Shapers for low back dress???

KBM, on August 2, 2012 at 11:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 12

Has anyone found a shaper they like for a low back dress? I want something that does not roll down and helps with a tummy bulge.

Gorgeous dress! I used just some simple slimming panties with my dress. It didn't give me a TON of support, but I also didn't need a great deal. I bought them at TJ Maxx.

    Gorgeous dress!

I'm a big fan of anything by Yummie Tummie and prefer that brand to Spanx or Cosabella. It's the only brand I've ever worn that stays put and never rolls.

I found this which looks interesting. Has anyone used or seen these before?

Is this the all over lace trumpet gown at David's bridal?

The shaper bellow will work well - It has a good tummy support and I know it looks like the back is too high but trust me it will work.

This one will also work the reason I didn't go with this particular one is because it did not offer a lot of chest support and I am a D cup, but if you are A or B cup this one is pretty good and they have a thong and shorts bottom versions, one other disadvantage is that this one you cannot wear without the straps but they can sew the the dress with shape wear so it would move with the dress and nobody would see it.

I would not recomend this one, no support .

I searched high and low for the perfect shaper for my dress. I wanted something smooth with firm control, but not an old fashioned girdle! :-) I found the Rita shaping slip from a company called dMondaine. The nice lady there helped me find the correct size and I would recommend the Rita to anyone. I particularly liked the low front and soft fabrics that were really comfortable under my dress, and the back straps could be moved around for different styles.

I even bought a black one for going out on the town.

Holy moly thank you for posting a link to that Susan!!! It's the only thing I have been able to find for a low back dress that helps with tummy AND hips and thighs. Hooray!

Omg I have had the worst time finding something. I have ordered 3 different products and non have worked. I am a DD which makes it 10 times harder. Everything is either not low enough or not supportive. And mine is lace up top so I couldn't have any straps. Most irritating thing. I bought the low back forest from Va Bien. And my dress alterations lady is just going to show it down where I dont need it.

Hi Susan, I would love to have a look at this as this is the only thing that would suit my dress. However, the link redirects me to a spam website.

Would you be able to give us another link/ info on how to find this?

That would be fabulous, thanks! Smiley smile
