We rented everything except linens from kimo at a grand affair. He was so helpful and gave us an amazing price! He was so calm and worked professionally with me even when I was calling a million times to make all the little changes before the wedding. These guys made me feel at ease and I was so happy we used them.

Reading over the other reviews saddens me because I wish I had the same experience. However, I STRONGLY WARN others to AVOID USING THIS COMPANY.

As the other reviews state, Kimo is really nice and friendly. I felt confident that he would deliver since he knew several of the groomsmen and the groom. He returned calls within a week or two which seemed delayed even in the wedding industry, but the reviews all said he was good so I let it slide. Working with A Grand Affair turned out to be a NIGHTMARE.

Quick summary:
Rentals were more than 24 hours late, arriving within hours of the ceremony when guests had already arrived. (This caused a stressful domino effect: Groomsmen were late for photos, bride and maid-of-honor making calls instead of getting ready, guests helping to set up tables and chairs, hundreds of dollars of decorations unable to be used because we ran out of time).

Half of the rentals items never showed up. (This included big items like a tent and small items like lights. Luckily the band brought extra. Still, one guest fell).

The items that did show up were dirty. (Tablecloths ripped and stained. Chairs covered with dust).

Some items were forgotten and the day-of-wedding-planner had to demand that they be brought. (The main item that I'm talking about was the ALTER!!!)

Nobody could get a hold of the company to find out why they were late or when they would arrive. (This was an inconvenience and stressful beyond belief. 16 friends had taken time off of work the day before the wedding to help us set up. There isn't much one can set up when there is nothing to set items on. We spent an entire day waiting, not knowing if we could go anywhere to work on other items that needed to be done).

It has been almost a month and we still haven't received an explanation or an apology. This company seems to run by nice people who mean well, but they are terrible at running a business.
