The WPI did a wonderful job for our wedding ceremony on the garden, coocktail hour in the Surrey Room, and reception in the Carriage Room. Beautiful grounds, professional staff, and delicious food. We had the best time! Thank you to all who made it possible:)

A customer of mine recommended me to order my cake (like she did for her wedding) at William Penn Inn. I never heard or thought of this since they don't advertise for it, but they do offer wedding cake services! We looked through their wedding cake book and picked the "Scroll Cake" (chocolate mousse & raspberry filling) which was about 5 tiers. For the brides that are interested in a particular style/look for their cake, I'm not sure if they can accommodate to this, I just picked straight from the book. For the scroll cake which was 5 tiers fed about 220 people and was about $375. We received MANY compliments from our guests how delicious the cake was! We had the top tier saved for our anniversary but ended up eating it within the 1st week from our wedding date, yes it was that GOOD! The ONLY drawback to ordering from them is you have to pick it up yourself. I had a few friends that helped out that day and they picked it up with no problems.

I loved my wedding, and thanks to the WPI everything went exactly how I had envisioned. The entire expierience was wonderful. The food was delicious too. The only downside was my wedding cake top tier was smashed in the box so we dont have it to freeze and enjoy when we celebrate our 1st Anniversary :((

I'd dreamed for years of having my wedding reception at the William Penn Inn- I love the beauty, the character, and the historic nature of the place. I'm so happy that we were able to! The reception planning was the easiest part of our wedding, in no small part thanks to Shelley in the banquet office. She was always quick to return a message or answer any one of my gazillion questions. We went with the basic package and did not get any upgrades. We were not disappointed. The floral arrangements were fabulous, and the food was delicious. The cake was absolutely gorgeous, and tasted very good, too. My mom said it was the best wedding cake she'd ever had. I also stayed at the Inn the night before ("home away from home"), and then again with my hubby that night. The suites are beautifully appointed and very comfortable. A wedding coordinator was assigned to us, who made sure we had hors d'oeuvres and drinks, and communicated with the other vendors to help move things along. Our only complaint was timing (dinner took forever!!), but that was due to lack of communication by the DJ. The food was hot and delicious, and the servers were pleasant. We would definitely recommend the Inn to anyone in the area looking for an elegant, historic location for their reception.

Planning process was simplistic and direct, which I appreciated. However, the day of the reception the Inn lost power and they did not bother to inform the wedding party. It was only when my new husband and myself arrived at the Inn did we find that guests were sitting essentially in the dark. The staff was scrambling to find a generator to even power the dj and kitchen so that some food could be made. Offered a room eslewhere to stay overnight, only to find when arriving at the second place that they had no idea we were coming. Overall, very unhappy with the experience. A place in business for this long with this many events should have a back-up plan, and it was very evident that they did not.

I couldn't have been happier with our wedding at the William Penn Inn. The staff and our wedding planner went completely out of their way to make the day run so smoothly. We had so many complements on the awesome food and the atmosphere. The florist Dawn did such an amazing job with our flowers and decorations it took my breath away at how beautiful she made it. I honestly couldn't have been happier to have my wedding and memories at the William Penn Inn. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Everything went very smoothly on our day. Literally the minute I stepped out of my limo our wedding planner (from William Penn that they provide for the day) took me right in and helped me bustle my dress!! I was very impressed and would recommend this venue to everyone. They have very reasonable and affordable prices also.

I was so impressed by these wonderful people! I wanted a very rustic, fall toned theme and I was absolutely floored by the displays. First they decorated my arch with vines and bunches of flowers and leaves, stunning. My two different centerpieces were equally beautiful, one had a base of flowers with willow branches and hanging votives, and another was a vase of fall flowers with votives on the table surrounding it. They did exactly what I wanted and more. They outdid themselves and I couldn't be more grateful!

Did a fantastic job. Food was fabulous. Atmosphere was wonderful. So happy I chose William Penn Inn for our wedding reception.

The William Penn is not only historic and beautiful, but a very special place. Their staff is trained well and so you are in excellent hands. From the first phone call they were attentive and supportive. We worked together in collaboration to create our reception and their coordinators and staff came through with everything. The food was delicious. We had many guests with food allergies and sensitivities and so they had ingredient lists available for anyone with any concerns. We chose to do stations and it was a huge hit. Everyone was able to find food that they liked and it created a more social atmosphere. The flowers were beautiful - and they followed my directions exactly. The reception was tasteful, elegant and seamless. I would recommend The William Penn Inn for a wedding, any special event, or even just for a lovely dinner.

Our reception was incredible! The food was great, the cake was beautiful, everything from the flowers to the lighting was amazing, and the staff was very attentive. We have received so many compliments about how elegant the evening was. We were greeted by our coordinator upon arrival and really did feel like guests at our own reception!!

The William Penn in was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. We had both rooms and used the larger room for our ceremony, which was complimented by our fabric draping that we paid extra $ for. I was told the appetizers at the cocktail hour were great and the food was delicious during the reception. The staff at WPI was very accommodating and made many changes to please us. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding and ceremony!

The banquet managers are really helpful. The bakery and the florist are excellent as well.

William Penn Inn did a beautiful job. Food was fabulous, room was beautiful. The people are very nice and are very eager to help you. My only complaint is the staff seems very unorganized when it comes to money. We called them and asked them for a total on the bill that was due. We got the money, went in to pay, then they tacked on like $300 extra dollars. Then at the reception, someone went up to my father and told him he owed $1000 more. Then actually we got a $95 refund. So that was pretty annoying, but overall, it was a great nite and I would reccomend them.

The William Penn Inn was a great choice. We were in the Surrey Room, which is the smaller of the 2 party rooms. It was the perfect size for 90-100 people. We had 90 and it was just right. The food was the highlight of the evening. The quality is just as exceptional as when you eat in the regular restaurant. As well, there are so many servers and attendants that everything was very seamless. Was worried that we'd notice there was a wedding going on next door, but you wouldn't even know it. The only thing I didn't like at all was the wedding coordinator they assigned us for the day of the wedding. Everything else was fantastic. Best surprise was the cake... it was included in the package and tasted better than expected and looked wonderful.
