Laikyn and Bryan were our highlight when it comes to wedding vendors that we selected for our day. Truly, we LOVED working with them from the engagement shoot to the wedding day. As a couple themselves, they put us at ease during the engagement shoot with the fear of ‘but where do I put my hands’ in a photo because they could demonstrate poses. They listened to us first and then directed from there. It made that a perfect time to loosen up, get to know them, and start getting a little more comfortable being photographed. While we were a bit further from their home area, they didn’t bat an eye about meeting up in Baltimore and doing two locations for engagement photos.

As our wedding day approached, they had a timeline in place with checkpoints along the way that made not only our planning with them, but with our other vendors, go so smoothly. Their website was user friendly, and we could ask all our questions through email or zoom with confidence that they’d have answers.

On the day of, we couldn’t have asked for a team that felt more there ‘for us’ to make sure the day went smoothly AND captured it all in photos! From the moment they showed up to the salon, they were attentive to all the details. Some would say that’s the job, but it was much more than that. They checked in with us- peeled film off signs, told us to relax and let them carry boxes during morning setup so hair/makeup didn’t get ruined, helped bustle my dress (TWICE!), got bees out from the layers of my dress when walking lavender fields for pictures, worked with us to capture the tiny humans in our families, seemed to be everywhere at our reception any time we wanted them to snap a group photo, and the list goes on. Laikyn, Bryan, and their bonus assistant for the day went above and beyond the asks of a photography team and did it all with kindness, humor, and the utmost professionalism. Choose them!

I could not have imagined anything better than Laikyn and Bryan for our wedding. Not only did they get to know us before the day, they had a great planning tool to help with making sure we got all the pics we wanted. On the day of, they were there from the start until the very end of our day. As two very awkward people (and a plus-size self conscious bride!), we were SO comfortable in front of their lens. We felt like we were hanging out with friends, not two people behind cameras. Not to mention our photos are AMAZING! I can’t stop staring at them. Bryan and Laikyn were able to capture our personalities and every funny, emotional, happy, joyous moment of our day. Seriously, you couldn’t get a better photographer duo than A Life Built For Two!

Don't look any further. Bryan and Laikyn were the absolute best photographers that we could have ever booked for our special day. They helped us with absolutely everything from the detailed organization in the planning process, follow-ups, clear and constant communication, to everything we needed on our wedding day and then some! These two aren't just photographers, they are the wedding toolboxes you didn't know you needed! Not only did our pictures turn out absolutely stunning, they spent 11 hours with us and helped with little things like the groomsmens' boutonnieres to helping our maid of honor bustling the bride's dress minutes before our grand reception entrance! Their vision, creativity, alertness, and ability to keep everyone on track and on time was exceptional, and made for some outstanding photos that wouldn't have happened otherwise! We feel incredibly fortunate and lucky to have found Laikyn and Bryan from A Life Built for Two. We had a micro-wedding that was planned in less than half a year and we were a bit last minute in tracking down vendors. Bryan and Laikyn were the first and only photographers we spoke with and we were impressed and felt at ease with them from the start.
Their personalities meshed with ours; they were very easy to talk to and also professional and thorough in the planning process, putting us at ease. Through a few Zoom sessions leading up to the day, they took the time and care to plan so when the day arrived, it was all just execution for them and fun for us.
On our wedding day, they were rockstars. They went above and beyond, in not only taking so many memorable photos we'll always cherish, but also in wrangling family, running errands through the hotel, and keeping the day moving on schedule. They made our whole family feel comfortable. Everyone was impressed with their professionalism, work ethic, and creativity.
And everything they did on that day was evident in the wonderful photos we saw a few weeks later. (They even sent us a dozen or so photos less than 48 hours later, a "sneak peak," and we knew we had hit the jackpot in getting them to document our day). When we got to see all of the photos, about a month after the wedding, we were blown away. The variety of shots, the close-ups and wide angles, the candid shots and the posed portraits, the way they were able to make the venue shine, how they took advantage of the lighting -- everything was perfect.
And after they had us to their house for a photo "reveal party," they spent so much time and again took a lot of care into ensuring the wedding albums we purchased were exactly the way we wanted them. They spent hours with us on Zoom for a few different nights! They were patient and helpful in guiding us. You could tell they wanted our albums to be as perfect as we wanted them to be. They cared as much as we did, which in the end wasn't surprising because this is the way they were from Day One.
They weren't just vendors after everything was over -- they felt like friends that we hope to stay in touch with. Seriously, do yourselves a favor and hire them for your wedding!

I was very hesitant to hire a photographer because I really did not want any strangers at my wedding due to the events intimate nature. After finding Bryan, I knew that would not be the case! He quickly became a great friend of mine through our meetings where we talked about the wedding and all of my wants. Bryan was professional and completely encapsulated the feel of my wedding in his photos. On the day of, Bryan was so attentive and sweet to everyone. The photos were phenomenal and I seriously could not have chosen a better photographer. We were running VERY behind schedule due to my family, and Bryan was able to work with this seamlessly, and even got all of the bridal party and family formals done in a short time per my request.
