We went with the William Penn Inn after inquiring at around 80 venues and touring 5 locations. It had the best value out of the ones we researched. When we toured, we fell in love with it. The ballroom and chandeliers are beautiful, and the history of the location was an added bonus. There is a large dance floor as well as enough space for dining tables around it. The wedding coordinators, Darlene and later Tiffany and Shaula, did such wonderful jobs at helping our dream wedding come true. They were attentive to our wants and always looking out for our best interests. They were also thorough and on top of the logistics. Every time we called, they were very informative and instilled confidence that our wedding would be successful. This was important for us since we were planning from out of state. The day of went without issues, and the banquet manager Lisa made sure everything ran smoothly. She also checked in at the right frequency to make we were happy and had food and drinks. The staff as a whole were also incredibly kind and delivered top-level service. The bridal suite was great and the groomsmen enjoyed getting ready there. The food was exceptional. Everyone was raving about both the entrees as well as the delicious pound cake! We have personally recommended this venue to our friends who are engaged. Beyond Excellent!
Cathy at the William Penn Inn was excellent. Flexible, fun, professional and honest. Gorgeous venue. Delicious all inclusive features to include cocktail hour, entree, desserts, cake and open bar. Taste testing was amazing full meals. Gorgeous gardens to marry in and two venues inside for celebration (the slightly more expensive one was more than gorgeous). I did a lot of DIY with table centerpieces and little giftts and posters. They set it all up as requested. Their linen and china was beautiful. Bridal Room gorgeous with awesome snacks and champagne. Price amazing for what you get. She even boxed up the meals for the few that couldn’t make it. All we had to do was hire a DJ, Officiant and photographer which a list was provided. Perfect Wedding!

Wedding of my dreams!!!
I couldn’t recommend the WPI more for as a wedding venue. Our day was absolute perfection! From the staff to the food to the grounds, it was everything I could have dreamt of… and SO much more!! Darlene was attentive to every detail of our vision and ensured that the day would be beautiful and was it ever!!! Honestly, there is not a single thing that wasn’t amazing. The William Penn Inn was an 11 out of 10!!!!

From the first day we walk into the door we where greeted with a warm smile. Our coordinator Darlene and Kathy took great care of us.
Our coordinator Darlene was absolutely wonderful. She help from beginning to the end it was a smooth process. The tasting was great and they pay attention to small details witch is absolutely essential to have great event. Our guests love the atmosphere and the food. From cocktail's hour to desert everything on the menu tasted real good. the staff was pleasant and courteous to work with. The Best Venue!
The price was amazing for the quality of food, service, and overall value! The venue was gorgeous and so well taken care of. The bridal suite was gorgeous and unlike other places, wasn’t a limited amount of time to be in it! Darlene was the best coordinator to work with, and she picked up every phone call and answered even the simplest questions I had! The whole team made the day a complete breeze and so perfect!

Fabulous venue!
A fabulous venue for both your ceremony and reception. The gardens were beautiful for pictures. The food was spectacular and the cake was included in the price. The staff, from event coordinator to wait staff was extremely professional and helpful every step of the way. Our wedding day coordinator was amazing and really made every last detail was perfect.
Our wedding at William Penn Inn was a dream come true! We got married in September of 2023 and worked primarily with Darlene. She is such a joy and has such a kind heart! We loved working with her and she became our friend throughout the whole planning process. She answered every question we had and was quick to respond. We had a wonderful meal tasting at the restaurant a few months before the big day. Our family was treated so well and we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the special time in our life. Our rehearsal was a fun experience and we enjoyed seeing our vision come to life. We look back on our wedding day so fondly. The timeline was perfect, the food was wonderful and the decor was exactly what we envisioned. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests and it is truly a testament to how special WPI is. Amazing!! The perfect venue!!
William Penn Inn was the a spectacular place to have our wedding ceremony and reception. Darlene Schneider the wedding coordinator did an outstanding job with guiding us through the whole process of our wedding planning and made sure everything went smoothly on our special day. She is so friendly and was helpful in any aspects that we had questions with. The day of our wedding we were so impressed with all of the staff, they went above and beyond with their professionalism and hospitality. All of our guests raved about how delicious the food was!! 10/10 I would recommend the William Penn Inn to anyone looking for a venue. It was both fancy and yet very affordable! Out of all the options we explored, we are so happy we chose this venue. Everything turned out even better than I could have even imagined. Smooth beautiful wedding venue
I highly recommend this wedding venue if you like beautiful classic historical place with great food (it have to be as they’re a restaurant) and working with very helpful and accommodating staff. Literally an one stop shop that provides with details of the wedding that you don’t need to worry about. The best part is the cost, it comes with open bar, cocktail hour, reception hall (we did the carriage ballroom), dinner, wedding cake, bridal suite, overnight stay for the couple (if available), event coordinator that guides you throughout the night, basic centerpieces (honestly the flowers were sooo pretty), table number, cute wall personalize welcome sign, table cloth and setting, indoor ceremony (provided chairs) and plenty of parking for the guest. You don’t have to do much decorations as the place itself is beautiful.
Weddings are super stressful and they made it so easy and fun for me (a bridal with an one year old). I highly recommend this place to anyone!

We cannot recommend the William Penn Inn enough! Cathy was absolutely amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely with responses from the day we requested information to our wedding day a year and a half later. The staff at the WPI were willing to accommodate every single request we had without issue.
On our wedding day, the entire staff went above and beyond to make all of our wedding dreams come true. Everything went so smoothly, the set-up was picture perfect, the breakdown at the end of the night was efficient and they really made sure we felt like guests at our own wedding!
The food and desserts were delicious and guests were raving about it all night long.
We highly recommend the WPI for your wedding day - their all inclusive package makes the wedding planning process a lot less stressful - the staff are professionals and will take care of everything to make sure your day is everything you dreamed it to be!

A perfect evening
Shane and I can never thank Darlene and the rest of the William Penn Inn team enough for making our wedding day absolutely a dream come true. Our original date was for September 2020 and with the pandemic we decided to postpone. WPI was on board with the date change and completely understanding. Darlene was great to work with throughout the planning process and the crazy questions I threw at her. She even helped me through some troubleshooting with other vendors when we postponed. The day of went really well and Darlene was there bright and early with us all the way through to cleaning the bridal suite during the ceremony. Her and Ali were truly amazing and are the best at making couples feel like guests at their own wedding. All of our guests were wowed by the whole evening from the food to the service that was provided. Everyone had an amazing time!Thank you thank you thank you all!

We just got married at the William Penn Inn on 10/22/21🥰 It was so beautiful!! Darlene and Ally did everything and anything to make this day as wonderful and beautiful for us! My husband and I chose the William Penn Inn after just one tour and a gut feeling. We loved it and new we had to have this as our venue. We are so glad we chose it because it was just spectacular! We got married outside on a beautiful day in the garden, which I recommend to everyone💕 their garden is manicured to perfection! The inside banquet halls are absolutely gorgeous with elegance! Our reception at the William Penn Inn was nothing short of amazing. We would select this venue over and over again. You will not be disappointed, in fact, all of your expectations will be exceeded. Darlene (one of the planners) is the best! Informative, thorough, detail-oriented, easy to work with, quick to respond, and most importantly – kind and patient with all of your questions and planning every detail of your day. David (day-of attendant to us at the reception) was so calm, collected, and very attentive towards us during the entire reception. We have received so many compliments from all of our guests about how absolutely delicious all of the food was - cocktail hour, dinner, dessert (everything!) To this day, we are still getting texts from people about how outstanding everything tasted. The night was perfect - everything we dreamed of and more. The food was outstanding, the service was top-notch, and both rooms are beautiful. The building has its own unique and special classic charm that no other venues come close to. We are so grateful that we selected such an impeccable place of business (which the William Penn Inn TRULY is, on so many levels). My husband and I are so thankful we chose the William Penn Inn for our wedding. They were amazing throughout the whole process, especially when we had to postpone due to COVID. Cathy was fantastic to work with during planning and was so easy to communicate with. Day of, we worked with Karen, who made sure my husband and I were taken care of the whole night.
Our wedding day seemed to run flawlessly from our end. We did not need to set up or take down anything. Everything was taken care of by the WPI. We brought our own champagne glasses and cake knife, which were engraved with our names and the WPI made sure to clean them and have them ready for us to take at the end of the night. The food was AMAZING! We have received so many compliments about the food!
Overall, the day was a dream and we could not be happier with our experience at the William Penn Inn!

Kate and the William Penn Inn floral team are amazing!
Working with Kate and the floral team at the William Penn Inn (Flower Shoppe) was such a highlight of planning my 2020 microwedding. I am so grateful my wedding planner let me know that the William Penn Inn's floral team can also handle florals for outside events not held at the inn. Kate went above and beyond what her job description requires, even meeting me at my venue to survey the space to better put together a plan and quote for our wedding. We met again in person a month before the wedding, where Kate showed me samples of what my flowers would look like, including a bouquet, centerpieces and decor. I was truly blown away by the time and effort she put in before our wedding even happened to make sure the day itself would be beautiful.
I was also impressed by the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe's competitive pricing -- I did a lot of florist research before choosing Kate and her team, and while of course, their talent won me over, price played a big role too. I found the prices to be extremely fair, and Kate was happy to work within our set budget.
When the pandemic changed our wedding plans, Kate jumped into action to create a smaller package that still helped bring my vision for the day to life. The day of the wedding Kate's team assembled our floral arch, greenery and candles flawlessly. My bouquet was beautiful, as were the flowers for other members of the bridal party.
We can't wait to work with Kate and the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe team again next year for our vow renewal and reception.

I just got married at the William Penn Inn, and let me tell you it was the BEST experience working with them. My guests cannot stop talking about it and how they have “never seen such beautiful flowers” or “that was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding”. Darlene is the event coordinator and is a rockstar. One of my favorite people ever and she made planning a wedding in 3.5 months seem easy. Kate is the in house florist and completely exceeded my expectations with the flowers- to say she is talented is an understatement. The bouquets and tables were stunning. She is the best of the best. We had the Philadelphia station which had mini hoagies, cheesesteaks, crab fries, tasty cakes, and hot pretzels as a late night food option. I highly recommend doing this. The food was delicious and all the guests left with full bellies!!!!!! I have only positive things to say about the William Penn Inn and their staff, and I almost wish I was getting married again just so I could hang out with them some more! Do yourself a favor and get married here- you will be doing what I’m doing now and writing a review reminiscing on how perfect everything was at your wedding!!!!!

Excellent from start to finish
When we went for our first walk through of William Penn Inn, we sat in the parking lot after and tried to decide if it was "the one." A woman knocked on our car window to ask if we would take a picture of her and her husband because it was their 5th anniversary and they got married there. They gushed about how perfect everything was and we immediately made up our minds to get married there. The fact that everything is in-house, including the florist and the cake, really made it easy to plan. We also had a lot of help from our amazing coordinator, Caryn. At the ceremony we were pampered, the room was beautifully decorated and the food was SO GOOD! As a non-traditional couple, we were unsure about a ballroom wedding, but it was so perfect and our families and friends are still raving about it. Best decision ever!

We could not be more pleased with our decision to choose the William Penn Inn as our venue to celebrate our marriage. The WPI is a well-oiled machine. From start to finish, every detail, big and small was perfect. They made wedding planning as painless as possible. We could not have envisioned a more perfect day. They exceeded our expectations. We changed our mind multiple times throughout the process and they never wavered; the staff of WPI was nothing but accommodating and professional. It's a one-stop shop. Your venue, bakery, and flowers all from one place. They work together flawlessly and produce nothing less than the best. I would recommend WPI a million times over.

Our Perfect Wedding
We were able to plan exactly the wedding we dreamed of thanks to the William Penn Inn. With enough details included in their wedding package to help us not fret about tiny details, and Kate, the Inn House florist, we barely had to look outside of William Penn Inn to fill in any details. For the vendors we did need to bring in, they provided a great list of recommendations who we also loved! Everybody was patient with our hundred emails back and forth as we stressed about every tiny detail, and were able to craft everything that we dreamed of and all of our guests are still telling us how amazing everything was.

Best Wedding I Could Ever Have
My husband and I got married in late September (technically late summer but in my heart it's early fall), and we had the most beautiful ceremony and reception. Everyone at the Inn was so helpful and so easy to work with (particular thanks and kudos to Cathy, Darlene and Caryn, as well as Kate in the WPI Flower Shop), even when our guest numbers changed at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. I will never forget how perfect everything was. They made everything so easy for us, including letting us drop off our extras (ceremony sign, signature drink sign, sweetheart table decorations, etc.) early and then setting everything up for else. Plus, having the flower shop, bakery and restaurant in house was so convenient. I had the most beautiful flowers and cake, not to mention how delicious our cake and dinner was! I am getting hungry again just thinking about my crab cakes, wedding cake, and those caprese skewers at the cocktail hour. Plus, my guests LOVED the mac & cheese bar and crepe stand that we decided to get as add-ons. We could not have asked for a better night nor better weather. Of course, the William Penn Inn doesn't control the weather but they might as well have given how well everything all fit together. Thank you!!

Simply perfect
I simply cannot say enough kind words about our wedding experience at The William Penn Inn in September. My husband and I were blown away with the level of professionalism and service we were provided with during the entire wedding planning process and day of. Cathy, Caryn (the day-of-coordinator), and Kate from the floral shop made sure that our vision was brought to light and that every aspect of our wedding was perfect. Every last detail was more than we could have ever imagined, and people are still raving about the food! Thank you, William Penn Inn for an experience we will never forget!

The William Penn Inn was the greatest! Every person we dealt with was professional and always made themselves available for any and all questions we had throughout the entire planning process. They do it all from the cake to the flowers so you don’t have to worry about anything the day of. I highly recommend the William Penn Inn for your big day.

Perfect Wedding Reception!
We knew from past experiences that we were in good hands when we booked our wedding at the William Penn Inn but everyone really went above and beyond our expectations and we are so grateful! Our wedding day at the William Penn Inn was absolutely perfect, down to the smallest detail! We first met with Caryn when we got engaged and she did a wonderful job explaining the package and walking us through everything that was included. Our food tasting was probably our favorite part of the wedding planning process! The food was absolutely amazing. Cathy and Darlene were great in answering all of our questions during the entire wedding process. Kate did an absolutely amazing job with all of the flowers! All of the bridal bouquets and boutineers arrived at the house even earlier than we requested which immediately put us at ease. The bouquets and all of the centerpieces were absolutely breathtaking and were exactly what we envisioned! The bouquets looked stunning against the royal blue bridesmaid dresses and my wedding gown! We always pictured an outdoor wedding in the Penn’s Gardens and were temporarily disappointed when we chose to move it into the ballroom due to rainy weather; however, we had the opportunity to see the ballroom set up with all of the draping and flowers before the ceremony and it was absolutely perfect! The flowers and chandeliers made the room look so elegant. The bakery department did a phenomenal job on our wedding cake! It looked so beautiful and tasted amazing!!! The staff at William Penn is awesome!Everyone was so friendly and accommodating during the entire process. Our event manager, Robin, did a wonderful job at both the rehearsal dinner and wedding. She checked in with us often to make sure we had everything we needed and was just so pleasant to be around! Her staff was also wonderful. I know there was another event in the ballroom in the afternoon and it was a tight turnaround, especially since we moved the ceremony inside but they did such a great job and were so friendly and responsive to our guests. Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives and we’re so happy that we chose the William Penn Inn for our venue!

Wonderful service, beautiful location!
We had our daughter’s wedding reception at the William Penn. We arrived at the event to find everything set up beautifully, the flowers were wonderful, the tables and favors arranged exactly as I asked, etc. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. I didn’t have to worry about anything. The reception was flawless and everyone said how great the food and atmosphere was. Amazing!!

William Penn Inn Floral Shop
Little did we know the William Penn Inn Floral Shop provides flowers for events outside of their own venue. If you are looking beautiful flowers for a wedding, contact them! To Kate and her team- thank you so very much for the beautiful flowers for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding this past weekend! The arrangements were gorgeous! I can’t even tell you how many people asked me who the florist was. We really appreciate the detail they put into it and the customer service approach to their work. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an event florist!

Beautiful Place for Our Special Day!
This venue is ideal. They do practically everything including your flowers and cake. They make the planning process seamless. You know the food will be amazing if you've been to the restaurant! The William Penn Inn is beautiful as is, but if you want to add anything (decorations, photos, etc) they set it all up for you! Thanks to Caryn, Cathy, and Dar! We had the most perfect day!

Great wedding venue!
The William Penn Inn was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. We had both our ceremony and reception there and everything was absolutely perfect. Caryn was our contact up to and including the day of the wedding, and she was always very friendly, professional, and happy to answer any and all questions we had. On the day of the wedding, she checked in several times to make sure we were happy with everything. A huge plus of the William Penn Inn for us was that they have on-site floral and bake shops, so we didn't have to hire a separate florist and bakery. It really took the stress out of planning the wedding. Oh, and the food is really fantastic - we had many guests compliment us on that as well!

We Loved It Here
The WPI offers so much more than I ever knew. I’m so glad we chose to have our wedding here. We had a perfect day for our garden wedding. Both the event and banquet staff were amazing, especially Darlene and Robin. Kate in the flower shop is also wonderful. The garden was gorgeous, the flowers were perfect, and we got so many compliments on the amazing food! It’s a wonderful place.

So glad we chose WPI!
We got married at William Penn Inn last weekend and it was fantastic. The staff made the whole process seamless from when we booked the venue in January until the wedding in July. They were prompt on responding to questions and they have so many weddings there, they have it down to a science. While we were in the planning process, our wedding coordinator needed to switch us to another coordinator and it was very easy and no detail was lost in the transition. The day of the wedding, they were great at organizing everything, but also staying "behind the scenes". The wait staff/bartenders/coordinators were all great. Also, the food is fantastic. The guests were raving about the beautiful venue and how the food was delicious! They truly know how to throw a fun party, and I'd recommend them to any of my friends or family!
The William Penn Inn Floral Shoppe is also a great addition to the services they offer at William Penn Inn. It's an in-house florist who is fantastic! Kate really listens to what you want and after showing her a few photos from Pinterest, she made up a mock bouquet and centerpiece to show what she had envisioned for the day. I gave a little feedback for a few different flowers and on the wedding day, the flowers were perfect. She was a true professional and knows how to work with people who have an idea and turn it into a reality. She was always super responsive and updated the contract whenever I made changes so I could see how adding 4 flower girls' baskets changed the total amount due :) So grateful for Kate and everything she did. I highly recommend using William Penn Inn Floral Shoppe if you are getting married at WPI or even another venue. She's fantastic!

Wedding June 15th 2019
Words cannot express how much my now husband and I loved our wedding. Monica made the entire experience less stressful took care of every question and need promptly. Also reccommmended Kate in house florist which made my vision a reality with linen n centerpieces. The cake is made in house and not only did it taste amazing it looked gorgeous. Monica Ganter just went above and beyond in Wedding planning she matched our personality with helping to create our perfect day. My family and friends are still raving about it from food to space and accommodate a large band like go go gadget. Cannot continue to express how perfect it was. Pricing was great running a special when we booked. But in all honesty me and my fiancé went to three other places and would spent a ton more if we decided to not go with Monica or the William Penn Inn. I hope this helps anyone who is planning a wedding. Wedding planning can be really stressful so go with someone who makes it less stressful as. Possible. Thanks you again.

Nothing short of amazing
The William Penn Inn made my wedding SO much easier and less stressful to plan than I had imagined. I can’t stress enough how happy I am to have used them as my ceremony venue, reception venue, cake baker, and florist. Caryn was so helpful throughout the whole process and we got to work with her from when we booked up to the wedding day! I had a million questions and requests and Caryn was always super helpful and responsive with everything. When it came to the actual day, she ran everything so smoothly I was shocked at how little I had to worry about. Kate and the floral team did an amazing job with all of our flowers and she was so kind during the whole process as well. The cake was exactly what I had envisioned and was also the most delicious wedding cake I’ve ever had. If you’re debating on whether or not to book them, you should definitely go for it and you will not be disappointed. Their prices are also very fair in comparison to other venues. All in all, the William Penn Inn made our wedding so amazing and unforgettable!!

Beautiful and Historic Venue
As soon as I got engaged, I knew that I wanted a historic venue for the wedding. I've been going to the William Penn Inn for various special dinners over the years with family, so I already knew that the building is beautiful and the food is fantastic. So they were on our short-list to visit ASAP.
We met with Caryn, who went over the packages and we quickly learned how much of a one-stop-shop they are: in-house catering, baking, and florist! They offer indoor and outdoor ceremonies and have large and small rooms to accommodate any size event. My husband's family is huge, so we knew we'd need the entire ballroom and so we booked both the Surrey and the Carriage Ballrooms. I'm also extremely anxious, and did not want to worry about the weather for an entire year, so we decided up front to do the ceremony indoors. The indoor ceremony in the Carriage Ballroom can take place in front of the stage or the fireplace; we opted for the fireplace, because it's been recently renovated and is absolutely gorgeous.
They have the planning down to a science and will contact you when the time comes for specific decisions to keep you on track. While our main contact was Caryn, we also worked with Shelley and Monica for various planning things, and Robin was our day-of coordinator. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and knowledgeable about our event so they could help us at the drop of a hat. On the day of, Robin had everything running like clockwork, which made it so much easier for us to relax and actually enjoy the day.
Kate is the florist on site, and she was wonderful to work with. I brought a handful of pictures and a vague description of what I wanted, and she turned that small bit of information into perfect floral arrangements. All I said was that I liked shorter and wider centerpieces (as a short person, I value being able to see people across the table!) and organic shapes. When we came to the trial appointment, I had no changes, she'd nailed the vision I had in mind! And when the day of the wedding got closer, she even checked in because the flowers she intended to use to achieve our color scheme seemed to be showing a little off and she wanted to make sure we'd be happy with the color.
And of course the food. Oh my goodness the food is incredible. We went with the lobster & crab imperial salmon, the chicken francaise, and the braised boneless beef short ribs. Everyone we spoke to commented on how the food at our wedding was the best they'd ever had.
I really can't recommend the William Penn Inn enough, it was the perfect venue for our absolutely perfect wedding.

The William Penn Inn is the most remarkable. The staff, especially Monica Ganter, was amazing to work with. She was so organized, professional, knowledgeable, and made our day go so wonderfully. The Flower shop and Kate Marshall was AMAZING to work with. The decor was absolutely fabulous and exactly what I wanted. The food is to DIE for, and the cake was also just amazing. William Penn and their people are fantastic!
Spectacular! The William Penn was amazing. It was beautifully decorated. The food was fantastic. The wait staff had on white gloves and were just amazing. A beautiful wedding experience
The William Penn Inn served as a great wedding venue for us. All of the guests raved about the food too! We ended up having to have our ceremony inside due to heavy rain, but the ceremony was still beautiful. We got so many compliments about the whole thing from start to finish.
Monica was our coordinator and helped me through every single step and question I had. She was always so friendly, supportive, and helpful. She is a big part of what made my experience wedding planning so much fun (instead of stressful)! Robin helped us on the big day and made sure everything was carried out the way we had planned.
Also, Kate at the flower shoppe was phenomenal too. I was so happy with my bouquet that she created, as well as our table centerpieces. She went above and beyond for us all along the way. If you’re looking for a florist with a great personality and the perfect eye for detailed touches, she’s the one.

To start, Monica was amazing in answering all of our questions and explaining options. The William Penn Inn was so accommodating to our formal wedding with some of our own flair (Star Wars, beanies, non-traditional first dance).
On the day of our event, Robin, our coordinator was amazing. She easily communicated with our photographer and dj. Robin is the reason we were able to skip a rehearsal of the ceremony and still look great.
The food was amazing (including the Mac and cheese bar my fav). Not one person had a negative comment to say. There is not one thing I would have changed about the venue, food, and service I received from all of the wonderful people at the William Penn Inn.

Thank you for making our daughters wedding perfect!
From start to finish, the William Penn was the perfect wedding venue. Our wedding coordinator, Caryn Allen, was with us from the moment we booked our package until the last guest left the wedding reception, and every step in between. Caryn made it so easy for us to take care of every last detail for a perfect wedding. She thought of everything and walked us through from start to finish. She was always available for questions and responded in a very timely manner for everything. She was so pleasant and easy to work with, which really makes a difference when you’re planning such a special “once in a lifetime” event. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and elegantly appointed. Perfect photo ops everywhere. We were given the bridal suite to get ready and it made for a perfect spot for dressing and photos. The food was all delicious from the appetizers to the desserts. The servers were professional and courteous. The room looked beautiful and the dance floor is big enough for a large crowd. We also used Penn florist for our flowers and they were so accommodating and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it to be. The best place you could have your event
From start to finish WPI gets 5 stars. The ease of everything is just mind blowing. I got married here 10/19/18. Monica answered any crazy question I had quickly and eased all my anxiety. Everything day of went PERFECTLY. Collen made sure everything went smoothly. The food was phenomenal. All my guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. I was able to be stress free and have the best night of my life. I HAD FUN and enjoyed my day to the fullest.

Awesome-The best
As the bride's mother, all I can say is awesome. From Monica Ganter's first meeting with me, my husband, daughter and new son-in-law, when we were treated to sample pastries, through all of the planning meetings, and the wedding itself-the best. Cathy S, Florist Kate Marshall and Robin Clark, Banquet Supervisor all made t run like clockwork. Our entire experience was wonderful and every guest and the bride and groom were thrilled. This was a total package deal with planner, cake alcohol, table floral arrangement and more food than anybody could eat. The food selections for the appetizers and entrees were amazing, so much so it was hard to pick them and the tasting was a wonderful experience. Monica did some add-on desserts when our minimum numbers dropped and the guests loved the zucchini bread take home boxes. There was nothing we would change.

Everything I have ever dreamed of!!
My husband and I got married on December 22nd 2018! It was the MOST magicical wedding I could have ever dreamed of. Something out of a fairytale. From the very start, planning was a breeze because of how much they do on sight (food, flowers, bakery)! That was especially important to me because I was planning from out of state. Caryn Allen was my go-to for every single need or question. She responded quickly and made everything so simple and clear. The entire staff at the William Penn Inn is professional, kind, and dedicated to making their events perfect! Compliments come flooding in from guests about the food, the cake, flowers, and the overall beauty of the place. If I could go back I would do everything exactly the same. Such a magical night!
We are so happy with our decision to choose William Penn Inn for our wedding venue. Everyone with whom we worked was a professional through and through and we always felt heard. We worked with Caryn who was a dream and who made it her mission to make our wedding the most personal and beautiful experience. We got married right after Christmas so the decor was unparalleled. Our guests are still raving about the decorations and the FOOD! The decision to hold our wedding reception at William Penn Inn was the right one and we couldn't be happier!

The Perfect Wedding Reception!
Booking the William Penn Inn for our wedding day was one of the best decisions my husband and I made! From our first meeting with Monica, her and the entire staff made everything so easy for us. It’s clear that they know what they are doing with large events, as they were able to answer all of our questions and requests (almost always with “Sure, no problem!”) And that they thought and planned for things that weren’t even on our radar.
We live about 2 hours away so when looking for a venue we were hoping for a “one stop shop” and the William Penn Inn exceeded our expectations. Monica (the banquet manager) and Kate (the florist) made it so easy to set up and coordinate appointments and they were always responsive to our emails. Both ladies really listened to what we were looking for on our wedding day and worked towards making sure it was exactly what we wanted.
Kate was an amazing florist to work with. As someone that can’t tell a flower from a weed she walked us through the process and created gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces for our wedding day.
Monica guided us through the entire planning process and answered every question promptly and with a smile.
The day of our wedding could not have gone any smoother. Our day of coordinator Karen was fabulous and made sure that everything was taken care of. My husband and I literally had no stress and were able to enjoy every second of our reception. I was expecting to have some element of running around/ tracking people down/ coordinating vendors but I didn’t experience any of that. I truly got to be a guest at my wedding and spend as much time as I wanted on the dance floor!
Besides the second to none service, the food was amazing! We got so many compliments from our guests on how good everything tasted.
Without a doubt we would recommend the William Penn Inn to anyone looking to have a wedding in the Philly suburbs. The staff is incredible and I really can’t emphasize enough how easy it is to plan an event with them. My husband and I had the perfect wedding day thanks to them!

Absolutely amazing
When my now husband and I chose to have our ceremony and wedding at the William Penn Inn we had no idea how much it would exceed our expectations. We had around 115 people attend our wedding. I will start with the outside garden where they hold the ceremony. It is a well-kept spacious garden that looks amazing in pictures. Throughout the planning of our wedding we would have to stop by the venue for meetings and what not and every time we would sneak a peek at the garden area it looked amazing (saw it during winter, spring and our wedding was in the fall). There are also a handful of places in the garden for pictures too. It was very pretty! Then the happy hour took place in the main reception area (and guests could hang out in the hall where there are addition seating and such). I was worried about there being lines at the bar since there were only one, but the bartenders are wonderful and the whole night I did not see the line exceed three people. They had staff bring out hot hors d'oeuvres while the cold hors d'oeuvres (cheeses and such) were in a large table in the middle of the dance floor. Right before the reception everything was cleared. They wasted no time serving dinner at the beginning of the reception and everything was so delicious! Our cake and assorted desserts were also amazing. We opted to get the Philadelphia Station at the end of the night. No one left hungry. Also, I just wanted to throw this part in, I gave a box of decorations that I didn’t know what to do with and the staff there (wish I had specific names) went with it and used it as they felt, and it looked WAY better than anything I could have thought of.
The event specialist, Monica Ganter, was our main contact and worked with us throughout the entire process. I have no idea what I would have done without her! Monica is so nice and helpful. She would always respond to my emails within a day (and I emailed A LOT) and worked around our schedule for in office meetings. Monica was so awesome to work with and made us feel confident that we were on the right track. The florist, Kate Marshall, was also so great to work with! She is so talented, and our centerpieces, bouquets and other flower décor were fabulous. One of my guests must have (hopefully) accidentally took my bouquet home and I loved it so much that I had to order another, so I could dry it out and save it. We also had a day of coordinator, Collin. He made the day go so smoothly. He would round up the party when we needed to do introductions and find my husband and I when it was time to cut the cake and for the bouquet toss. If we needed anything, he was the go-to man and he would get it done. Him and the staff also brought in our outside decorations and brought it inside. At the end of the night things could not have gone any better and this was just the best venue with the best food run by the best staff.

First Class Wedding Venue
Absolutely amazing! Our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed of. Kate, the florist, is truly wonderful! My flowers were gorgeous and she goes up over and beyond! Monica made sure our wedding vision came alive! She is so organized and personable! Miss working with them both! The William Penn Inn is truly magical! Our guests are still raving about its food and ambiance! First class venue!

Amazing experience and service
Our wedding went amazing thanks to the service and food. The team extremely nice and they would get back to me right away with any questions. We had last minute changes and they were able to accommodate all of them. We won’t be living in the area much longer but hope to come back every year for our anniversary dinner.

From the moment we stepped through the doors The WPI was amazing. Monica and Kate were always accommodating, amazing, creative, honest with their suggestions, and made the entire process seamless. Kate and her team were on point with the centerpieces and bouquets. Gorgeous. I can’t say enough about the WPI and the girls and the staff. Robin was great the night of the reception. The grounds are spectacular and well maintained. Just a beautiful setting. The WPI is well maintained and cared for. The food was mouthwatering, the cake was not only beautiful but delicious. The price was all inclusive and a great price point. There are no hidden charges.
I highly recommend the WPI for weddings!!!

My husband and I are absolutely THRILLED with our wedding at William Penn Inn. It honestly could not have been better. We worked with Caryn to help plan our event, and she was great with communication and making sure our ideas were heard. At our wedding Robin was our coordinator and we seriously did not have to worry about a thing. I am still amazed by how the wedding was exactly how I imagined it and pictured it in my head. This is a great venue with outstanding service, delicious food, and a wonderfully organized and talented staff.

Growing up in this area, I always loved the beautiful lights of the William Penn Inn and its surrounding landscape. I remember thinking to myself how amazing it must be to get married there. Well on June 1st, 2018, my dream of being a William Penn bride came true. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams and we could not be happier. To this day, we are both still in shock on how fantastic every aspect truly was. We chose the William Penn Inn because of its all-inclusive catering, bakery, flower department, and day of coordinator. From the beginning, it was extremely easy to work with their banquet department (specifically Caryn), as she responded quickly to my numerous phone calls and emails and would meet with us whenever we needed. Her professionalism and attentiveness was apparent throughout the entire process. We found the same treatment when dealing with the flower department (specifically Kate). She had such creative and beautiful ideas all which we saw come to life on June 1st. The William Penn Inn was created into the most elegant venue on the day of our wedding. The flowers were stunning for the ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception hall. The ceremony décor was gorgeous! The food was absolutely fantastic, our cake was gorgeous, and the open bar was enjoyed by everyone. Our day of coordinator (Colin) with help from others (namely Caryn and Kate), ran our wedding so smoothly and they kept checking in on us to see if we needed anything. My husband and I, our parents, our bridal party, and our guests took care of nothing. We just enjoyed the night to the fullest. I will forever be grateful to the William Penn Inn and its staff. I know so many people had a hand in making our day so very special and we will never be able to thank you all in person, but please know that every day I think about our wedding and every day it puts a smile on my face. We truly did have the wedding of our dreams. Best day ever. Best venue ever. Thank you WP!

Kate Marshall and her team at the William Penn Inn Flower Shop went above and beyond to make my brother’s wedding at The Union League absolutely beautiful. With her creativity and design, she transformed the atmosphere for both the ceremony and reception into an elegant and intimate setting. The floral garlands used on the ceremonial mandap were out of this world. The high and low centerpieces were perfect. I could tell so much personal touch went into their work and Kate just made the whole process so seamless. I highly recommend using them even if your wedding is off premise (which in our case it was!!)

From the first decisions to the wedding day, the William Penn Inn made sure everything went smoothly. Monica was amazing to work with for the planning, and Sue was wonderful the day of! Our recent wedding at The William Penn Inn was nothing short of perfect! Monica and Shelly in the office were fantastic and so easy to work with. Kate in the floral department made everything so easy to plan and created such gorgeous floral arrangements throughout the ceremony and reception. Colin was amazing the day of our wedding, taking care of our every need and making sure every detail of the day was perfect! I cannot say enough wonderful things about The William Penn Inn. Shelley and Monica were exceptional to work with every single step of the way. The ballroom turned out to be more beautiful than we could have ever expected, our guests are still raving about the food (we keep hearing it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding), the staff's attention to detail was impressive, and the building is spotless! They take care of everything for you! They even have their own baker (which, makes a very delicious cake).Every single person we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and extremely professional. Our day was absolutely perfect. We originally were going to have our wedding on a Family members property and are so happy that we changed our mind and decided to have it at the William Penn Inn. It was so nice to have a venue that also has a florist and a bakery everything is included. Shelley made the planning process easy. The bouquets were beautiful and Kate was great to work with. On the day of the wedding our coordinator Robin made sure everything went smoothly. She consistently asked us if we needed anything throughout the evening. I was amazed at how beautiful the cake turned out. We were fortunate that it was a sunny day and were able to have our ceremony in the gorgeous garden. Everything was just perfect!

The William Penn Inn was the perfect place to have my wedding. Caryn, the wedding coordinator was so easy to work with and helped to make my wedding day one I will never forget. I had the ceremony and reception at the William Penn Inn and the outside space for the ceremony was beautiful. The William Penn Inn exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be happier with the way our wedding went — from our first contact with Monica to the day itself coordinated by Colin. Monica was excellent; she answered all of our questions and was incredibly patient in helping us organize and plan our day. She promised that we would feel like guests at our own wedding, and we really, truly did. On our wedding day, Colin ensured that the event flowed perfectly and that we were well cared for. The value we received from The William Penn Inn was beyond worth the price tag. We received compliments about the food, cake, and desserts, and the design of our cake was perfectly executed. It was among my favorite details of the night. Kate’s floral arrangements were perfect, too. The atmosphere of the venue, both inside and out, made for some stunning photography (especially with the Christmas decorations still up!). I’d highly recommend The William Penn Inn to any couple who wants a fantastic wedding without the worry.

We just had our wedding on 3/24/18 and we have nothing but wonderful things to say about the William Penn Inn! Our coordinator (Caryn) was responsive & helpful! The day of my husband and I were treated like royalty (Colin was our maitre d’ the night of & he was marvelous!) And every guest had positive things to say about their meal! Cocktail hors d’voures and pasta station were a big hit, plus top shelf bar during the entire event! We were comfortable with 160 people and still had the entire dance floor. I couldn’t imagine having any more than 170 guests without feeling crammed. We also used the florist for William Penn Inn. Kate was helpful, accomadting & my powers looked beautiful. We used mostly candlelight for our wedding. We also used the Baker & our cake was delicious. But the dessert bar was a huge hit!! Again, we can not be more impressed and thankful for everything the William Penn Inn did to make our day perfect!

It was such an amazing place. Absolutely beautiful & outstanding. The food was great! I liked how we can make our own wedding package. There are so many options and the price are reasonable. The William Penn Inn provided us with seamless service and made our wedding a day to remember. The planning was fun and easy. They made our vision come true. Everything including the ceremony, flowers, and tables were set up beautifully. The food was amazing! The stationary displays were beautiful. The butlered hors d'oeuvre were delicious. The main meal, cake and mini desserts were incredible. All of our guests complimented the food and the servers accommodated their needs and requests. The bartender made great drinks. Our wedding coordinator was very attentive. She gave us food and dessert to take which was unexpected and nice. This gave us the opportunity to enjoy our wedding meal at home. My apologies to the William Penn Inn for this belated review, but I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the venue for the amazing wedding I had in October of 2017. I knew the food would be great having dined at the Inn previously, but the services provided by waitstaff, in-house floral department, and the bakery were amazing. In particular, Monica Ganter in the banquet department was polite, responsive, and organized. She made our planning process a breeze through her prompt replies to e-mail inquiries, and she was so courteous to each and every question we submitted her way. Kate Marshall in the floral department was also a pleasure to work with. She created some beautiful floral designs in line with my vision and navy/marsala/gold color scheme. The bakery did a wonderful job creating a customized navy blue fondant cake based off a picture found on Pinterest. Last but not least, our day-of-coordinator Colin performed his job spectacularly. He made sure all the vendors were setup when and where they needed to be, and was always by our side throughout the reception when we needed him. He gently guided us through the classic hallmark events (cake cutting, first dances, toasts, etc.), but he was always gracious and accommodating, never pushy.
I highly recommend this venue to every other couple! I am the stereotypical Type A personality type and did my part through meticulous planning and scheduling regular follow-ups with every vendor. When it came to my actual wedding day, the staff ensured that each and every carefully plan detailed was executed and that I was most importantly able to relax and enjoy my wedding day.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff were so kind and helpful the day of our wedding, but also during the months leading up to it. And the food was amazing--especially the cake! Will definitely recommend this venue and will definitely come back to visit!

We had an amazing experience! Throughout the wedding night, the wedding coordinator continued to check in with us to see if we needed anything. Cocktail hour was a big hit with the guests. They had such a great selection of food and also the set up was amazing. All the guests enjoyed their meals and commented how much they enjoyed everything. We also got to have brunch the following morning, which was amazing as well. I highly recommended this venue.

What a wonderful day it was. The William Penn Inn made it a perfect day! Working with the team they're heated so easy for us. The day of we had somebody who took care of us, was by her side, making sure we ate, and making sure everything ran on track. The guests enjoyed the day, they raved about the food, and the cake was marvelous. The flowers were also perfect. The colors were vibrant, everything looked beautiful, and we were very pleased. A big thank you to Caryn, Kate, and Robin. You ladies are wonderful! And it was a pleasure working with you!

We never thought about hiring the William Penn as our wedding vendor because we just assumed they would be out of our price range but, at the urge of my now MIL, we were willing to at least sit through a meeting with them to see what they could offer. We were sold by the end of that meeting. The venue is BEAUTIFUL! They have a little outdoor garden with an iron gazebo where we could have our dream outdoor ceremony, there is a florist and bakery on-site to accommodate those needs, and the food is AMAZING! Our package included a wedding cake, a cocktail hour with butlered hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, and a five hour reception (including the cocktail hour). With all of this in mind, you'd think they would cost an arm and a leg but, despite the fact that we visited many inferior vendors, The William Penn Inn ended up being the most cost-effective option. Shelly was phenomenal in assisting with the planning as we currently live in SC and were planning our wedding from over 600 miles away. She couldn't have made the process any smoother! Colin was our coordinator the night of the wedding. He came out the night before to help us run through the rehearsal and he couldn't have been more perfect to have on our team the night of the wedding. Certain unsavory guests attempted to throw several wrenches in the works during the reception (because it's not a wedding without a little family drama, apparently) but we were a couple days into our honeymoon before we even realized the extent of the damage because Colin and his team handled everything with such finesse. Additionally, we custom-made our table numbers, our seating chart, and our memorial table. Like total slobs, we handed them a mess of things the day before the wedding in a box and, when we arrived the night of the wedding, everything was set up so beautifully. They made me look good. Thank you all SO much for making our wedding so incredible. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to hire you guys again.

I cannot say enough good things about the William Penn, Caryn, and Colin. The night was amazing and they are the only reason a very anxious bride made it through the night. Despite transportation hiccups that were completely unrelated to the William Penn, causing a 30 min delay, the night stayed on schedule and every last bit of food was hot. We will look back fondly on the William Penn forever!

We are completely satisfied with our entire wedding experience at the William Penn Inn. They are true professionals and the service is top-notch. From the first emails asking about available dates to the delicious brunch the morning after our wedding, we were treated with courtesy and excitement. We booked a year before our wedding and they would contact us when it was time for the tasting (which was awesome), to order the flowers, cake, etc. We worked mainly with Monica while planning the wedding. She was knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Kate did a wonderful job with the flowers and had no trouble working within our budget. Robbin, who was our coordinator the day of the wedding kept everything running smoothly and we didn't have to do anything but enjoy. They truly did make us feel like guests at our own wedding. After looking at what other vendors offer and knowing what was included in our package, there is no doubt that WPI offers a great value for you money. We highly recommend this venue!

I cannot even begin to say how perfect our wedding at the William Penn Inn was. From the moment we inquired about booking our wedding a year ago through our Sunday brunch the day after our wedding, they could not have been more accomodating. Every little detail was attended to - the flowers, cake, service and food were top notch. Our guests were so impressed. We received so many compliments. My new bride and I highly reccomend this venue if you want an exceptional wedding experience. Thank you, WPI.
