Abel shot our wedding in 2018 on the O'Neill Catamaran in Santa Cruz, CA. The results were fantastic despite the challenging venue. We felt that the great outcome stemmed from Abel's relaxed and enthusiastic attitude. He's also quite personable which helped put us at ease for both the posed and candid shots. We married at the mission at Santa Clara University. Abel has shot there before, so he knew the best times, locations and angles to get the best photos.

The quality of his photos is outstanding. Everything is in focus, the composition is memorable, and his timing is impeccable. The church doesn’t allow flash, which makes the quality of his photos even more impressive.

Abel is very amiable and personable; it felt like he was one of our friends that we invited. He was pleasant with all the staff and guests. He always had a smile and a joke which made guests feel at ease.

We met with Abel three days before the wedding for a quick lesson on how to pose properly and to gameplan where we would take photos, the sequence they would be taken, etc. The posing lesson was invaluable (and easy). He also taught us some shorthand communication so that on the day of the wedding, he could simply make a discreet gesture and I immediately knew to tug my jacket down to get rid of the wrinkles. Smart!

He also acted as a bit of a coach. There is a lot of action happening on the wedding day, and it’s easy to be overwhelmed, but Abel knew when to jump in and remind me to do something or advise us on what he’s seen done at other weddings. His experience contributed greatly to making our special day feel effortless and look seamless. My wife and I highly recommend him!

Abel was an amazing photographer to work with! He made sure that we were 100% prepared for our wedding! He met with us several times before the wedding to pick locations to take pictures, and to check the lighting. He also sent us an amazing schedule to help ensure that the entire day went smoothly! He also worked really well with all of our other vendors! We could not of dreamed of a better wedding photographer! Hiring Abel was the best decision we made for our wedding!

Abel is an amazing photographer! My friend referred me to him. I am so glad she did! He is very knowledgeable in his work. He is reasonably priced compared to many of the other photographers we looked at. It was great to work with him from beginning to end. He helped me stay organized and on top of everything. It helped that he had done wedding photos at our venue freedom hall and gardens before. He look some great shots of us! I loved his photo technique. He even stayed over the time he was scheduled for to ensure he got all the photos we wanted. I loved that we were able to get wedding albums as well to share with our family. He took his time to go over each photo with me to put into our album and was able to make edits needed. It was challenging to pick 50 photos out of the many he took, however he was very patient while waiting for us to do so. He even gave us a beautiful picture to hang up on our wall. Hiring Abel was the greatest choice we made that day (besides getting married lol). Abel is a gentleman, an artist, and an exceptional photographer. We found his work online and were immediately captivated by it. When my wife and I met Abel at his house, we were so delighted to meet him, as he was truly a wonderful human being, as well as a gifted photographer. His work truly speaks for itself, but I think it's important to state that he is a genuine person as well. We had a great photoshoot at Vasona. Abel took us to all of his "favorite spots", where we took shots, and even took a few impromptu shots along the way, when inspiration struck. Thanks to him, our day was captivated perfectly. We met Abel at the Campbell wedding expo that Trudy's brides throws every year. The initial interaction was definitely what we were looking for. We met a few weeks after the event to review and go over his type of work. He was absolutely professional and very funny, we knew he was the perfect person we wanted to capture our special day.
The day of our event he was there on time and stayed for the entire event!
He went above and beyond to make sure that he made that day extra special for us, and as stress free as possible. Our event consisted of more than 600 guest and yet he managed to capture as many of our guest as possible.
We received a preview of our wedding pictures a few weeks ago and we are beyond happy with his work. They are definitely images that we are going to treasure for the rest of our lives!

Abel is fantastic. He shot our wedding in early July, and we couldn't be happier. He's extremely friendly, and more importantly, asked a lot of questions and took the time to understand what we wanted before the wedding. We did a shoot beforehand to figure out what style and angles we liked best, and when we got our final shots, all of that feedback was incorporated perfectly.

In terms of professionalism, we hardly knew he was there during the wedding (in a good way). When we looked at the shots afterwards, we found ourselves saying several times, "wow, I don't remember him being in position to get that shot!" He was available whenever we wanted to get a particular picture, but otherwise blended in nicely with the crowd. He responds quickly to email, and we never felt any pressure to buy a particular photo package or felt like we were being upsold.

Perhaps the biggest compliment we can give is that after the wedding was over, we had three different guests come up to us and say, "Wasn't that Abel who was your photographer? We had him do ours too!" When people recognize and remember how awesome their photographer was years later, they must be doing something right. We couldn't recommend him highly enough, and hope you check him out for your big event.

I recommend Abel to everyone that says they're getting married! He helped make my daughter's wedding a very special day, and the moments that he captured and the recommendations for making funny and more entertaining pictures were absolutely amazing. Abel really knows what he's doing, and I'm so glad we chose him. My daughter and my son-in-law really appreciated his enthusiasm and his funny way of making everyone smile that much more. He was great and I recommend him to all.

Abel did a wonderful job at my daughter’s wedding in September. Based on Abel’s website and his description of how he approached wedding photography, he made it to the finalist list. We went to meet him to discuss his approach in person, and to look at extensive examples of his work. His prices were also extremely reasonable, so we signed up with him.

We’re glad we did! He did a lovely job in every respect.

To begin with, he was willing to work with us to ensure a great outcome within the fairly tight timelines of a wedding day. For instance, for a nominal additional amount, he attended the rehearsal and spent time with the bride and groom to check out good photo locations.

The bridal couple wanted the First Look as well as the immediate family photos before the ceremony. On the day he arrived promptly, setup quickly, and was extremely efficient getting all the pre-ceremony photos done even though the bridal party arrived at the venue 30 min later than scheduled.

His photos of the ceremony are just lovely, and he made it all happen in a very unobtrusive way. We really disliked the idea of having a photographer bobbing around the couple during the ceremony – we really wanted the ceremony and its importance to be the focal point – Abel got gorgeous photos while stationed unobtrusively at the back.

At the reception, he got lovely candids of all the guests and captured the spirit of the toasts, the first dance, the cake cutting, and the general ambience again without being at all obtrusive or taking away from people actually experiencing and enjoying the event.

His prices, both for his time and for the retouched photos, are exceptionally reasonable, and his packages include all the digital copies of the photos.

We are VERY happy with Abel’s services as a wedding photographer, and would recommend him to anyone with confidence.

Having the perfect person to capture our special day was key to us! When we met Abel, we knew right then that he would be the person whom we wanted to create a story with the pictures he would take. From the beginning he was very personable and charismatic, he made us feel comfortable and we were able to be ourselves. We did an engagement session and not only were we happy with the shots he had taken, we also had a lot of fun! Before our wedding, we met to go over details and to ensure we were on the same page regarding what we wanted to be captured. This made us feel at ease because we knew he would not miss any special moment. The day of our wedding, he was very prompt, professional, and engaging with our family. The pictures he captured were exactly what we had envisioned, a story of what had happened on our special day and all in a very natural way. The images were countless and therefore our decision on what pictures we wanted for our album was very difficult (which is a good thing). We are also very pleased with the layout of our album because it is different and allows us to go back once in a while and reminisce on our special day!

Abel has become what I like to call “our personal photographer” because he has captured all of the important events of our lives thus far, our engagement, the wedding day, two pregnancies, and a super fun family session!
