About
The best word I can use to describe the venue is "unique". It is an industrial-inspired creation as a nod to its origins, as a mechanic shop operation for the sawmill. Fast forward ten years and a vision for the renovation of this diamond in the rough, a total overhaul and A Venue for You came to fruition. Located in Prescott, Arkansas alongside a rail spur, this 5800 sq. ft. event center is great for weddings, proms, class reunions, family gatherings, sweet 16 parties, and corporate meetings. Many of the industrial elements were incorporated into the renovation projects making this venue one of a kind.
Upon entering the front porch, two WWII bomb shells signal with torch flames when an event is happening. A vintage bicycle built for two serves as the logo for the business and is a great photo opportunity for a couple booking the venue. We use this logo, and they will say, "I Do", at A Venue for You to announce on our Facebook page and website.
Upon entering, the iconic railroad luggage wagon greets you with a throwback to times of travel by rail. It displays pics, memorabilia, signs, or an event theme. Overhead there is a gantry that was used to hoist motors from one bay to another for repair. It runs the width of the building. A local artist designed the chandelier of wood gears, pipe, and Edison bulbs --- thus this steampunk feature was mounted to the gantry, and it is a showstopper!
On the far end of the building, a beautiful gas fireplace adorns the wall with whitewashed rock, a focal point for a wedding ceremony. A live edge wood mantel sits atop the rock fireplace and a cathedral piece is mounted on the wall above the mantel. One of the rocks in the bundle was in the shape of Arkansas, so it was strategically placed front and center of the fireplace.
A grand staircase with a balcony inside and outside makes for a dramatic entrance for any event. The magical presentation of a bride descending the staircase is an exceptional wedding experience. The inside balcony provides a place for the couple to take a little time to catch their breath and have a sip of champagne before making their entrance for the reception. The outside balcony is great for throwing the bouquet, photo ops, and capturing some special moments from this vantage point.
The bridal suite is "sweet"! A gas fireplace gives a cozy element for the bridal party. An oversized swing hangs on the wall opposite the fireplace. A porthole window allows for the couple to have a photo moment of holding hands before the wedding while maintaining the moment of revelation for the wedding.
The groom's quarters named the Groom's Saloon is decorated in a western theme. There is a 75" TV, electric fireplace, recliners, mini-kitchen, front porch with gas firepit, and lots of room for Razorback baggo. The Groom's Saloon has a large shower and dressing area. The latest addition of a bedroom with king size bed, TV, breakfast table, and closet, can be rented for an overnight stay. A beautiful gazebo platform for outdoor wedding option is complete with a chandelier in the dome top. This area has new sod, a black fence, and a swing that can be attached under the gazebo for bridal photos. A Venue for You is unique and literally, "off the rails".
