We did not hire 2nd Wind. We hired Edwin Butler, the Pianist, His services were professional and elegant. It was the perfect element to our white wedding. It created a romantic environment. Edwin is easy to work with. Highly recommended. Thank you.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stumble across 2nd Wind while browsing the various wedding websites searching for a band to provide the entertainment for our wedding reception. They had glowing reviews from others and several past performance videos posted for us to watch. We were impressed and decided to reach out!

Our wedding was in September 2021 in Lexington, KY and we booked 2nd Wind about a year in advance. Edwin (rockstar musician and band manager) was our single point of contact the entire time and was responsive by email, phone call and text. We're both music lovers and I’m a DJ who does weddings myself so we had high expectations and really wanted our reception to feel like a concert. 2nd Wind absolutely delivered! Their talent, energy and professionalism were fantastic and we’re so glad we went with them!

In the months leading up to our wedding, Edwin always made himself available, sent songlists and accommodated our requests and preferences for music and setup arrangements. I will say that we did pay for several upgrades including additional speaker setups for both our ceremony and cocktail hour, extra dance floor lighting, a three-piece horn section, and a DJ for band breaks (they brought DJ Arie who killed it!).

On the big day, they arrived promptly at the venue’s opening time as Edwin promised and worked really well with our coordinator during setup. We had some specific music requests (arranged in advance) for the band and DJ for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing and they accommodated everything. Aretha, one of their very talented vocalists, was also the evening’s MC and did a phenomenal job. The appearance of the stage, their equipment and instruments, and all the band members themselves was top notch and their music selection and energy really drew our guests in. We received numerous compliments from our guests after the wedding about the band and how much fun they had on the dance floor. Speaking of the dance floor, 2nd Wind & DJ Arie had it packed from the first song until closing time!

2nd Wind is the best! We could not recommend a better, more engaging band for your wedding, or for any event! Edwin with 2nd Wind was extremely easy and pleasant to work with throughout the planning process. The band showed up on time, were very professional and FUN! We had several wedding guests that took cards from 2nd Wind, many who told us 2nd Wind was the best wedding band they had ever seen & several guests messaged us afterwards asking for the name of the wedding band so that they could keep 2nd Wind Band in mind for future events!

We had so many people tell us this was one of the best bands they'd ever had at a wedding! They kept the dance floor packed and the party moving!

2nd Wind Live was amazing! They kept our guests on the dance floor all night long and played a wide range of music that everyone enjoyed. We received so many compliments on the band, I would HIGHLY recommend 2nd Wind Live for your wedding or next event, they were fantastic.

I cannot believe this band is not already listed here! Best kept secret, apparently. Edwin Butler, my contact, was very responsive (especially at the beginning) and is accessible by phone or email. It was very easy to coordinate with Edwin, and he was very receptive to my requests (i.e., no line dances, please!) They kept the party going ALL night. All my guests commented on how spectacular they were, and many who might not be the dancing type still hung around for the entire party just to watch them perform. One guest commented that he'd pay at least a $20 cover to get into a bar/venue to see them play, which from him is a pretty high compliment. :) Though our liquor service stopped at 11:30, the band played on for another hour and people were thrilled to stay. Some didn't want to leave. I cannot say enough good things. This group knows how to play and knows how to wail and knows how to work the crowd. We had all ages going, from my teenage cousins to my 80+ grandma!
