Things started off well. We loved the first two vendors Breck introduced us to – Parrish Designs and Jonathan Scott Photography. Breck also was able to secure us a space at the prestigious Indian Creek Country Club and we were thrilled – it was exactly what we were looking for. We were convinced we had made the right decision in choosing The Bond Group. Unfortunately after that, our experience was overwhelmingly disappointing.

Firstly Breck told us to rest assured that the band he had recommended to us was incredible and we need not look further. Thankfully, my mother, who is a professional musician, decided it was worth it to take the long a trip back to Miami to hear the band first-hand before we moved forward. Thank goodness she did. Both she and he her girlfriends, who accompanied her to hear the band, were underwhelmed and not impressed. Since we had put all of our eggs in this band’s basket (turns out Breck and the band leader are very good friends), we were left in a bind with little time to find a replacement band. I took on the task myself and in the end found the band Higher Ground, who were amazing. Yet as I was doing all of the work myself I couldn’t help but think this defeated the purpose of hiring a wedding planner to begin with.

After a string of disappointments throughout the process, the final straw came the week of the wedding. After many requests, we still hadn't received a finalized timeline for the wedding. A few days prior the wedding, Breck sent an email to our host hotels with the incorrect pick-up time for the buses for our ceremony. I immediately noticed it and brought it to his attention, at which point he assured me the error had been corrected. Long story short, it had not, and several of our guests, who had travelled from abroad to be at our wedding, ended up missing our ceremony.

To top it off, before the night was over, we were told that Breck had gone home to walk his dog, without so much as a goodbye.
