I LOVE Catering by Uptown's Celebrations at the Bay venue and I was very pleased with our experience holding our wedding there. The venue is gorgeous--right on the Chesapeake Bay and the staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is amazing--I made a point to eat my whole dinner and we have gotten endless compliments on the appetizers, entrees (their crab cake converted me to liking seafood!), and cake. They were also very accomodating of our non-traditional ceremony. They're prices seem to be on the high end of the market, but they do not nickle and dime you, so when you add up additional costs at other venues the price at Celerations is only slightly more or the same, but I believe the quality of the product and experience is much better. My husband's only concern about the whole experience was that there were a couple times when there was only 1 bartender working to serve our 200 guests, and as a result guests had to wait longer than we would have liked to be served at our open bar. This was called to our event coordinator's attention twice and she responded quickly to get the bar staffed up--even mixing drinks herself to address the situation.
Carolyn was wonderful to work with! She really listened to my ideas and the look I was interested in and had many good ideas that worked with what I had in mind and helped us stay in budget. Carolyn was also very flexible in working with my busy schedule before the wedding. I recommend her very highly!
I love Bobbi's! They have a very wide selection of dresses and they make you feel comfortable and at ease (you actually get to pick the dresses you try on as opposed to many other bridal shoppes that don't want you to review the racks). They were very accomodating for me as a tried on many dresses and had 5 people with me! I also believe that their pricing was very competative and I was lucky enough to find a discontinued dress that fit off the rack at a great price. All of my bridesmaids also bought their dress through Bobbi's and Bobbi was very flexible as my ladies came in whenever they could to get sized, or called in with their measurements. In addition, one of our bridesmaids' dresses had a manufacturer flaw and Bobbi was extremely proactive in working with the designer to have a replacement dress rushed out--I never had to worry about it all!

We were very pleased with Michael Valenti's services providing music for our ceremony and dj'ing our reception. Michael was very flexible and accomodating in light of several changes in our plans (live cermeony musicians bailing a couple weeks before the wedding). It was also very easy to send him the very specific recordings that we wanted played at the ceremony. He did a great job of emcee'ing the reception in exactly the manner we had asked him to: clearly providing guests with info, but mostly staying under the radar in the background. We were very pleased with his online system that allowed us to select must play and do not play songs and he followed our instructions very well --the vast majority of our guests were on the dance floor all night! Our only note was that the cordless mike used for the toasts kept fading in and out which was frustrating, and either a different mike should have been used or the toasters should have been given instructions about where they would need to stand for the mike to work. All around we were very happy.
We were very pleased with Dillon's Bus Service. We booked 2 coaches with them and used them to transport the wedding party and immediate family earlier on our wedding day, and over 100 of our guests from the hotel to the ceremony venue. Dillon's was accomodating and the buses ran multiple trips. The drivers were professional, ontime, clearly knew where they were going, were good natured about our guests tendency to burst into song, and made sure that everything went smoothly.

I was very happy with Barbara (makeup) and Sonia (Hair). They went out of their way to accomodate my busy schedule for my hair and makeup trial. I was thrilled with both my trial and my wedding day look. They also worked with a number of my bridesmaids, and were as flexible as possible when people decided to add services close to the wedding day. My mom never wears makeup but wanted something special for the wedding and Barbara did a wonderful job with her. They were very punctual--early even!--cheerful and calm. Thank you!
