The team went above and beyond! They worked with all the constraints of the day with such ease. They made sure we didn't feel rushed. They were super professional and cordial. They were super open about their pricing and what they were about. Their packages are impeccable and if you wanted something changed, they were willing to work with you and get you what you wanted. We had the pleasure of working with A Play of Light for our wedding in September 2023 (Chinese Tea Ceremony and Western Wedding), and we cannot express enough how grateful and thrilled we are with the service, photographs, and videos they provided. Since the wedding, we still continuously look back at the photos and videos. ESPECIALLY the videos! Since we were able to easily share it on social media, it's always nice to easily reminisce and bring it back up. Our family and friends loved the videos, we got so many compliments, even saying it's like having our very own music video ^_^ ❤️ We were definitely hesitant prior to getting any packages, because (1) The price was more than what we allocated for (2) There were some couples that mentioned they didn't think wedding videos were necessary because they barely look back at it or have only seen it once since their wedding. But after much thought, knowing that I'm very nostalgic, the type that loves taking pictures of everything and recording certain events, we decided to get both photos and videos for the wedding. Our logic was that if we are paying and putting in so much effort for the wedding already, might as well not cheap out on our only avenue of capturing the moment for our future selves to look back on.

Their professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail was evident from the start, and their passion for photography/videography shone through until the very end. We were running late at some point and Toan and the team worked with our coordinator to adjust and were flexible/adapted to the day, weather, etc. to ensure maximized quality of their products for us to have forever. 🙂

Outside of their great skills as a team of shooters, they were also very responsive and prepared with all communications and graciously answered all the questions we bombarded them with. Such as sending us a list of vendor recommendations, which led us to our wedding DJ whom was phenomenal! We highly recommend going with A Play of Light for all your photography and/or videography needs!!! Their team is so easy to work with and they have a great community of professionals!

We had a fantastic experience working with Tommy and his team, from our engagement session to the big day of including the photobooth. APOL was very responsive, helpful, and accommodating! Tommy helped calm my husband's nerves when shooting and made us feel very comfortable. He also provided a lot of great options for the photobooth. We're happy with how the photos came out and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding photographer!

I had a wonderful experience working with Tommy and his team. We hired A Play of Light to handle our engagement photos along with our wedding videography, photography and photo booth. From the beginning they had been responsive and eager to make my day great from showing up hours early to take photos of venue and the getting ready process to staying past the designated end time to get our last dance. I never felt like any part of the event got missed. Their level of professionalism and expertise was evident in the final products of the photos and videos which will last a lifetime and I would highly recommend working with them!

The service they provide is not cookie cutter and is custom to each couple or family. It was nice to have a flexible vendor who was willing to do whatever was best for us in terms of time and wants. I didn't feel rushed and I didn't feel limited in what I could ask for or that my pictures were being counted. They were all great in terms of making everyone comfortable and having attention to detail down to your hair, hands in your pockets, which buttons should be buttoned, etc. I also feel like I got a great deal in terms of service and price when compared to other photographers, videographers, and photo booths.

Tommy from A Play of Light was amazing to work with on documenting and recording our proposal and the events after. He created a highlight video for us and brought all the emotions of such a special day to life. He captured our best moments from that day and really reflected our personalities in the finished product. Not only is he talented, his enthusiasm and commitment to delivering the best video of our love story was exceptional. I would recommend Tommy from A Play of Light over and over again!

I had a friend refer Tommy and his team to me. Tommy is extremely easy to work with and super responsive. I hired Tommy's team for the photobooth and Tommy as my videographer for my wedding day. Tommy was punctual and super awesome to work with. I appreciated the process of him creating our photobooth pictures, back drop, and props. A play of light was a great overall team to work with and I am so thankful I picked them as my vendor!
