Hi Everyone,

My wedding is in July and I am wearing a strapless dress - I want to have a little bit of color (I am feeling a little pasty at the moment as we coming out of the depths of winter) but do not want go to tanning beds (have done it in the past) because I have a few moles(gotta love that Italian heritage!) and have been told by the drs that it is a no go. So, I am thinking about getting a spray tan to get my little bit of color but I am worried that it may rub off on my dress or I might come out looking too orange! Any advice from those that have done it would be greatly appreciated. If I decide to do it, I would definitely get a trial about a month before but just want to get some feedback first.

Thanks!

    5. Wear loose dark clothing when going for your tan

    6. Don’t judge your tan until you take the first shower after your get your tan! When it first goes on it is super light but darkens over the next 6 hours, it might look uneven but after you shower that’s when you get to see your beautiful glow!!

I do tanning ^_^ but the spray tan was not favorable to me; i have natural skin tones that come out just using the UV rays. However, when i did my free-trial of spray tan, my hands were orange =\ They teach you how to stand in the booth, but even so some spots get an overlay of paint, therefore causing splotches of orange.

I'd suggest, if you were going to do it, to shoot for a week prior to the wedding. That way if it doesnt go on evenly, it will eventually even out. Experimenting with tanning is NOT something you want to do at the last minute!

Wow! Thanks everyone for your comments! It is nice to know that I am not the only one wondering about this. I used to do tanning beds in my early twenties but do to health reasons menioned before I am trying to stay away from them now. Alos, I woudl normally go for the good ol' fashion bake in the natural sun but still it's not good for moles etc and my new birth control will actually casue me to have melasma (spots of brown discoloration due to hormononal change from the pills) on my face when it gets tanned! Not cool. WEll, I think I will look into getting airbrushed - definitely do some research as per your suggestions - but I think I'm going to wear a bandeau top as I don't think I could go full-frontal in front of a stranger!

    Thanks again!
