome weddings – some of which had great Spanish music played during them – and they all turned out to be from Absolute Events. We contacted Chris who got back to us right away and he said that he had our date available. As soon as we met with him we knew that he was EXACTLY what we were looking for! He has such an awesome personality and what sealed the deal for us was that he clearly loves what he does and he really knows what he’s doing and adapts to his crowds. We told him right off the bat that we didn’t want a DJ or MC who was over the top and constantly barking into the microphone but we did want some sort of interaction because at a lot of weddings we’ve gone to (even the ones with good music) there seemed to be a disconnect between the DJ and the guests and as a guest you can sense it. On top of that, he had a challenge ahead of him because we had a really mixed crowd in terms of age, race, and culture. Chris and his team NAILED IT! They did the ceremony music for us and it was seamless, the cocktail hour was exactly the type of music we asked for (we wanted songs that weren’t too slow/boring and that would start getting people into party mode without them actually dancing), and the reception was just one hell of a party! The dance floor was PACKED the entire night, the Spanish and American guests were dancing to Greek music, the Greeks and Americans were dancing to Spanish music, everyone was dancing to the American music and it was just the perfect blending of cultures and generations! We honestly don’t know how the party turned out as amazing as it did… we had high hopes, but we NEVER in a million years expected it to be so great and for everyone to still be talking about it weeks later! Everything from the music Rich played to the way Chris did the introductions to the way he handled the garter toss to the last song of the night had everyone out of their seats and having a good time… even our other vendors were getting into it and having a good time because you just couldn’t help but enjoy yourself! I’ve never seen Absolute Events mentioned on this board before, but they definitely should be and we (and apparently some of our friends and family) will be using them again in the future!

Absolute Events provided both music and lighting for my April 30th wedding. I cannot say enough about Rich Kenny and Chris Atwood. Chris was my first contact at the company, and he was incredibly responsive and professional at all times. Rich was the MC at my wedding and everything ran perfectly smoothly. He followed ALL of my guidelines, and played perfectly to our crowd. We received so many compliments, and even though our wedding was small at 100 guests, there were always people on the dance floor. If a song wasn't getting a great reaction from our guests he seamlessly transitioned to something else. He didn't grandstand or self-promote like I've seen at other weddings. He was all class, and the consummate professional. The lighting was gorgeous, it is well worth the money to add this on to your package. I would highly recommend Absolutel Events to host your wedding.
