Our Story

We met at a D&D group.  I thought he was a complete jerk at first.  But he fell for me and I fell for him.  He treated me differently from how he treated other people.  Like the rest of the world didn't matter to him, but I was the most important thing.  Before we started officially going out, his best friend spoke to me in private.  He said "This is a really great guy who will really love you, but don't you dare play around with him or hurt him!"  That was in October of '06.  We've been together and happily in love since.

On Monday, June 22nd 2009, my sweetie proposed to me in front of a pond with water jets sprinkling beautifully. He kneeled in the grass, holding out one of my rings (he didn't know what engagement ring to buy) and asked me to marry him. I don't know why I paused. I just couldn't believe what was happening. Of course, I blurted out a yes!

The Ring

My sister is a jeweler, and will me making our rings when that time comes.  The engagement ring will have a purple sapphire instead of a diamond. It's really pretty!  You can see the picture here: www.jewelrytelevision.com/LoadImage.aspx and on my Ring inspiration board.

Our Wedding Plans

We both have big families, so it'll be kinda big.  The theme I want is casual, with a little nerdy thrown in.  I don't think he's very concerned with a theme.  We both love chinese food, so a chinese buffet reception could be the way to go.  The cake will be chocolate, for sure!

 Even if the guests don't actually understand the D20's, that doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool. On the place cards explain that you both like gaming and those D20's are used for very important things.... Like max damage. :-)
