Engagement photography.

I contacted Tom last minute for a surprise proposal photo shoot for my now fiancée. Not only was he able to accommodate my last minute request, he was super helpful with giving me advice on the location and process. We were traveling from a different state and I was unfamiliar with Seattle and the area. Without Tom I could not have made this proposal as special and meaningful as it was. 5 stars across the board from price, to professionalism, to experience and quality. Highly recommend. Tom is a 10/10!

Tom did an amazing job photographing our proposal! I had no idea he was there for us until my now fiancé pointed him out after we had our moment, which Tom captured perfectly.

He was professional and friendly during our session, he directed us very well and we enjoyed chatting with him too!

His turnaround was incredibly quick - the proposal was on a Thursday and he had a sneak peek out to us the next day. The full gallery was edited and available for us to share and download by Sunday afternoon!

The pictures turned out amazing, we are so thrilled to have them so we can look back on this special moment for years to come.

My fiancé did all the coordination obviously, but he said Tom was incredibly responsive and helpful during the planning process. His guidance led my fiancé to pivot locations and it worked out wonderfully.

Best Decision!

For a spontaneous trip from Colorado to Seattle, I wanted to surprise my now fiancée with a proposal. Knowing I needed to capture this moment perfectly, I discovered Tom Ellis Photography. His portfolio of surprise proposals on his website assured me he was the ideal photographer for the occasion.

Since everything was a surprise, I had to quickly coordinate with Tom via calls and texts. He provided invaluable recommendations for the gardens where I planned to propose, suggesting meeting spots and how he could discreetly capture the moment by blending in as a tourist. His guidance made the entire process effortless.

After she said yes, Tom spent ample time with us in the gardens, capturing stunning engagement photos that we could immediately share with our loved ones. I was very surprised (In the best way) :)

I am the future bride to be, Tom took my engagement photos (and the best part, allll of it was a surprise). My now Fiancé was able to coordinate with Tom for the big question (Mind you this was VERY last minute impromptu weekend trip to Seattle)- and I could not have felt more comfortable and asked for better photos! He was able to capture the moment perfectly. I get all happy inside when I think about the experience and how lovely Tom was through the whole process! He is so friendly and provides the best direction for poses. I cannot recommend Tom enough, I guarantee you will be in good hands as I was OH and his turn around for photos, so fast! I was able to post by the time I was home :)

Exceptional Surprise Proposal Photographer

We happened across Tom’s site when searching for a photographer to capture a once-in-a-lifetime surprise proposal. My son was planning to propose during a spontaneous trip to Seattle. Given they would be flying in from CO, finding someone skilled at capturing the special moment was crucial for them since they wouldn't have friends or family present.

Tom was the perfect choice! He sorted out all the details through a brief phone call and text messages, offering insights about the area and coordinating everything behind the scenes to maintain the surprise. Post-proposal, he skillfully captured beautiful engagement photos of the couple in the gardens. Everything unfolded seamlessly, and the photos are truly stunning.

Beautiful Photos!

Tom was incredibly professional and so kind. Weddings are stressful and it was so great to have him as a part of our day. I didn't have to worry about how the photos would turn out, because he was all over it in the planning stage (what types of photos were we looking to have, how we wanted to feel on the day of so he could capture it all). They came out beautifully and he even researched Photoshop techniques for a particular photo we were looking for an effect on and he nailed it. Tom is amazing!

Tom was absolutely perfect

Tom Ellis was amazing from beginning to end. So caring and easy to get a long with. He went above and beyond by helping the groom and groomsmen put their Boutonnieres on. Weddings are very busy for the Bride and Groom, I didn’t get to capture the memories as much as I wanted. The beautiful photos Tom took helped me see things I missed and gave me a chance to enjoy the wedding at a deeper level. He helped make my dream of being a princess for a day come true. Amazing experience!

Tom was amazing to work with! He was up for the adventure of our hot air balloon elopement and embraced it with enthusiasm. My fiancé and I have never taken professional photos and we were unsure as to how the process would work, especially in such a small, confined space, however, Tom made the experience simple, fun and we didn’t even notice he was taking pictures. Tom was extremely professional and guided us throughout the process. We loved all the pictures he took on our special day. Ours was a small wedding in our house and was a combination of Indian and Western traditions, and Tom did a fantastic job in making sure he captured all the critical moments with a smile on his face! Magical experience!

Tom did an amazing job capturing our courthouse wedding in Seattle, WA. He connected with us well in advance of our big day and provided great insights about what to expect on the wedding day by walking us through the entire process. Being a camera shy couple, we were a bit apprehensive about the photoshoot but Tom put us at ease, guided us through the poses and made sure he captured our best angles. It was raining the day of our wedding and he went the extra mile to get pictures on the rooftop that turned out great despite the weather :) He made the stormy skies look magical!! He was very prompt with providing us a sneak peek photo and the rest of the album followed soon afterwards which was a huge hit with our family and friends. Thank you so much, Tom! Amazing and worth it. For real!

Tom was great! He gave great direction and had a beautiful vision for some of the shots! We wanted a few nice photos of our wedding, but this was better than I had anticipated. He was available for questions leading up to the event and gave a lot of insider detail I don't think I would have gotten from anyone else. Tom took our wedding pictures August 2021 at Ray’s Boat House in Seattle. He was wonderful to work with. Amazing experience!

Tom is absolutely the best. He is an incredible photographer, captures the most candid moments, great with creating poses with the best background. His photo quality (digital, prints, and touch up) are some of the best I've ever seen.

He is not only a great photographer, he offered much help trying to help us find a back-up venue when learned our venue was torn up with construction. He went up and beyond!

Photographic Hero in the Era of COVID

Tom did an exceptional job of meeting us where we were as we struggled to make our wedding happen in the midst of the pandemic. He pivoted his whole business model to create options for people in our circumstance and it would not have worked out otherwise. All communication and follow up has been exceptional. On the day of our ceremony, he was extremely flexible and creative in how he used the available spaces to create beautiful posed photographs which we and our families will treasure. His narrative photos of our outdoor - pandemic conscious picnic are treasures as well. He was safe, we were safe, and no one got sick at our wedding. Tom is the best.

Amazing Photogapher!

Tom did an absolutely fabulous job photographing our daughter's wedding. He captured all the important moments and so many spur of the moment details. Wrangling large group shots can be tricky, but he managed with an easy going grace that made everyone comfortable. The pictures are everything we hoped for and he was incredibly efficient about getting them on line quickly so we could share! I can't recommend Tom highly enough - if you need a wedding photographer, he is the very best you can get.

Engagement Photos

We hired Tom to take our engagement photos and he did a great job. After we arrived at Snoqualmie Falls, Tom met up with me and told me the best spot to do the proposal at. He captured the moment perfectly for us. After that we went to a few other locations around the Falls to get some more great pictures. He even took us to another off site location to shoot some more photos at. Tom was very professional and fun to work with. He did a fantastic job and I would recommend him to anyone else who is going to get engagement photos done.

My husband and I really enjoyed working with Tom for our courthouse wedding. Tom was not only very friendly, but he was punctual, well-prepared, and professional. The Wonderful Tom Ellis

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Tom for both our engagement pictures and our wedding and I can say without a doubt we were so lucky to have found him and gotten the chance to work with him! The pictures he caught are some of our favorite to date and we have many of them proudly displayed around our home.

One of the great things about Tom is that he works with you as a couple – taking your suggestions or ideas you might have found from pictures you have seen – to get some really stunning shots, or if you have a particular word or feel you are going for you can share it and he has enough skills built up over his many years of shooting to pull out different tricks to help achieve what you want from your pictures. His style is realistic and in-the-moment, very much a journalistic style, but he can also do soft and loving, which is a wonderful range to have and captures some truly magical moments when you combine the two. He also can photoshop dragons into your pictures and who doesn’t want that?! :D

His willingness to collaborate and work together, as well as how he explains the process of getting a shot (i.e. how lighting works, background, posing, etc. to achieve what we are after), is really what made us more comfortable; he has years of experience, which gives you confidence in his ability, but he also has a humility and easy going feel that puts you at ease and lets you know that you are in good hands. He also worked with us to create a custom budget within our price range and we never felt like we were being given lesser service because we weren’t paying top dollar.

Personally, the thing I most appreciated is that I was able to share some of my concerns on my appearance during our engagement shoot and he helped coach me through how to hold myself so I could make sure I would be comfortable and happy with the pictures, which I certainly am! He was also very kind when I had reached my limit during posed shots during our pre-wedding pictures and he changed things up to help get me back into the swing of enjoying things once again.

Tom is honest and straight forth, which is something we greatly admire in a person, and he is really just a fun guy to have around. His is the sort of presence you want on your wedding day; someone who is calm and in control while also being very competent at what they do and helping you capture the real and beautiful moments of your day.

Tom was excellent!

We loved Tom as our wedding photographer! We had him do an engagement session with us prior to our wedding and came out with great natural looking photos in front of gorgeous backdrops. Tom was very timely over email and helped us come up with a plan for wedding pictures weeks in advance. We also booked Tom for the rehearsal dinner, where he got some great photogenic moments of our family and friends. He captured many wonderful moments throughout our entire wedding and reception, with different locations and lightings all looking great in the photos we received after. He was timely in providing us our photos to select for a wedding album and he offered us some fantastic examples of what he could via photo editing and album design. Got a great photographer on very short notice!

I contacted Tom the Monday before my Friday Seattle courthouse wedding. I was so happy to find out that he was available! It was obvious that Tom had done quite a few weddings at that courthouse. It was so nice being able to talk to him and know what to expect when we showed up. We arrived at the courthouse at the time he recommended and were the first couple called that day. Tom arrived promptly and was able to get several shots before we were called into the judge’s chambers. It was a rainy April day, so we did the ceremony inside the jury selection room. What a view! Afterward we braved the drizzle and went on to the rooftop deck to get some more spectacular photos with the city behind us. My husband and I now have some wonderful pictures of our ceremony and our friends/family who were with us that day! Tom was so easy to work with!

Organized, communicative, professional

Tom Ellis is an excellent wedding photographer! He is so easy to work! He is communicative, helpful, kind, knowledgeable, and offered good direction to help us create photos to remember a our day. Tom has tons of local knowledge, which was helpful to us as out-of-towners. He offered suggestions for places to take our photos and even gave us some tips for what to see in the city. Tom provided just the right amount of guidance for us. It never felt like he was in the way, but we never felt at a loss for how to position ourselves-- it was a perfect balance.

Tom is great! His knowledge, flexibility, and of course beautiful photos are definitely key aspects of his service. The required investment in his services is also very reasonable.

Tom Ellis Wedding Photography

Tom —to say the least was WONDERFUL! He was professional without being stuffy or making us feel uncomfortable on our special day! He went ABOVE and BEYOND regarding what he agreed to do for us. He didn’t make us feel bad about our cut throat budget or that our cross country elopement changed location. He is a “go with the flow” kind of photographer while getting the best possible pictures. Tom is the best!

We were so happy to have Tom as the photographer for our wedding weekend and our pictures turned out incredible!

Tom worked with us (and around the weather) to capture all the shots we wanted, and also spotted tons of other opportunities along the way. It's 100% true that weddings pass by in a blur, and it’s impossible to be everywhere at once. I knew that going in, so I made a point of soaking in as much as I possibly could and don’t at all feel like I missed out on anything important, but it was still so much fun to look through Tom’s pictures after the fact and see that he had captured several great moments that I didn’t see live, like our ring bearer turning around halfway down the aisle so he could throw flower petals from his sister’s flower girl basket.

We loved working with Tom throughout the entire process, and cannot recommend him highly enough!

Best Wedding Photographer!

Tom was amazing during the entire process. My wife and I were trying to plan as much of our wedding on our own as possible, but we had no clue on what to do. Tom was the first person we hired and we couldn't have made a better choice. He's been in the wedding game for so long he was able to run us through all the steps needed to achieve a perfect wedding, and was able to recommend what to do and what to avoid.
He was very professional and was able to capture every special moment on film we needed. He made the whole process as fun and enjoyable as possible and we couldn't be happier with Tom as our wedding photographer. If you want someone who loves what they do and has many many years of experience in wedding photography, Tom is the man for the job!

If we could we would give Tom 6 stars. Tom's experience and knowledge of our venue helped create many beautiful and memorable photographs of our wedding day. Our initial plan for photographs did not include leaving the venue for any of the shots; but Tom's proposal of spending time at Volunteer Park prior to our ceremony was a wonderful idea, and he ended up providing some great shots of us there in the park. Tom was awesome to work with! He is very responsive over email, easy-going and fun to take pictures with, and most importantly took awesome pictures! His pricing was also much more competitive than most photographers we looked at, which is definitely a good bonus. I whole-heartily recommend him as a wedding photographer.

We hired Tom for our June wedding and he was fantastic. What we liked the most about him is that he was really good at giving us directions regarding the poses and types of photos to take since we were clueless.

He was also great at communicating with us and always replied to our questions within the day.

Overall we really recommend Tom as he has a great eye and is awesome to work with.

Tom was wonderful to work with! We had our wedding in February at Russell's Loft in Bothell, and with their nice venue combined with Tom's wonderful photography it was just a terrific day!

Tom was quick to respond to our initial inquiry, and helped us with whatever questions we had prior to the wedding. Throughout the wedding day Tom was very engaging and helpful (as we were nervous!), and guided us through the day not just with great photos but also with preparation. Without Tom being there, I would never have gotten my bow tie on!

Tom is very kind and professional. His packages vary to suit your need, and his prices are very reasonable as the one that we ended up choosing was perfect for us. I couldn't recommend Tom enough!

We hired Tom for a small wedding on very short notice. He was great to work with and made everything really easy for us. We had a small morning puja at the Bothell Hindu temple followed by a ceremony at the court house. My wife and I aren’t from Seattle so it was very helpful to have someone with experience covering weddings in this area. We definitely recommend Tom for weddings and other special occasions!

Tom was incredible! My (now) wife and I had our wedding on fairly short notice, meaning that we needed to get everything together very quickly. Tom was incredibly helpful, professional, positive, and friendly- he was extremely flexible and his experience showed in just about everything that he did- he had great recommendations for places where we could take photos, what sort of shots we might want to consider getting, etc.

He REALLY shined when the day came, as well- our guests loved him, he managed to be both there for every great photo opportunity and never in the way, and the photos themselves were amazing. HIGHLY recommended.

My wife and I loved working with Tom for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. Tom immediately made everyone in the whole bridal party feel comfortable and like we could just enjoy the day. His skill with working with silhouettes especially in nature was phenomenal and we will treasure our photos forever. From the first phone call to receiving our beautiful wedding album, and everything in between, my husband and I couldn’t have been happier working with Tom! He was so easy to work with from the engagement session to the day of the wedding. We had purchased his Collection Four package because our wedding fell on NYE, so I wanted to have him for hair/makeup and through midnight. It was worth every penny. One thing that struck me while working with Tom is how much I felt like I was working with a friend of the family instead of a complete stranger. His photography is beautiful and he is very particular about the shots, as well as making sure YOU are happy with the shots. There were many times where he came up to us after a shot to show the picture to us on his camera. For our engagement session he made sure to take many different photos at our two different locations, and his direction (since we weren’t sure how to pose a lot of the time) was great and not overbearing. Leading up to the rehearsal dinner and wedding he was great at communicating and giving any advice when needed. At our rehearsal dinner we were in a pretty small restaurant (seated about 30) and Tom was great about getting around everyone in a way that seemed like he wasn’t really there and was about to capture that special evening for us. Throughout the entire wedding day Tom was AMAZING! He honestly acted as another day-of coordinator in my mind – he took pictures that day from 8:30am to 1am! He was very great about rolling with our LONG timeline and working with our actual day-of coordinator for the event (Lake Union Café), as well as our DJ who MC’d, to make sure everything was going smoothly and that we were happy with everything that was happening. He was great about getting photos that he knew would be important to us and on the list, as well as corralling us for certain photo ops which I am now so thankful for! Tom Ellis was really funny, engaging, and professional. My husband and I had a wonderful time with him and we are looking for other opportunities to have him photograph us, haha. He definitely knew what he was doing, and he interacted exceptionally well with everyone else at our wedding and reception. He made the process of getting wedding photos seamless and he integrated that into our most amazing day in such a professional manner. Tom is literally amazing. Meaning that we are amazed by the photographs we got back from our wedding. He caught the most fantastic images of our first dance including a perfectly framed image of the dip/kiss at the end of our dance and we didn't even tell him we were doing a choreographed dance. We had a morning (10:30am) ceremony so we really had the opportunity to see his artistic talents with lighting that made the morning/ceremony seem as though it were smiled upon by the heavens. I've never felt beautiful in any photograph taken of me until I got our pictures back from Tom. Beyond the fact that we got amazing photographs, Tom was a joy to work with. He is spot on and just a fun and friendly individual. My husband hates having his picture taken and he even had to admit to me that it was fun to do pictures with Tom. We were originally thinking we wouldn't get a photographer for our wedding as we have a couple friends/family members that are handy with cameras, but I'm so glad we decided to get Tom instead. He is well worth every penny he very reasonably charges for his services. We planned long distance and I'm an annoying logical person so I was very happy with the way his website actually has answers to many of the common (and less common) wedding photography questions. He is also incredibly helpful and responsive if we had any questions not covered by his website. It truly was a pleasure having him there and we will be forever grateful to him for capturing our day.

My partner and I are from North Carolina and visited Seattle for our engagement. I contacted Tom a few weeks before our trip, and he helped make our proposal easy and stress free. I proposed to my partner at Chihuly Garden and Glass, and Tom hid in the garden as I proposed. It was a special moment, and we're so glad he helped us catch it. After our proposal, we did a one-hour photo shoot around the garden and park, and Tom was very knowledgeable about spots for photos. Tom is a fantastic, highly skilled photographer. He is extremely friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He knows how to work with a couple, or a whole wedding party to make the most of the environment and the people. After a couple of meetings with Tom my wife and I felt like we had established a very good relationship and we could not wait for our shoots. Our engagement shoot was tons of fun. Tom kept it fun and exciting, but knew exactly where to go and how to direct us for each background. Tom also has lots of great ideas for where to do shoots, so even if you don’t know the area very well, Tom can help out big time. He was also excited to share some of his vendor contacts with us, and offered to help us out with any other aspects of our wedding that he may have some knowledge in. We also felt like his pricing was very reasonable and that we got every penny’s worth and then some.

Tom did an amazing job for our wedding, and I couldn’t recommend him enough. Not only are the photos fantastic, but Tom was very easy to work with as well. We had Tom as our photographer for our wedding in April, we were completely happy with him, he is a 5 star professional photographer, since the beginning we were able to contact him very easily and he always answered our mails very fast even in Sundays! We have a previous meeting with him and he gave us many new ideas and he also listened our ideas. In the day of the wedding, he came on time and he was everywhere taking pictures, he was working without much resting for 6 hours, we were very impressed! We ended up having more than 600 amazing pictures. We definitively recommend Tom as a photographer for weddings and any other social event, you will be happy with his services.

We flew in from Minneapolis to get married at Snoqualmie Falls in Washington. We reached out to Tom for photography services about two months prior to the wedding. We were immediately impressed with his welcoming demeanor and enthusiasm for our forthcoming wedding. Upon arrival, Tom found some great places for candid photography, prior to the ceremony. It was a lot of fun! He also took some great shots for us during and after the ceremony, going beyond the time we had originally allocated. Tom is great to work with and is an excellent photographer. We had a very small courthouse wedding, and we were very glad to have Tom as our photographer. Tom was responsive to our inquiries: he got back to us right away when we asked about his availability, and since we only needed a photographer for an hour or two, he offered a very reasonable package. Before the wedding day he checked whether we had any special requests and gave us a few tips and reminders. He was familiar with weddings at the courthouse, and on the day itself he was the one keeping us informed about what was going on. Tom was also very friendly and easy to work with, and he got along very well with our guests. Tom worked well with our judge, too, and we were able to take a lot of photos during and after our ceremony. Even though we were are not very good at posing, and the weather was rainy and stormy, Tom was patient and captured some very nice moments for us. We and our families are very happy with the results!

Tom was great to work with! He was on top of everything and made sure that we were prepared for our wedding day, and that everything would run smoothly. We now have hundreds of wonderful photos and a gorgeous photo book for us to look at and remember that special day. The only time we had any issues was always on our end. Tom is an amazing photographer. My daughter and I went to Seattle for a vacation and decided to do her senior pictures there, Without knowing anyone there, we choose Tom Ellis Photography and we could not have been happier. He was patient, professional, funny, and made the entire experience a very memorable one for my daughter. He recommended a few places and we went to both. He worked with my daughter, asking what she liked and he threw in a few of his own ideas. I would highly recommend him for any type of photo shoot!! He shot over 200 photos and we had a hard time narrowing it down. GREAT photographer!

If you are looking for a professional photographer, look no further. Tom is amazing. His wedding package which includes engagement photos, 8 hours of photographer service on the wedding day, and he puts together a wedding album is the best value around. You get a printed copy of every photo he takes and even a digital copy. Tom made our day very special and I couldn't have asked for a better photographer.

We hired Tom to take both our engagement & wedding photos for us. We didn't know really know exactly which shots would look the best, but Tom has a great eye and was very patient in guiding and positioning us, allowing him to capture many different angles and unique shots. We were married September 2016 at Georgetown Ballroom, and Tom assisted in selecting many action and set shots near the railroad tracks, under the freeway overpass, as well as throughout the venue. We have been extremely satisfied with the quality of the photos, and they truly show the depth of his vast experience and talent. Even though Tom works alone, he had the amazing knack to know exactly where to be at the right time to catch some exceptional memories. The creative design and quality of our physical photo book far surpassed our expectations. Tom is very professional and responsive to queries. If you need an outstanding photographer you can trust for your wedding or event, I highly recommend Tom Ellis Photography.

My husband and I chose Tom Ellis to be our wedding photographer based on the great customer service we received from the initial email correspondence through the selection and editing process of our photos after the wedding. He was prompt, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. He had a wonderful portfolio of his work for us to see when we met in person and his rates are in line with the industry standards though the quality of photography is much higher. We can't recommend Tom highly enough! My fiance and I decided to elope, wanting to avoid the stress and complications that come with a traditional wedding, and Tom was the perfect photographer for us. He was readily available and quick to respond to any of our questions while we were planning our day. He was creative and collaborative during our photography session, actively seeking our opinions and requests while providing a fantastic amount of ideas for poses and backgrounds. And the final pictures that he provided to us were simply beautiful, perfectly capturing the uncomplicated joy of our courthouse wedding!

If you're considering Tom for your wedding, for some other event, we recommend you do! It will be the easiest, and best, decision you make!

My husband and I used Tom Ellis Photography a few years back for out wedding. He was the most personable photographer we met during our interviews as well as having a wonderful portfolio and reasonable rates. The day of our wedding he proved invaluable by giving advice on timing and ideas for great photographs. We loved final work, getting more than 1000 printed pictures in addition to the digital copies. Even now seven years later we have some many of his gorgeous pictures around the house making for great memories of the day. We worked with Tom again this year for a family photo shoot. Part of the wedding photography package meant we had a free first child photo shoot. By this time we had two kids and he was so gracious to do a family session. Amazing photographs again despite our oldest having only one goal of wanted to play at the playground! We highly reccomend Tom of Tom Ellis Pgotigraphy for your wedding or event. My husband and I chose to get married at the courthouse. Although the event would be small and intimate, I wanted to make sure I recorded the moment for posterity. So, I began the internet search for a photographer and came across Tom's work. I noticed that he has a large and diverse portfolio, with photos that seem to capture the joy of weddings. It was also clear that he was used to taking photos at the Seattle Municipal Court for weddings of our size. So, I sent an email. I am so glad I did.

From the moment of first contact, I knew we were in good hands. The timeline was short and the request specific. Tom was very responsive, both in email and over the phone. He had a lot of helpful information about the process at the Seattle Municipal Court and suggested a few locations on Queen Anne that I had yet to see (but, when I checked them out, realized how perfect would be).

On the day itself, Tom was pure professionalism. But, we also had a lot of fun. He was unobtrusive during the talk with judge and the ceremony, capturing lots of precious moments. The shots he took of me and my husband and of my attendants and family at the courthouse and at Kerry Park are beautiful. His diligence in getting a lot of different shots and backgrounds was appreciated.

The turnaround was very quick. We could see the photos online within two days. Within a week we had the digital files and the photos themselves. Tom did an excellent job in capturing us, our friends and family, and the love and joy of the day. Plus, his prices are incredibly fair for the amount of work he expends on his clients behalf. I have enjoyed working with him. Now, I need to see if he does baby photos!

In other words, I highly recommend Tom Ellis and his work.

Tom Ellis did a wonderful job on our wedding photos. We planned everything by phone or email because we live out of state and he was very responsive while communicating with us. He had some great ideas for the best wedding shots around the city. He was very easy to work with and our pictures turned out beautiful!

We hired Tom for our wedding photography. He was great from day 1, very responsive as we were planning the wedding and very patient as well since we kept changing the details and format of the wedding. He had very nice suggestions about when and how to take photos and took really good candid photos too. He was also very open to ideas as our wedding format was unique and Indian style. We hired Tom Ellis to do our wedding photos in June 2015 . Tom is very easy going, professional and accommodating; we were very pleased with the pictures that came back both for the engagement photo session as well as the wedding photos. There are so many things you have to worry about for weddings, it was nice to not have to worry, we knew we were in good hands. More than one guest didn't realize that we had a wedding photographer at the event because Tom was so good at not getting in the way throughout the event while not missing important moments.

We love our wedding album that Tom put together for us, it captured the spirit of our wedding well and tells the story of a wonderful evening we will cherish forever.

Tom is amazing! He took photos for three days of wedding events in a row (he is part of my husband's family [mine now too!]) and never once did his professionalism or the quality of his photos let up. He was so knowledgable and full of great advice, but was also willing to work with us to photograph some unconventional situations. He was great at helping us structure our wedding day so that we would get all the photos we wanted without missing out on valuable time at the reception. My husband and I are so thankful that we chose Tom Ellis as our wedding photographer. The process of planning a wedding is overwhelming and stressful. Tom's experience and professionalism made it easy to completely trust him with documenting our wedding day. After a couple meetings and having engagement pictures taken with Tom, we felt confident that he understood our expectations. Like most people, we have never pictures taken. Tom recommended engagement pictures as a way to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. He was definitely right! It truly made us feel more at ease on our wedding day. We wanted to enjoy our wedding and not spend an extended period of time taking posed pictures. Tom's style fit us perfectly as he likes to tell the story of the wedding by including all of your guests and candid pictures. After the formal pictures were completed, Tom let us celebrate with our friends and family and didn't miss a moment. The pictures were stunning. With Tom's years of experience he is familiar with so many venues, including ours at Kiana Lodge. Tom worked as a solo photographer and managed to get shots of our ceremony from 360 degrees without my husband or I even noticing. I even trusted his vision and climbed a rather huge tree stump near the water where he captured my absolute favorite picture. He even captured the spontaneous and hilarious "father, father dance". My family is still laughing about that dance.
My family and friends continue to comment on the quality of pictures and professionalism of Tom. Thank you again, Tom. Our wedding was perfect and we can relive those moments through the hundreds of treasured pictures.

Tom was great! He was recommended to us by a friend and when I saw examples of his work I knew he would be able to do a great job, not just chronicling our special day but creating beautiful works of art (I absolutely love the way he isolated a color in a few of the photos). Tom was very professional and definitely knew what he was doing. When we said we wanted to do the photos before the ceremony so as to not keep our guests waiting, he knew of some absolutely gorgeous gardens just a few minutes away from our venue that turned out to be the perfect place. Even though it was a grey, overcast day, Tom's photos were vibrant and beautiful. He was great at wrangling us all into position (including 7 kids in my wedding party!) without being bossy or rude. He was patient in reminding us with instructions for better photos. he was friendly and un-intrusive yet managed to capture each moment throughout the day. I love going back through old photo albums and knew for me, that the pictures were going to be at the top of my list in importance and Tom delivered! If photos are one of the more important things to you, then I would highly recommend Tom.

Tom was a wonderful photographer! He made us feel stress free, was very helpful and had great ideas. We loved the photos and he was fast with them. Tom was absolutely wonderful to work with for our wedding. We truly enjoyed working with Tom Ellis. He did both our engagement photos and our wedding photos. His imagination and creativity were fun to experience during our engagement session. He has a great eye for creating the perfect setting!

And we can’t say enough good things about his work on our wedding day. I did my research strictly online, looked at several websites of Seattle’s best wedding photographers and I knew immediately my husband John and I wanted to work with Tom Ellis. I read and viewed everything on his website and his style appealed to both John and me. Tom captured our special moments with such great skill & professionalism. From the day we were looking for photographers, Tom was one of the first people we talked to and felt we didn't need to look any further. He was very welcoming and helpful and put our nerves at ease. The months following, he was very good at email correspondence, and phone calls, and was there if we had any questions. As the day finally arrived, Tom picked us up at our hotel, and we began our photography session. He took us to all of our locations we had requested and the pictures were more beautiful and picturesque than we could have ever imagine. Tom was wonderful. From the very beginning he was very professional--incredibly timely with his communications, very flexible with meeting up for photos, and very easy to talk with regarding his services and what we could expect from him. After the first meeting I knew that I would not have to worry about anything in regards to our experience with him and he followed through in every respect.
