Possible to Alter Beaded, Straight Neckline into a Sweetheart? Pics Att.

Meghan, on May 17, 2013 at 9:02 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Would it be possible to take the dress pictured here and make it a sweetheart neckline? I thought the heavy strip of beading might make that impossible.

You're best bet would be to ask at the bridal shop, or a seamstress.

It's really easy to turn a straight neckline into a sweetheart, may not be a deep or dramatic sweetheart, but they can tack it so it comes down a bit.

I'm pretty sure it can be done if the beading is on it's own strip of fabric. If they are sewn directly on the dress at the neckline, it will be a no to making it a sweetheart. But if you are not totally in love with those beads, they can be removed and maybe you could find a beaded belt type of thing that might be able to be sewn to the top of the neckline. Anything is possible if you are creative enough and willing to spend the money.
