The Barn on the Pemi

Our 7/4/24 wedding was everything we could have imagined and more thanks to The Barn on the Pemi and their AMAZING coordinator Carole!!! The Common Man’s catered food was delicious - we got endless compliments dinner and desert. The rustic looks of The Barn are breath takingly gorgeous. The mountain view that The Barn has is something you’d see from a magazine. And the green house looks like something from a fairy tail.
The staff was also so FRIENDLY and hard working. We stayed at The Cabin in the Woods onsite and had friends at both the mini cabins and the Common Man Inn and Lodge which worked out perfectly for us. With that said, have your wedding at The Barn on the Pemi. You will not regret it!!! I cannot say enough good things :)

My husband and I got married this May at the barn, and could not have been more thankful to work with Carole as our day-of-coordinator, as well as the rest of her team. We had toured the venue the spring prior- and fell in love with the greenhouse with its blooming flowers for the ceremony, as well as the charm of the mountains in the background of the rustic barn. After we booked, we fell in love with the staff as well, and realized we could not have made a better decision. The food was amazing as a plus, I wish I could eat our wedding meal every night. If I was to do my whole wedding again, I would book the barn again in a heartbeat!

So how we even found out about the Barn on the Pemi is a story in itself.
We had just gotten engaged two days earlier, while on a road trip out west. We were in Yellowstone national park, and we went on a cowboy dinner to celebrate my fiancé’s birthday. We struck up a conversation with the woman sitting across from us at our picnic table. She was from Massachusetts and said that she had just been to the most beautiful wedding that she had every been to, and proceeded to show us some absolutely stunning wedding pictures of her niece’s wedding at the Barn on the Pemi. She raved about how the food was amazing and how beautiful the venue is and how everyone there had had such a good time.

Once we returned from our trip we started the process of comparing wedding venues, but we may have been a little biased due to our chance encounter in Yellowstone. When we actually got to tour the venue for ourselves, we didn’t have to look anywhere else, because we knew this is where we were going to get married.

Carole was awesome to work with throughout the entire wedding process. She was very responsive and would answer any question we had. And she was a huge asset during the planning process and helped to create a rough timeline and let us know what to expect during the wedding day. We always felt like we were in good hands with Carole.

So our wedding date was in late March, we knew there was always a possibility of a snow storm when we picked the date. But we felt pretty good all through March as we hadn’t seen a hint of snow since early February and we even had some 60 degree days already. So naturally, the week before the wedding the weather changes, and they were predicting a major snow storm on our wedding day.

It started snowing overnight the night before the wedding and just never stopped. We ended up getting over 2 feet of snow in Plymouth, and while we had a number of guests and vendors cancel due to the snow, everything else went flawlessly at the barn. Carole was out there herself snow blowing the walk way so that we could take pictures by the arch. Carole also setup a live stream on her phone so that guests that couldn’t attend could still watch the ceremony online. Carole and the entire barn team were amazing.

Speaking of amazing, the food was amazing! We went with the braised short ribs, mashed potatoes and green beans and I highly recommend. The bacon wrapped scallops and Thai meatballs for passed apps were great as well and the pretzel wall at the end of the night was a huge hit.

My one regret is that we were so busy having a blast during the wedding that we didn’t get to try all the food.

The two minor issues for us were:
1.) The trolley was canceled at the last minute due to all the snow, so we had to scramble to get ourselves and bridal party over to the barn.
2.) Some of our guests said it was little confusing booking rooms within the room block. And we found it a little confusing that the tiny cabin was available in the room block even though it comes with your wedding.

But overall I would give them 5/5 Stars, I would highly recommend the Barn on the Pemi for your wedding. Carole is the best :)

My husband and I, along with both our families, cannot say enough about Carole and her entire team at the Barn. This was the first and only place we toured because we fell in love right away. The barn and the American flag took our breath away and the location could not be better. From day one touring the venue, to the morning after the wedding, we were blown away by the attention to detail and the amazing service. I constantly felt out of my depths with planning, but each time I spoke with Carole throughout the process, I felt reassured that they had everything under control. Getting ready in the cabin could not have been a better experience - the greenhouse, the barn, the tiny cabins, the view, the team, the food - literally everything was amazing. All night, the Barn team was one step ahead of us and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. It truly felt like they were an extension of our family and we couldn't be more grateful.

My husband and I got married this past August at the Barn on the Pemi and we cannot stop thinking about what an amazing day it was. All of our guests commented on the stunning views during our ceremony on the terrace, the beautiful barn, and the amazing food. Carole was our day of coordinator and was so extremely helpful not only on the day of, but the months leading up to our wedding. She was so responsive to all of our emails and answered every question that we had. She was so organized and made sure everything went smoothly the day of. She also helped family members set up the barn on the morning of our wedding, which we greatly appreciated. We cannot say enough good things about Carole! We wish that we could redo our wedding day over and over.

My husband and I got married June 8,2023. I cannot express how happy we were with everything. Kendra, our coordinator, was extremely helpful, responsive, and patient with the 100’s of emails I sent in the months leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding, she made sure everything went smoothly and it did! I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, other than enjoying the day. She helped set up all of the decorations, and everything was beautiful. We were also very impressed by all of the food! We got a ton of food because we hate being a guest at a wedding that doesn’t have enough food. Everything tasted so good. There are also many severe allergies in mine and my husbands family, and they were amazing in making sure everything was safe for us to eat. Thank you SO much the Barn on the Pemi for making my wedding amazing!!!

What an incredibly beautiful venue. We worked with Kendra, who was the saving grace to our wedding weekend. Kendra worked with us along the way to make sure that we had everything necessary for our perfect day. We were greeted with an absolute monsoon the morning of our wedding, which caused high humidity resulting in a trolley breaking down and me being over an hour late for our ceremony. Kendra and the team at the barn communicated with our guests and with me as I waited in the lobby of the Inn. Our guests received complementary champagne as they waited in a wet greenhouse and the second trolley fee was credited back to our account no questions asked. Despite the rain, our day was pure perfection. Kendra set up our decor to meet our vision, and she did it well. I could ramble on about this venue, but in short, everything from the food to the people was everything we wanted for our wedding day. I would choose the Barn over and over again if I had the chance!

The Common Man is a New Hampshire staple. We wanted a venue that would handle everything and require very little from us as a couple, which was The Barn to a T! Kendra was our point person for the majority of our planning process, she was thorough, quick to respond, and even facilitated a last minute rehearsal dinner at The Common Man Inn and Spa. The food was amazing, especially the french fry bar as our late night snack! The Barn is a well oiled machine, great for those brides that want a beautiful day and want to enjoy it as well! The only thing I would change is I wish that the bridal party got ready somewhere else, they did warn me that The Cabin in the Woods was not the best place to get ready, but we really liked the idea of staying on the same property as the reception. Overall fantastic experience!!

The Barn on the Pemi was love at first venue tour, and Kendra was extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and helping us find a date with peak foliage within our budget. Carole was our day-of coordinator and was absolutely incredible. Not a thing went wrong and I attribute most of that to her hard work in keeping everything running smoothly and on schedule. Photos don't do the views or venue justice, the food was delicious, and the staff was so helpful all evening. We couldn't have picked a better venue to get married.

Kendra and The Barn on the Pemi absolutely knock it out of the park! We looked at countless barn wedding venues across New England and The Barn was our favorite by far. The barn itself, the multiple ceremony options, and the overall location/surrounding area is visually stunning. Not to mention, with the two ceremony sites, you get a variety of photographs, no matter what! The Barn’s menu is vast and their tasting event allows for you to sample many things before making a final decision. Our meal selections were outstanding, along with the dessert and late night snacks we chose. Plus, the dessert and late night snack displays are so fun and creative— they were such a huge hit! The Barn staff and service were incredible, both dinner and bar alike. Then, there’s Kendra. I’m not sure I can even do her justice in this review. She is gold!!! From start to finish, she made the planning process and the event itself absolutely seamless and perfect. She’s professional but humorous, responsive no matter how many questions you may have, prepared and organized, got all the answers and if she doesn’t she can get you them, so fun but calm and down to earth (which kept me calm even on my wedding day), efficient and takes the lead without being bossy, got a fantastic eye for detail (she beautifully set up all of my decor). I seriously could go on. If I could have invited her to my wedding as a guest, I would have! A connection that I will forever cherish. Our wedding at The Barn was everything I could have dreamed of and if I could do it all over again, I would!
