When you book with A Note Above the Rest, you will receive a personalized phone call to talk through the load in and setup details, attire, music selections, and any other important information. We provide a contract outlining these details as well as what you can expect from us.

Hello,
My name is Tony Hagood. I am the owner and founder of A Note Above the Rest. We provide the highest quality music at reasonable prices for our clients' weddings, cocktail hours, dinners, receptions, and much much more.
I started studying music officially in the 3rd grade although I tinkered on keyboards long before then. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I received my bachelor of music degree from Capital University in 2010 and have been working as a professional musician since playing a wide range of performances from solo piano, to orchestras, to cover bands, jazz bands, festivals, concert series, stadiums, and much much more.
I wanted to start this company to continue to raise the bar on the quality of music provided to clients and friends based on my extensive performance and music background and the connections I've made along the way. We are friends with and use musicians from such institutions as; Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Harmony Project, Westerville Symphony Orchestra, McConnell Arts Center Orchestra, Tony Hagood Presents Jazz at the MAC, and more!
When you book with A Note Above the Rest you can rest assured that you will receive the best musical experience there is to offer. We work closely with you or your planner to make sure there is no detail left undetermined so that when your special day comes, you can enjoy it!
We have an extensive list of songs available to play for your wedding, cocktail hour, dinner, reception etc. If there is a song you'd like that we don't know, we are happy to learn it!
