Hey! Hope wedding planning is still going well. Mine has pretty much halted with school starting!
There were great, very helpful, we rented their margarita machine, their coffee maker and used their bar and bartender. They were always flexibile and nice, willing to meet me at the venue whenever I needed. It was a little pricey but all they do for you like setting up and helping is way worth it. Just make sure you give your guest directions as it is way in the middle of nowhere.
Fajita was great, they even were ready and served dinner an hour earlier than planned!! They were a great value, everyone loved the food and they provided apps only three weeks before the wedding when I changed my mind.
DISAPPOINTING! We met Tanya on Weddingwire.com. We had a smaller budget, but our wedding was on a Monday, so she was able to work with us on that. She includes an engagement session with any contract. Our engagment session was four hours long spent with her and her husband, we were going to be using the pics for our photo guest book she was creating for us. We had a great time, and the pictures were great. The only catch was that she only released 20 pictures from the session. I was thinking there should be more, as we were there for four hours. So I emailed her and she informed me that those were the very best ones and that a lot of the others she did not wish to disclose as they were not up to her standard. It didn't matter that much, as we only needed about 10 pics and they were all good. I dropped it.
Two weeks or so before the wedding she requested a "shot list" for group photos. I took time out to make the list and sent it back promtly. During group photos at the wedding she informed me that "she didn't bring the list" I was unable to remeber my 50 or so different pose combos, and the back up copy I had was too far away. What kind of photographer doesn't bring the shot list to the wedding? We had to go on with out it (I would have had about triple the amount I recieved of group shots had the list been followed).
I waited the 6-8 weeks she requested after the wedding to recieve the link to view my wedding photos. My contract was 5 hours of photography with two photographers. My father in law had already given me 396 pictures from the wedding, so I was very anxious for the "offical" ones. She sent me the link, there were 411 pictures, we both loved them. Then it wore off as we started to ask, "Hey where is that picture of both of us kissing our son?" (she had set up the pose), and "There are no pictures of me before I met with my father prior to walking down the isle.". More and more we realized that lots of poses she set up for us, had no picture. She had taken our wedding bands, to photograph, and again there was no picture. I had forgotten about it, but my father in law had pics of this (luckily). I quickly emailed her and expressed my concern and asked for very specific pictures, her response was that she couldn't find those shots, maybe I was mistaken.
I was very dissappointed at this point. A week later I checked her blog, (she posts pictures) and much to my surprise there was a picture from my wedding that had not been disclosed to me!! She had more pictures from my wedding that were good enough to put on her blog, but not good enough to give to me! I contacted her once again with this evidence, and requested a copy of all pictures taken at my wedding. She emailed me one sentence and said she would mail them asap.
She did send the pictures, the "finished" and "raw" on various cds. There were 7 finished and 8 cds of raw pictures. 8 cds full of pictures that I would have never seen, had I not checked her blog and been very adamant with her. She has not contacted me since. She owes me a print, she had given me a coupon for prior to the wedding. Now I have to find alternate sources to print pictures, have pictures enlarged/ edited and a new venue to have an album made. These are things I should be able to do with my contracted, professional photographer, and now am without. We feel ripped off by this photographer.
I don't know what happened, but I don't understand how two people designated to take pictures turn out less shots than a guest of honor at the occassion. Why would the photographer not give you all the pictures they have (most of the "raw" pictures were just as good as the finished)? And why, when you tell your contracted photographer, that you have known for 9 months, who is supposed to capture and preserve your one and only special day, not be willing to work with you and make you feel better? Perhaps because she had already been paid?
If you are already booked with MetroBlue, have a talk with her. Tell her EXACTLY what you are expecting from her. If you are searching for a photographer for your wedding, move along. It is too important a day, to have all of this mess to deal with.
Prices are such a drastic difference from wedding cakes. If you want a beautiful cake and you dont want most of of your budget to go to it, use Sam's. It tasted great, looked great, was great. Only downfall is you must pick it up, I had the father of the groom and the groom go get it first thing in the morning.
1/2 the tuxes didn't fit including the groom. One associate was super helpful and allowed us to hold on to multiple tuxes for the day to see what would work best. They don't have anything in store and can only order certain days, I was panicked but it all worked out fine.
I went to 6 different salons before this one, I was completely frustrated with the whole process. Briana was great, I ended up buying a dress she suggested that I didn't know about. The salon is just the write combo of comfort and elegance. You are not on your own like David's bridal but they are not "on top of you" the whole time like Alfred Angelo. Nothing broke or fell apart on my dress, it was ready quickly after cleaning and I was very happy with the salon.
Horrible vendor!!!! About the same price as other DJ's but Tim Dill was so bad. Played phone tag a lot, he didn't play the songs on my playlist and my guests had to request songs so they could dance. Two weeks before the wedding he assured me that we were good to go, that he had accquired all my songs and that he was set. The day before the wedding when I was on my way to rehearsal, he told me he couldn't find the song I wanted for my recessional (the most important song of my wedding). My brother and I had to find it on the internet and email him the link again (i emailed it to him months ago) while we were trying to get ready for rehearsal dinner. Then at the wedding he approached my husband during the cocktail hour and told him that he didn't have the mother son song! So he lied to me two weeks before when he said he had all the songs. I regret using them and If you already have them booked, change!!!!!! Even if you loose your deposit, it will be worth it. I was on top of everything for my wedding and they were my only vendor I had an issue with.
We bought both my bands there, and it was a great experience. We love them and we got a great price and service. We bought my husbands ring online instore and when it arrived I wasn't sure I liked it and one week later, they let me return it no questions asked. It was great. My husband also bought my wedding present (pearls) there.
