That is such a cute idea! We are using antique mason jars for the vases for our flowers! Smiley smile

There is a really great blog post over on Everylastdetailblog.com of a Michigan couple that had a country wedding (I'd call it a country wedding...not sure if that's definitely what they were going for) and it's so cute and unique. They might have some good ideas.

I love the mason jar idea, and I'm going with sunflowers for my rustic theme. I'm also doing (padded) haybale seating, and tin can centerpieces and lanterns. I'll try and attach some pictures but I've been having trouble!

We are getting married Sept. 2013 in southern TN and having a country wedding in a barn or field. We plan to do a potluck dinner that will save alot of $ in your budget. We plan to provide the meat cooked on our smoker by my father in law to be, hoping for chicken, pork and brisket to accomidate every taste. The budget saver is that we are asking guests to bring their most famous side dish, they have to give me the recipe as well for a cookbook. This will help in the # of guests also, if unexpected ones show up or don't, there will be plenty of food instead of paying a caterer by the plate or just guessing and running out. Also we are asking friends for Mason or Ball jars instead of buying them; and White christmas lights put the plastic tab bread ties on them labled whos are whos, clear tape on the bottom of the jars.

I plan to use bales of straw with cheap fall fabric on them for ceremony seats, they are cheap and useable, 2 people per bale.

    Hope this helps!! Smiley smile

Zazzle.com is a great place to find invitations they are inexpensive and have a wide variety for country themes.

Also look on pintrest!! that is where i have gotten most of my inspiration.

We absolutely love Bittersweet Farms and would be happy to assist in creating a country-esque wedding! Many of our items can be mixed and matched with DIY nad items that are provided from the venue or caterer. Absolutely reach out!

I am in the process of planning a country wedding also. We bought chalkboard contact paper, liquid chalk pen, and decorative label scrapbook punch so each person can label their mason jar drinking glass. These ladies have given a lot of great ideas! We are doing burlap table runners and mason jars with flowers. Going with a simple chalkboard sign instead of traditional programs ( people just throw them away anyways and this will save a couple bucks!) Good Luck!!
