Amazing, Perfect, The best day of my life!

The price was perfect, the space was so dreamy. Everything was 110% perfection for our wedding. They made it stress-free and I was able to enjoy our wedding day without worries! Extra bonus that you get to have you reception overlooking the mountains and the landscape is absolute heaven for pictures. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing experience!

Shelby and her staff were amazing to work with from day 1 to the wedding day. We had our ceremony at their pond on property and our reception at the outdoor tent right up the hill. The venue is a blank canvas and absolutely beautiful - it's a perfect spot if you want to create your own vision and have it come to life! We chose early October and the foliage was just stunning. I can't recommend them enough!

Beautiful!

The view was amazing. There were so many opportunities for pictures with all kinds of back grounds. A huge plus is that it’s very private so people driving bye won’t interfere with your ceremony.

Great Space and Views

Shelby and her team at Theatre in the Woods were very responsive and flexible in making our day magical. For an outdoor woodsy wedding venue, we did not see one bug flying around which was really great. We were the first large wedding that was at this venue which made for a few issues including layout of tables being changed around and the men's bathroom being un finished. I would still recommend this venue to all future brides if you want to be outside and have great views. The venue was clean, beautiful, and didn't need much extra décor to make it look like a wedding.

Poor wedding venue

Poor communication. Poor staff. Poor planning. Poor response time. Not worth my time writing all the ways in which this venue failed to meet basic expectations. Stay far away it is a disaster. I'd sooner recommend your local scrap yard than this place.

Beautiful, but so disappointing.

While this venue is stunning and the day was wonderful (because I got to marry my best friend), the experience we had in the year leading up to the wedding was HORRENDOUS. I cried almost daily because of the frustration and stress caused just trying to get basic wedding details squared away in the months leading up to our big day.

In full transparency, we paid about $10,000 for this venue. This includes the location to get married and have the reception, and a stocked bar. This was also **SUPPOSED TO** come with a reliable venue coordinator and maple syrup favors made on the property.

Our initial experience with Cierra Fall was wonderful. She was attentive, communicative, and very kind. We felt comfortable paying to book this venue with her. Within the first couple of months after booking, I sent Cierra an email, and got a very short email back essentially saying “Cierra does not work here anymore.” There was no prior communication— just me trying to reach out and getting that response. In my opinion, all brides should have been contacted. But that was one small issue at the time I was willing to get over.

Then, we started working with someone else. I think her name was Amanda? She was able to answer some questions, but ultimately did not work with weddings. After that, we were notified that a new venue coordinator had taken over.

I am not kidding when I say I had to email in repeatedly over several weeks to get any sort of response from this coordinator. When I tried to call in, I could not physically get to her extension through the directory. After weeks of tears and frustration, seriously concerned that we had been scammed and our wedding wasn’t secure at this venue, I got ahold of the coordinator for the first time. I asked her if our date was secure, and if she had our contract, and she said “I don’t know.” I had to ask her to go look and find our information. She wasn’t planning on it.

From there on out, any sort of communication with her was an act of congress. It would take weeks—and several follow-ups—to get a response. Also, she told me that Cierra lied to me and many other brides about several things that come included with the venue, so we felt incredibly deceived. Chairs, day-of duties, dance floor lighting, etc. had all apparently been lied to us about. But at this point, it was too late. We had already paid.

A week before the wedding, I got another call. The venue coordinator quit! I understand this is out of the venue’s control, however the way it was handled was so frustrating. They let me know they had none of our wedding information, so I had to spend 40 minutes on the phone running through every detail AGAIN. With the 4th person so far. The week leading up to the wedding was the most frustrating, emotional, and stressful experiences. I would not wish it on any couple getting married.

We again were told that several things were not included as we were originally promised. Chairs for the ceremony, and the maple syrup favors. The maple syrup favors are in the contract we signed, and were a big selling point for us. My fiancé called our new venue contact about this and was told: “yeah, I guess we’ll just make 100 of those for you for free” … It’s not free, it is a service the venue committed to provide a year and a half ago, one that we paid for with the cost of the venue.

In terms of the chairs, we were originally told by Cierra that we could (and honestly should) have chairs on the amphitheater steps so people don’t have to sit on stone. There were chairs out that she showed us, and we have photos of them. Fast forward 3 different people, we ask how the chairs will be set up, and are told “we have never offered chairs, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” After some back and forth, it was decided that our groomsmen would need to set out 100 chairs AND pick them all up after the ceremony. Side note, we would not have gotten married here if we knew the only way to give our guests seating would be to make out groomsmen heavy lift it all for 100 people. Ridiculous.

I don’t know what’s going on here, because all the reviews were incredible when we originally toured and booked this venue, but this experience was truly hell in many ways and I would strongly suggest either hiring a dedicated wedding planner or expecting stress, frustration, and constant last-minute changes and deception if you plan to get married here.

On the bright side, it’s beautiful!
